Thanks for the video, after watching your recipe,I did exactly the way you did yours and my Okpa came out very fantastic, been cooking Okpa for years but have not been able to get it right till I watched your recipe, thank you very much.
Nice one, however health journals are discouraging us from cooking with cellophane bags(water proof), can you make video of Okpa cooked with leaves instead of cellophane bag.
Very lovely! I normally cook it from time to time. I learnt it from my brother’s wife. She’s from Nenwe. She didn’t use turning stick to teach me how to mix it. She showed me using her hand. The same procedure like yours. 👍
Hello there, I tried your recipe this afternoon and the Okpa came out so so well. I’ve been craving authentic 042 Okpa ever since and I was finally able to achieve that today thanks to your recipe 🫶
What attracted me to your video was your name. You are my namesake 😂. I followed your recipe step by step and mine turned out fine. But Ij, I didn't hear you tell us the number of minutes or hours to cook the okpa. Thank you. More Grace to you.
Imagine being onye orba Nsukka and yet I don't know how to cook Okpa, while gorwing up, my dad never allowed us to enter kitchen and my mom will be like this thing is not good for them in the future, now am seeing the other side of it as i dojt even know how to do ordinary cooking...Thanks so much for taking your time to teach me, please I also want to learn how to Echicha also❤❤❤I have subscribed to your channel and I will be following for update🎉
Okpa looks really good sis. I would suggest adding more information about the ingredients and measurements you used for your recipe. Amount of water, cups of Okpa flour and amount of pepper. Lastly, loving the way you say Okpa🥰
I'm also interested in this measurement because I want to to start cooked okpa business . I've met with two people into the business and they keep posting me.@@CookingwithIjey042
Hi! I have made okpa several times and they always don't come out well. I use onions, pepper, maggi and salt . My okpa comes out hard bottoms and extremely soft top is onions not allowed in okpa? Nice video
You can make with Onions and Crayfish but not Maggi, just following the way i did , but always tie your okpa and put direct to the pot , don't keep it before putting in the pot ok and always mix with hot water ❤️
Ma I have a question. I followed exactly all the steps you listed. And I got a nice Okpa, nice texture, reddish Okpa. But the taste was not 100% for me . I don't know can you help out. Particularly the taste. Every other thing was okay but the taste. I used Cameroon paper Salt Onions Oil Thank you, I await your answer ma
Yes dear , you need to sieve it again with okpa sieve clothe or any material like that , it take 45mim to 1hr depends on how big you tie it , please stay connected ❤️❤️
Hi Sis Cook up to 1hour ok , make sure you have boiling water on the burner already, any okpa you tied put in the boiling water before you tie another one , thanks for coming to my channel ❤❤❤
Now I'm confused. Another you tube video said use warm water(not hot) amd add plenty water( more than what you add when cooking moi- moi) but urs is different. I will kumuma just be buying it then.
My dear try both of them and know which one is good for you, okpa is my village culture ,so that's how we cook it , follow the way I cook mine if you wish and you will be successful thanks
Maybe you add a lot of water, but use hot ,make it slippery ,and water, but not much. Check how I did it on my video .tigh it , shake it, and put direct to the pot
