PETA VS Vegan Teacher 

How many did you get right?

The thing I genuinely hate about the Vegan Teacher and Peta is they are just wanting everyone to turn vegan, but they never actually explain how to eat vegan HEALTHILY. You can try to be vegan and end up in hospital due to not getting enough nutrients you would be getting from meats and dairy products. Plus there is stuff like you need to eat a LOT more greens to equal the same amount of protein in meat due to it’s harder for your body to break down the cellulose into bio ready nutrients compared to meat, or have to take a supplement pill since you can’t get enough from plants alone. It’s almost like humans are omnivores so are built to get all this stuff from plants AND animals. (Granted our sources of meat SHOULD be humane as possible and there are people who have to be on no meat diets for health reasons. Still doesn’t mean you should be an a**hole and guilt shame/bully the world into being vegan)

Speaking as a Christian, here is what I have found while reading the Bible: in the Old Testament, animals such as sheep, goats, cattle, and even birds have to be slaughtered and burned to act as sacrificial offerings; in the New Testament, while Jesus' sacrifice does put an end to this practice (although, I don't know how long that took to catch on), two of his disciples were fishermen, and one of the first things he did, both upon first meeting and after his resurrection, was fill their nets so full of fish that their boats began to sink (in both cases, the fishing wasn't going very well before his arrival). Needless to say, we are not at all vegan. (As a matter of fact, the New Testament even tells us not to let others limit our diets, or to tell anyone else how they should be eating.)

the term "end speciesism" is the most easy to turn down argument i have ever encountered because the only thing you need to retort is "ok if you solve racism i will solve speciesism"

“Cheese is the most sexist thing you could eat” This just sounds like on the level of that tiktok of “I’m so alpha male I drink BULL’S milk!”

The best extremist vegan deflect I've found is "Why can't we eat animals if millions of other species on our level of the food chain do it? Remember that we're animals too. "

“You need to be Vegan to get to heaven!!!” Asking from the viewpoint of a Catholic Christian, are you talking about the same Heaven that uhhh…oh yeah! The same Heaven that asked for God’s followers to sacrifice a goat in the start of the bible? Yeah, THAT’S vegan if I’VE ever seen it!!!

Her comments about hunting being bad really irk me. I understand being vegan because you dislike factory farming, but Vegan Teacher seems to believe "humans killing animals = wrong" no matter the context. Animals kill other animals to eat meat all the time in nature, it's just the way things are. But then again she's the type of vegan who tries to force her dog into a vegan diet so...

Even the vegan teacher is an enemy of PETA

"End speciesism" implies giving all life, including PLANTS, PROTISTS, FUNGI, AND EVEN FUCKING PROKARYOTES RIGHTS.

I noticed the vegan teacher has a dog. If she's refusing to feed an obligate carnivore meat, that's definitely "speciesism". Dogs, cats, etc don't have a choice. They NEED meat, especially raw meat, to be healthy. If you want to avoid being a hypocritical jerk, get a rabbit or something.

Oh all the unhinged parts of this the one that gave me the biggest headache was the heaven related song only because like... Christianity is actually pretty explicitly pro meat eating? There are rules to it like most things and those vary by sect (like many Catholics don't eat meat on Fridays and even then "meat" is often defined in a way where eating a fish is completely fine) but none the less its biblical canon that God created animals with the notion humans would consume them in mind.

You know I actually tried to go vegan for a little bit, but I actually ended up getting severely depressed and because of a lack of nutrients my brain needs to stay sane

I’d like to know if vegan teacher has looked at the stats for number of animals killed as a result of farming. How does she sleep at night being a contributor to the billions of annual insect deaths, not to mention poisoning groundhogs, badgers, snakes, rodents, rabbits, birds of all kinds…

Fun fact, I was born in a hospital that is a block down the street from PETA's main office building

ThatVeganTeacher actually laughed at someone's death :) That person was a follower of hers and died because their body didn't get enough nutrients to survive, and the first thing she did was mock that person in a video. She made an entire video to mock that dead person

I know my body and my psychology well enough to know that if I tried not eating meat I would be doomed to a painful and probably not all that slow death. So that person with the protein deficiency was probably not exaggerating all that much. On another note, there are a few nutrients that are a lot more difficult to get in plant products than animal products, and B12 just is not found outside of animal products in nature. This is easy enough to get around in developed countries, not so much out in the bush in Africa.

people who act like this are so weird to me cuz they always act like people who eat meat hate animals and know nothing about how animals are treated i've lived with animals my entire life, i've done a lot of research on a lot of animals and have done a lot of research on how they're treated in a lot of different situations and i eat meat, it's one of the only foods i really like

Here’s a fun fact, plants make high pitched noises when some parts of them are cut off, scientists associate it with screaming. Edit: alrigjt I was SLIGHTLY wrong, but according to a tobacco and tomato study on Tel Aviv university, some plants do in fact “”scream”” when stressed. Edit 2: I also found that a new study suggest that if plants are stressed but drought they emit ultrasonic sounds like screams, I know it sounds stupid but it’s slightly true,

speciesist is the one "ist" I have no issue with being called. Yes, I do value human life over animal life. I also value different kind of animals' lives differently; I do not think a gnat is as valuable as a zebra. And you can bet that if we run into intelligent life out there, they will prioritize their own species over us. I think it's inherent to protect our own species since we're such social animals. Not that inherent drives shouldn't be challenged, and I do think that we have a responsibility to treat them ethically, but I see literally no reason to value non-human animals on the same level as humans.

I have a blood condition. This said condition requires that I eat red meats, or I’d have some problems. One time, I had to go hone from school thanks to these said problems. Not only that, but think of some people such as the Inuit tribe who lived up in the north where there was BARELY any fruits or vegetables. They HAD to eat meat to SURVIVE. We are OMNIVORES. Not only that, but you don’t have to be vegan to be a christian. God had Abraham sacrifice a lamb instead if Issac. We can’t forget Passover, an event with the ten plagues of Egypt where Israelites had to protect their first-borns by covering their door in sheep’s blood. Vegan Teacher is an insane idiot, and most of us aren’t being cruel from eating animals. We NEED to eat them. She needs to stop harassing us into thinking we are cruel and evil demons for eating a piece of cheese and let us live our lives.

I'll consider not eating meat when every last Lion, Coyote, Wolf, Fox, Alligator, Snake, Crocodile and the other countless species that are carnivores or omnivores stop eating meat. Eating meat is the most natural thing in our world. Not to mention putting animals before people is sociopathic.

The problem with PETA and Vegan Teacher is they take an important issue, the ethical treatment of animals, and pull it to such an extreme as to render it laughable. The meat industry is very cruel to the animals it processes for profit...and even the human workers don't get treated all that well (just look at conditions during the pandemic). That is something that really does need to change. If you want to have a little fun though...Vegetarians and Vegans are far more cruel than people who eat meat. You see, by the time meat makes it to the table, its dead. Veggies, on the other hand, are often kept alive so they'll stay fresher. Just because you can't hear it scream doesn't mean it doesn't feel pain.

I'll be real here - my family does occasionally choose vegetarian options (Salads and stuff) but we remain omnivorous simply because we need proteins.

I have read parts of the bible when I was younger, it is easily the bloodiest collection of stories I have ever read that was not primarily about war, and I only read like maybe a fifth of it. It was the most violent book I had read up to that point, and the sheer volume of animal based death in particular is gratuity unchallenged
