I watched the build video for this car, it’s so clean I love it! Exhaust work and that custom intake are top notch… you should get a piggyback system and tune it
I have a question for you! Did those ‘shorty’ style headers net any Horsepower or Torque gains?? I’m sure they had to free up the exhaust flow since it deletes the primary cats
Thank you so much man🙏🏻 i know right.. i don’t really like that raspy tone too..the new headers made the car sounds like that..feel kinda regret changing the headers..i lose the deep tone.which I really love it.my old setup nearly sounds like a gtr🥲🤌🏻
@@zezmedia554 thanks you for replying. I had the same issue with my car. I put a full ISF system on it and then PPE headers and it was really raspy. I added two 15 in long resonators and that helped heaps. The V6 is hard to get right. Sorry if I sounded negative on you, not meaning to.
Yea the headers on these motors make them sound super raspy for some reason. Not just straight piped either even if you have hi flo cats it will sound like that. I’ve heard some cars with a ‘quiet’ exhaust put headers on with cats and it sounds just the same, crazy
@@joeymcquilkin3670 I ended up putting a true dual custom on my 350 and it was awesome. Quiet but sounded brilliant with the ISF rear mufflers. Also made hp. So from the headers; GESI 2.5 in cats. Then 2.25 into an X pipe. Then 2 12 inch hot dog resonators, then 2 15 inch long round mufflers near the diff area and then into the ISF mufflers at the back. Dead quiet at cruising speeds and a really nice mellow sound under full throttle. No drone. Not any rasp. Big power gain over the stock ISF system.
Bro, on your stock headers, after u remove the cats, any check engine light came out? Power increase.? and, where did you get those headers from. Custom ke? I'm over in Sarawak.. We have chat on facebook as well, driving a black IS250 as well.. :)
Yes bro.check engine light definitely will come out after removing cats..I don’t feel any power increase but after the headers yes i got more throttle response ..bought the headers directly from japan bro.btw i dont have Facebook account 🙌🏻
@@zezmedia554 owhh, saw an IS250 , red as well, te37 wheels from KL area also.. haha.. Ingatkan sama org. Lupa nama, later try and trace down.. haha.. If that's the case, then, i think i'll just keep them stock. Only using an axle back set up now. Thanks for the info..
@@zezmedia554 yeah considering either cut off the cats nearest to the engine as well. Have removed the other 2 downstream. But, since no significant power increase, not sure if it is worth it. Dah dyno ka, this set up?
The drone is not bad at all..still can relax and not feel uncomfortable while cruising..you can hear nice sounds of the exhaust and not droning too bad
the best sounding exhaust note for an is250 is simply not driving an is250 and buying an IS F. people putting exhausts on a 2.5L v6 is so funny to me, never sounds good regardless. At the very least trade in for a 350 lmao
