Actually he has. I’m at the shelter right now and there’s tons of programs here to help you with food Medicare dental jobs and there are case workers here every day that help you with housing. There’s lots of programs out here that people are unaware of. It’s just that people either just are lazy and don’t want to put in the effort to help themselves or they simply rather smoke cigarettes and be high

It’s sad, but, take into consideration than in many other countries the body would just stay there and rot away or the people retrieving a body would just toss it in a truck and dump it in some pit without any investigations. At lease Americans still have a ‘glimmer’ of respect for the dead. Even when you die America is the best place to die.

Sympathies for the motorman and the homeless person. Yeah, they shouldn’t be in the tunnel but the city should be doing a better job of making the shelters safe. If the mayor really thinks things are better let him ride on a few of these calls. Oh, and yes, the TA should be doing tunnel sweeps if they’re not doing so already. Q: Why city cops and not transit cops?

If a person has the judgment to sleep next to a death trap, no amount of improvement to shelters will convince such a person to utilize a shelter instead. This here was simply a case of natural selection at work.

Hey. This was my friend that got killed. Can you answer some questions for me. I don't live in city I'm not familiar with how it works. How do they get in the tunnels? & how do they know when the trains going to come. Are their other places to get out besides the way you came in?

@@rieshiarivera8115 there's many different ways to get into/out of the tunnels, the easiest being the way you saw the cops exiting the tunnel while they were carrying the victim out. That victim being your friend, I'm terribly sorry. This station is on my route to work and I will say a prayer for her as I pass through this tunnel next time. As for the trains, there are lights in the tunnels that signal when trains come (conductors use these to know when to stop/enter into a station, the same way traffic lights work for cars).

Thanks for replying. The information is very helpful. My friend was a 28 year old female. So sad that her life was taken in such a terrible way. All prayers are appreciated. I just hate not knowing why she was in the tunnel. Sucks not knowing. She could of been on danger and was running from someone. First thing most people assume is suicide. But I don't think that's fair because the murder rate down there is insane.

Unfortunately, to these workers it’s second nature. They do this every day and sometimes twice a day. Also today is a Holiday so trains are running on a holiday schedule. They do sometimes shut down the trains in NYC for hours during rush hour. I was wondering if the person was dragged by the train into the tunnel? May this person RIP🙏. They probably have no family and will be buried in potters field. Sad ending to this person’s already sad life.
