If my hearing doesn't decieve me, Tatsuya in the japanese version sounds exactly like Dio Brando from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. While Shido's japanese voice actor played Char Aznable from the GUNDAM series. 2 completely different people.
@@pozertron not once does he mention the JP version, and the fact that he commented in English says that most likely he played the English version of the game
Kei Nanjo Yeah, I'm surprise when they include P1 and P2 DLCs. Hmm, they not include persona though, I think it because Persona design of 1 and 2 isn't suitable for now a day persona games
Dawn Poke I think the designs of the Personas from 2 would still fit. They fit more with the Personas from 4 and 5, than some of the ones from P3 imo. Especially Apollo and Artemis (Tatsuya and Maya's Personas) as well as Lisa's.
Kei Nanjo They never forgot. There are references to P1 and P2 characters in P3 and there are remixes of a few iconic P2 songs. In P4Dancing, there are costumes of various P1 and P2 characters as well. And then there's the dlc for this game. Even the 20th anniversary celebration... Poster? (I forgot the word tbh lol) shows Naoya and Tatsuya and even Maya along with the other Persona protags. They've been throwing a bunch of nods to the old games throughout the series. I guess all that's not enough for some older fans though, cause I still see people complaining about how they've been "forgotten"...
tirtytirtyturtle I agree on that. It's the a lot of fans that refuse to acknowledge the first to, not really atlus. It actually really irks me when see stuff like "I'm huge Persona fan, P3 and P4 are awesome." I'm just like "...so we're forgetting how to count?" Lol. Persona 1 and both 2's get slept on too much by the fans imo. Sure the gameplay isn't exactly the same as future titles but they do have their strengths, particularly in 2. Fusion spells and more element types for example. Plus 2's story is the best in the series imo. Admittedly, P1 is the weakest of the series in pretty much every regard imo, but it's where the series started so that's kinda expected. P4G is my favorite of the main series, but the first two deserve some love too, Persona fans...
To be fair, 1 and 2 are dated by todays standards. Not to mention the limited release of them as well. Unless you want a crappy version of 1 in the PS1 version, you only have the PSP remake, Innocent Sin only got fan translation on emulator and a PSP remake, Enternal Punishment is PS1 Classic only, if you're in the US anyway. RIP EU. My point being that I'd like wider releases of those games, hell even remakes. I'm still sad as fuck we didn't get PSP remake of EP.
"Okay! This is a gift of love, from me to you. Take it sweetheart!" "OOOOH YEAH!! COME ON BABY! LET'S DO IT! OOOOHHHH EVERYBODY! HEYHEYHEYHEY!. So long!" "Oho! Are you trying to seduce me?" ".....no"
I recently picked up Persona 5 and I noticed how similar it and persona 2 are. (Sorry in advance if my knowledge of persona 2 lore is a little scrambled it's been a few years since I played.)Both games have a strong focus on corruption in society and finding the heart to fight it. It's easy to make a connection between Lisa and Ann. Both of them are very quirky and bubbly. Past that, they even have similar backstories. They both have to deal with discrimination and rumors about their past/heritage. ALSO, both Lisa and Ann have close connections to their friends. Specifically Shiho for ann, and Sheba and Mee-ho for Lisa. (there is NO way those names are a coincidence). I was quick to compare Eikichi to Ryuji. Both of them come off as dangerous, reckless bros, but they both really care for their friends. Yusuke is pretty much a blue-haired jun. When I first saw Ohya in game I was convinced she was Maya in disguise. Not only do they look incredibly similar and act similar, but they are even in the same line of work. Also, of course, there's the return of the whole demon negotiating system which is rad. It's pretty awesome how persona 5 is keeping persona 2 alive!
So, and now with PersonaQ 2 comming out, some people hope that the P5 and P2-Cast cross paths this time. What do you think about that? Sorry, if my english isn't great.
