You guys made me hungry really nice looking sandwiches....How are Audrey with the tooth job hope feeling better saw last few videos after your teeth extractions
Samuel and Audrey have to visit the gastronomic carnival Mistura in Lima on September. Mistura is the main gastronomic carnival in Latin America. Greetings
Lomo Saltado is one of the most popular Peruvian dishes and symbolizes like no other the fusion of Peruvian ingredients with Asian techniques of preparing food. Lomo Saltado is made of sliced beef stir stir-fried with red onions, tomatoes, yellow Peruvian chilies (aji amarillo), soy sauce, vinegar and cilantro.
Why do you guys do this to me? I'm far, far, away from Peru. Next time in Lima, I'll have to stop by La Lucha, but I definitely never miss El Chinito, you guys should give it a try, best pan con chicharron I have ever had. Sigan disfrutando Lima.
La lucha sandwiches is mandatory Every time I go visit lol My favorite is the carne asada with chicha morada and can't forget those fries are out of this world. Booking a ticket to Peru now. ( drooling rigth now)
Ah Audrey, I had my four wisdom teeth pulled some 13 yrs ago, the whole experience was really something........I hope your experience will be better :) as for the video, another excellent clip, and those sandwiches look amazing
Honestly, it took a while like a week; as for the gap/wound to fill in/heal it took like 6 months...coz wisdom teeth are so deep......my heart goes out to Audrey.....I am sure she'll be fine
Audrey & Sam - Verlos comer con tantas ganas 😋 Me dá hambre! Son lindos! Nos muestran tantos lugares y comidas de Perú, que dan ganas de estar ahi probando todo! 😘
I am in love with that sangucheria it’s yummy everytime i am at lima i have to make a stop over there everything is so good!!when i see your video my mouth waters.
Also down in Miraflores there’s a small bakery , it’s a family place , you can eat tapas, desserts, sandwiches, only locals know about it, it’s called “ El Buen Gusto”, and old tradition in Miraflores , when it was a residential district and not the tourist place that is now. Try it , you’ll like it.
I remember having the chicharon (pork) sandwich with a slices of sweet potato, onions sprinkled tiny bits of aji that gave the sandwich a kick but did not feel hot at all. The bread that is baked on site was excellent as well. I also remember going crazy tasting different kind of juices made with exotic fruits that are not available in US and when I lived in Peru I never thought that they ever existed.
Hola! Cuando vengan a Buenos Aires deben ir a Sipan restaurante a cargo del chef peruano Adán Reymundo calle Uriarte 1648, Palermo y hacer un video con su experiencia allí. Saludos!
I think "Edam" cheese is that cheese that's covered in red wax, sort of like Babybel and Jarlsberg. Anyway, the sandwiches looked delicious ! if they'd put avocado in that chicken sandwich I'd be in heaven :) I'm curious as to how "Aji" tastes as well. I'm off to my local international supermarket now !
Funny fact , the owner of La Lucha is not peruvian, is an american, is a good fast food place though, he knows the local taste. You guys should try Astrid & Gaston, prices are lower now, but the menu is fantastic, better than ever, Gaston is back at the kitchen.
Taboada is the Piurano owner of Lucha, who is currently no longer participating in the restaurants. Jay Shihade, was the manager who has taken over. Apparently they both come from way back, working together.
Thank you! Yes, she can speak fluently. We have another channel in Spanish if you're interested to see her speak Spanish: ru-vid.com/show-UCD6d0LAeU8Ye51cxWGuPW4g
I am not watching your videos anymore. Just kidding. I ment without eating something first :-) . I am so hungry now and I am still at work. You guys are definitely one of my favorite RU-vidrs.
When you both are in London you guys should visit NOTTING HILL CARNIVAL it is an annual event which happenes either on the 26,27 or 28th of august normally on an Sunday and Monday bank holiday weekend every year in august. Add it on your list for places to do/visit. There's a parade, food, music and many other things to do. It is an all culture event. CHECK IT OUT
@@samuelandaudrey it is happening today and tomorrow. Today is kids day for the parade but adults can do it and tomorrow Is the adults parade. It is a great atmosphere every nation goes to this event, people from overseas like your selves goes.
