If you go more shorter hair perm in future you should do a strong perm with small long green colored rods that is root curled for firm tight curls then if you want to you can ask to extra perm lotion for longer lasting curls before perm drops.
Heck, yeah!!! These are the kind of curls you were needing! They do the highlights justice - now you just need some more highlights for better blending and to shift the color balance just a little bit lighter overall! But it still looks great!
LOVE the tighter curls - you look STUNNING with them! I think you hav worked out your perm schedule now - with shorter hair it is more like 3 times a year (every 4 months) rather than twice a year. This is quite typical for hair above chin length - with some people actually needing to do it every 3 months if there hair grows fast! Next time I suggest trying a mix of either pink and grey rods, or pink and white! I like how the hi-lites are holding up from last time - and they really do add dimension and definition to the tighter curls! They do look a bit streaky in places though - particularly upper back of your head. This is where a cap would work much better by making a more intricate blended mix of light and dark! I would DEFINITELY do your full head rather than just the front sections though when you come to re-do them!!!
Thank you!! I am still wanting to do the highlights using a cap but waiting for them to fade out before re-doing them. Like I said before, I want to focus more on the front of my face with highlights but still will have them throughout my head. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE having short and curly! I never thought I would like it but I feel like this style was made for me :)
@@vivianpratte I still think youd look better if you did the hi-lites evenly through your whole head though!😍 Just found part of an old comment I made on your first perm video last September: "Youve truly found your hairstyle here if you ask me (everyone has a hairstyle that works best for them). Before you know it you will hav got used to it and you will find yourself re-perming it every 4 months for the next 20 years - just you watch!" Normally I'd hate to say "I told you so", but this time I'm glad! LOL
Wow, this perm's MUCH better than your last one!!! Tight curls are so you! I love how the highlights, well... highlight your curls and show their texture! You just need a lot more of them in thinner strands running right the way through (not only the front). I'm deducing by what you said about not getting them done in fall, but in March that you are planning another perm for in the fall? Three perms a year is about right for short and bobbed hair, so I'm guessing you are getting into the cycle of March, July and November every year? This would make sense to give you fresh strong curls for spring, summer and Christmas every year, with new highlights done at the end of each winter!
lol you about summed it up!! Thanks, I'm totally digging the short and curly right now - and yes, waaaaay better than the beach waves. I am sticking with tighter curls from now on!!!
This looks very wonderful in your hair! Tight curls are much better suited to you! I like it shorter too! What color rods did she use, and what type/brand of perm solution? Did you video any of the perm at the salon? The highlights make very big difference to curl accentuation as you say. I understand waiting for existing to grow out before renew them. I think you should do full head when you do and not just front, and use cap to do it.
@@nishavalli1437 I agree, the outcome was exactly what I was looking for!! I videod the salon the last time - I didn't want to do it this time because I was super lazy lol. I have a lot going on at the moment so a short and sweet video is all I had time for. I will definitely do a full video with the cap hightlights in March 2023.
@@vivianpratte Yes, life is very busy again all of a sudden! Thankyou for finding time to do this video! Will the video in March capture the processes of cutting, highlighting and perming in the salon? It would be very insightful to go into technical details/demonstration of rod winding, rod placement, solutions used, cap technique, highlight placement, shaping the cut etc. needed to achieve such very beutiful outcomes with your hair!
Is there any chance of making a short update/styling video for your new tighter curls now that the perm has had a couple of weeks to settle? Would be interesting to see how the curls now look! Thanks!
How's the perm weathering 3 months after getting it? Are the curls still tight? Will you need to reperm again it soon? Which rods have you decided on next time?
@@vivianpratte Oh that will look nice! Will you leave it a little longer at the back this time? I think this will look good with the sides similar length to on this video. Slightly longer and thicker curly bangs across just above your brows will look great as well! Please make a video showing off the results!!!
@@vivianpratte That sounds fun and interesting! I'm really interested in how your perm is done in view of the highlights and vice versa - as I've been getting highlights for years now, and am seriously debating whether to get mine done!
OMG! YO LOOK WAY WAY BETTER WITH TITE CULZ IN YOR HAIR!!! WILL BE SOOPER CUTE WHEN YO GET MOOR HILIGHTS DONE IN MARCH!!! YO SHOOD DO YOUR FULL HEAD WITH SILVER HILIGHTS TO MAKE YOR HAIR LIGHTER!!! WILL SUIT YO BETTER THAN DARK WITH YOR HAIR FULL OF CURLZ!!!
Tight curls *really are* your thing!!! The hi-lights really bring the curls to life, and look at their best at 3:41 on the front and left side of your head where they are most evenly distributed. It would look better still with a slightly higher proportion of lightened to dark sections, and evenly distributed through all of your hair! A frosting cap would be the ideal way to do this when you refresh your hi-lights in 2023. I actually think you should grow the back slightly longer whilst maintaining the current length at the sides. You'd look good with longer side swept curly bangs as well! I think pink and blue rods would do a great job if used in a spiral wrap perm. The style in this picture would look perfect on you with full head hi-lights: i.pinimg.com/originals/49/d9/00/49d900a2b6fea8d31c01ac047786a90e.jpg
Thank you! I am not sure yet on pink and blue rods... It's intimidating!!! It's not out of the question but not right now lol. I'm definitely going to do the cap highlights though
I completely agree with everything in this comment! More highlights evenly distributed through your entire head would work better than just focusing on the front I'm pretty certain. If you worked your way up to the length, cut and spiral curls in the linked picture for your perm in March 2023 and did the highlights with it as suggested, I don't think there will be a lady with better hair on planet Earth!
@@vivianpratte Haha I'll HOLD you to that next March!!! Make sure you save a copy of the picture in the link to your computer though as YT has a habit of deleting links from comments!
