So basically the only way players could keep up with Bonds is if they use steroids and put their health at risk. You’re cool with that?

And like Rose said,... it's not just the players. The new ballparks were built smaller, and the ball was wound tighter. In the old days the outfield dimensions were deeper. Forbes Field in Pittsburgh had a Center Wall at 457 ft, and the RT field line was 375ft. A newer stadium like AT&T (Oracle Park) in San Francisco has a RT field line of 309 ft.

After he bulked up with whatever it was bulked him up, he was still a great natural hitter but he could swing twice as fast as a human being.