Been in Peru for 5 yrs. 7 months. My comments to your blog: *I love La Lucha *Actually, you can not eat Lucama on it's own. It is NOT sweet at all and the texture is like eating dry sawdust! Sugar must be added as well as heavy cream! *Chicha La Lucha is Chicha Morada, served everywhere in Peru. La Lucha's version has more sugar than a place that might serve it for lunch menu (soup, plato fuerte and drink -5 to 15 soles). Purple corn is not really the main ingredient, if fact, it's not even in the drink, it is boiled in the water (main ingredient) and that gives it the color, maybe a hint of flavor but you will find more clove flavor than corn flavor and then the 2nd main ingredient is sugar! *I always use the yellow aji sauce but I have to have the red rocoto sauce because it is hotter! *They never put enough of the cebolla criolla (red onion, cilantro and lime) on the sandwich so I always as them for an extra side plate, no extra charge. *La Lucha has the best bread for sandwiches. *leña is firewood. madera is wood. *I need to try the pollo a la leña sometime. I have only tried the chicharron (my usual), the asado de res ( roast beef w/ a brown gravy, edam cheese and carmalized onions, I think I have to ask for the onions because carmalized onions are on the lomo sandwich, no extra charge), the club (pretty standard - no fancy bread) and the cheese burger, they make a really nice burger which can be hit or miss, usually miss, in South America. *lomo is back, loin or sir loin steak. Res is beef vaca is cow.
Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos hi guys ! Are you guys planning to go to Peru at some point? I live in canada as well and thinking of going around December to January?
So yummy 😋 actually I’had already whatched your visit to La Lucha in your Spanish channel but I enjoyed as well watching your English version. I’m dying for a chicharrón sandwich 😍🤤
La lucha is my favourite sanguchería, everything there is delicious and not pricey at all! I couldn't help drooling during the whole video. Great video, Audrey and Sam 😊
Someone had a jack fruit on facebook it was a huge fruit and cut it open and pull pieces out and can cook or eat raw have you heard of those? Are you getting teeth pulled in peru?
Thank you, my grand daughter taught school for a few months in Thailand and traveled around there. Her brother and girlfriend traveled on a motor bike and were in Cambodia and Thailand.
As for starchy-ness of potatoes in Peru, what do you expect, correct me if I wrong, potatoes come from North/South America so they have the right to be a little bit starchier than elsewhere :)
Ah, that totally makes sense. According to Wikipedia... The potato was first domesticated in the region of modern-day southern Peru and extreme northwestern Bolivia between 8000 and 5000 BC. It has since spread around the world and become a staple crop in many countries. Potato - Wikipedia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Potato
Audrey you are getting your wisdom teeth pulled out in Peru? I had two(i only had the bottom ones no top ones) and for only two here in Canada i paid $1600 my wallet cried for a long time
Check out Siete Sopas! It’s the same owner of La Lucha and they have more plates and they have some of the best soups I have ever had! And it’s perfect since you guys are here during the winter time!
The onion mixture is onions cilantro, and lime juice and sometimes red peppersive also heard of adding some minced mint and that supposedly goes well with pork.
Was the bread crusty? I thought I heard a crunch when you bit into it. BTW, I'm assuming it's cheaper to pull wisdom teeth in Peru instead of Canada if Audrey is doing it there?
Thank you for your awesome videos! Will be in Perú from the 27 of December till January 12, have learned so much from your videos! Sus videos son los más completos e informativos. Mil gracias!
From my opinion, the camera chooses the object to focus on considering all frame. Maybe it would be more useful to adjust some smaller autofocusing area in the centre of frame.
It looks soooo delicious. I got hungry!!!!! It is incredible how after being born and living so many years in Lima, I never knew any of these places you guys r mentioning. Proof i did not have a life lol! 😂 i am definitely trying it when i go in a few months!

Bruno Gambini in Brazil there is no Lucuma cultivation unless there is frozen lucuma imported from Peru, in Hawaii they grow it and they call it "egg fruit"
