Here's my video of Peter Criss singing Hard Luck Woman by KISS on stage with Ace Frehley at Creatures Fest in Nashville 2022. This was the first time Peter and Ace has played together in years. What a dream come true for me!
This is excellent! I especially enjoy seeing Peter and Ace rocking out together. These guys are my favorites with the original lineup. Although I grew up an 80's Kiss fan I never stopped searching for their 70's stuff. 😊
@@user-lv7zf6cu4d yeah but they were too hopeless and drunk and drugged out to perform for a significant part of it. without Gene and Paul putting conditions on them their lazy asses would have accomplished nothing.
I remember an article in Guitar World in the late 90s where Ace said that he "gravitated" towards Peter because Gene and Paul had their heads up their ass. In Rush's 30 year biography, there's a story about Alex Lifeson and Geddy Lee, of Rush, a band Kiss played with a lot in the mid 70s, getting Ace something for his birthday, and Ace telling them that his own bandmates didn't even care enough to get him something.
Yeah, the two guys that stopped giving a shit about the band as soon as they hit it big, the two that cared about booze and drugs more than the band......
@@michaelracicot233 i would of stopped giving a shit too if i had to listen to Pauls constant whining and Genes jealousy.......not too mention Paul hanging with child molester Bill Aucoin
I disagree Gene still sounds better than both. But in his day Peter had the most distinctive voice. And my favorite of the 4 solo lps. That said Eric Carr crushed him as a drummer.
I hope you mean back in the 70's and 80's and part of the 90's, cause Ace of today is a trainwreck. He's horrible, an embarrassment. Love his body of work, but the man didn't just pass his prime, he warp factor 6'd right by it. Check out anything he's sung in the past 20 yrs. He makes 71 yr old Paul sound like the best singer alive.
Peter Criss has a very powerful clean original distinctive voice. Peter "The OG Cat" Criss a founding member of the legendary rock band "KISS" is a great singer\drummer\performer no doubt about it!!!
Paul Stanley wrote a killer Klassic with this one. Peter did this amazingly on the album. This was a great video. I loved seeing him smile when the crowd screamed. Thanks for uploading this.
This brings back a.dlood of memories a d emotions. I remember being in 4th grade and my buddy who's no longer with us, brought in a KISS album and introduced me to a new band. It was around 1973 or 74. Thanks Dave!
Peter and Ace ,the bad boys back together again. They were great together on tour during there bad boys show.I got to see that tour and it was awesome. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I think Beth was a bigger hit (their BIGGEST hit?). But I also wonder if it wasn’t a strategic decision just to give themselves a break during the show. Even Peter got to come out from behind the drum set and just sit down and sing during Beth.
I've been a KISS fan since hotter than hell was a new album and it's just moving to see this. Great song by Paul beautifully sung by Peter. And I also love the current lineup and I'm glad I'm going to see them one more time.
Peter Criss sounds excellent... wish he would do an "unplugged" album... with Ace... kinda like Rod Stewart did with Ron Wood back in the early 1990's... his voice just has that raspy soulful quality no one else in KISS ever has come close to...
Outstanding to see these two together again on stage. Would love to see the original 4 do a couple more shows. Oh well . . . 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 In my humble opinion, the vocal skills of Peter Criss were horribly underutilized! A number of the few songs which feature Kriss’ vocals found their way onto the charts. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I remember perfectly hearing this on the radio and not hearing name of the band. I was literally like ‘ damn. I like it!!! ‘ who are these guys…A day later I was telling a friend about the song ‘ Hard luck or something like that’ I said. He replied. ‘ Oh yeah... Thats off Kiss’s new album’ I think that was a true break out song. No smoke. No fire. Four dudes clicking and a great voice driving it..
Gracias.
I respect Peter for being vocal about that he isnt a hardrock fan. Regardless, he was the perfect fit at that time. He was bold enough to release a solo album that was so far away from Kiss as possible. Guts!
@@BloodySoup74 its the most eclectic of the four and in a weird way the most honest. its a window into the man and a guy and a musician in the span of a full LP you get Radioactive and When you Wish Upon a Star. its really an interesting piece
Paul Stanley was my favorite and one of the best vocalists in rock history but that’s not to say anything bad about Mr. Criss because no one could possibly sing his songs better than he does. The fine tuned gravel of his voice was and is simply magical. I love you, Pete! How about getting back in the studio, your public needs you.
I love Paul Stanley as a frontman and I love his voice. But Peter always had that raspy Rod Stewart-esque type vocals that gave Kiss a more classic rock dimension.
@@nickhill8612No, and "IF" anyone just stopped to think about how ridiculous Paul saying that was. Think about it, Peter had given Kiss a HUGE shot in the arm with Beth. It received airplay and was the song even non Kiss fans knew back in '76. It won a People's Choice Award . Soooo Paul SHOULD have written it for Peter and proudly told the world he did so!! That would have made a LOT more sense!!!!!