In my opinion the protagonists of P2 and P5, tatsuya and akira, are the most interesting of the persona protags. Watching them interact would be a treat.(The lovable-ish jerk and the classic bad-ass.) Although I love the idea of the return of the persona 2 cast, I doubt atlus will bring them back for PQ2. There just aren't enough persona 2 fans out there. But, if this dream scenario were to really go down It'd be cool to see how newer persona fans feel about the unique persona 2 characters. (Also hearing the persona 2 people fully voiced would be great).
Thanks. I was actually kinda surprised. I thought this was just an Idea going around in my head. But i found quite some people who had that idea too. However, i think you're right. It will probably remain a dream scenario. Altough, it'd be really a treat.
Bella Duprey Suchowolec I'd play p1-4 (fes and golden only) if they were re-released on ps4. I'm not buying a psp/vita just to play them, though. my only pre-p5 experience was the p4 anime. would've picked up arena and the like if I were into fighting and rhythm games...
I don't think ATLUS wants new players getting turned off by the whole series if they didnt enjoy the first 2 game. What defines a persona game is the social links which the first two didnt have
@@CallumTheCalamity theyre both lovers arcana, rise, ann, and yukari are all inspired by lisa. ryuji, junpei and kanji are also inspired directly from eikichi
Because P2 is wierd localization. PS1 >P2 innocent sin is jp only >P2 eternal punishment is localized PSP remake >P2 innocent sin is localized >P2 eternal punishment is JP only
@@theraiden9631 It mainly comes down to your opinion on what persona game is your favorite as they all seem to be great games and to be honest most people just choose the first one they played as their favorite, but the persona community also generally agrees on the fact that P2 is the best
I wanna try P2(played P3,4 golden and just finished 5) but i'm worried i'm gonna get bummed out by the random encounters just like i did when i tried to play the P1 remake for PSP. I love turn based combat but I HATE random encounters with a fiery passion. That's one thing i'm not sad that's going away.
Oh i've also played SMT: nocturne, Digital devil sage 1 and 2, devil survivor 1 and 2 overclocked, strange journey and 4. I also ordered SMT: apocalypse.
There really isn't any wifu bait anywhere in the persona series has far has I'm concerned, its advertised has a balance between your social life and the fighting, no aspect is valued over the other.
Nah, the waifu bait is nice, the only sad thing is that the plot are becoming less “serious" and more childish, the persona series was intented to be an horror/thriller series
I never played P1 or P2, but it would cool if Atlus was either remastered them with 5's gameplay. or port them to the PS4 along with 3 and 4 golden. Also this battle theme sounds so similar to Ryu's street fighter alpha 3 theme.
@@gamerprince-tl5hg It wouldn't be possible, while Person 3, 4 and 5 stories happens in a period of one year, the events of Persona 1 and 2 happens in a short period of time, just in some days, probably
@@gamerprince-tl5hg I agree, the lack of the life sim element made the villains seem way more threatening because they are on the same plane of existence has you the whole time. Unlike in P3 & P5, (it was kind of there in P4 but not to the extent of P2) you feel safer because you know the threat is in some other world that you can go to at your own leisure.
Randomly stumbled upon this song while messing with different outfits on my 2nd playthrough of P5R and after hearing it twice I immediately left this on for like half the game
At first I was a bit disappointed that this isn’t exactly the same as the P2 PSP version, but then I realized this version goes easier on your ears. PSP version is awesome but your ears need a break from it real quick.

@@CatManThree Naoya did in fact have a canon name as Yuya narumi in the official published drama cd by Atlus but most people seemed to just stick to Naoya Toudou
Faith Art are there psp emulators? If so download it, and play persona 2 innocent sin. It's actually a very underrated persona game. Great cast of characters, good story. P1 is a bit hard to get into.
They only released the PSP version of P2 Eternal Punishment in Japan so you'd have to play the PS1 release of EP that can be played on PS3 so that one should be okay for you. But yes, the other two games are only on PSP so you'd need a PSP, VIta or a PSP emulator.
