This is an unedited unmodified Philips 3200 LatteGo demonstration, so you can see how long it takes for the machine to warm up and start working. Other reviews take that out. This video also lets you see what the espresso from this machine looks like.
Bottom line, is it takes about 1 minute for the machine to warm up and do its self-checks before you can start making drinks. Making each drink takes about 1 minute each.
I've only had this machine for a couple weeks now, but I really like it, and recommend it. Let me know in the comments section if you have questions, comments, or need me to show things that I missed.

I got rid of my coffee maker and my Nespresso and bought this machine. I'm very happy with it! I'm also saving money! Nespresso pods could get costly.

@@rhysholley8289 you can only make up to 6oz of cappuccino by increasing the quantity of the espresso and the milk froth. If I want a bigger cup I would just make Latte and add an extra shot of espresso.

Yes Nespresseo is double in price now, machines are very expensive, dolcegusto too getting more pricey and less coffee...I am saving up for a bean to cup philips...they are 10k in South Africa.

I have this machine. I have had it for about 18 months, works great, easy to care for, easy to clean and makes a bunch of taste drinks. It is LOUD, but hey time to wake up right? It is not slow. It only takes about 90 seconds to be ready to brew. The aquaclean filters allow you to make up to 5000 cups before having to descale the machine. The brew head only needs a warm water rinse about once a week. For the price, you can't beat this machine.

I have some questions: 1- May I know what is the best grinder level for this machine? 2- How to use the scope for using the coffee in the machine? 3- May I know for what is Caic/Clean bottom? The Coffee Experts say only use light or medium roast beans less oily beans , it will prevent grinding getting grimy and sticky. Use RO or Bottle or Distilled Water and you will mever have to descale it. None of my 5 different coffee machines have any scale and rhe lost long with RO water.

No but you can make a coffee drink and press stop before it starts the coffee.

I have had mine for 18 months. Clean the brew head/group once a week with warm water by rinsing it. I have only had to just descale the machine after 18 months. I think it is very reliable, easy to clean and care for.

Thanks for the review. Both your cups where half full. What if I prefer a full cup of coffee? Also does the machine remember the last choices for every type or do I have to remember how I made it last time?

So the 3200 does not store the settings for each drink, nor can it set up personal profiles, that said. The settings are what was last used. So if always make the same drink, just press the button (once or twice) and press start. Love my machine.

I am on the fence about buying because of how loud the frother seems. Is the anything you could compare the volume to?

The frother is as loud as frothing milk manually. If it bothers you buy the non lattego version with the steam wand or get a separate frother and save yourself $200. The regular 3200 is $599. Lattego is $799.

Um the frothing isn't the loud part, the grinding and brewing are louder. You are going to have to go to a store that sells these to see how loud it actually is.

It seems to make really small quantities of coffee. That cup is only half full and its a small cup at that.

Thanks a lot for the video! What is the combination of settings you use for the dark espresso? On our machine the grinder is on 4 (from 12), Aroma strength is on 3 (max), Drink quantity is on 1 (min), but still espresso is not as good as expected. Please share your settings.

Another demonstration review pointed out that the milk was not frothed very well...and that the milk splattered a bit when dispensing... but they also reported a poor, thin cremá as compared to other machines.. Hopefully, that can be adjusted... do you find that to be a problem? Thanks! !

They probably didn't have the lattego fully seated. I've never had that problem. It makes luscious, rich foams. It pre infuses the espresso so my crema has been great. Watch the review from Seattle coffee gear. They're espresso pros

@@marcopl17 exactly and what do they want from a fully automatic $800 machine? You want perfection? Drop $5000 on another machine that is a pain to clean and breaks!!! Mine has not broken or given me any trouble in 18 months and I have latte every morning with 2 extra espresso shots. Love this machine.

Thanks for this review. I just got this machine, and I love it. Do you know if there's a way to set it to make a double latte? I've been making a latte and then making a shot of espresso. Works fine, but you'd almost think there's be a way to press one button for that!

I don't think that there is. I just run it twice for that, or sometimes I'll make the max size single latte, and then add a shot or two of espresso to that.

@@jjsto7 I like it a lot, especially during the pandemic when I was rarely going anywhere, let alone for coffee. If you live in a small place with light sleepers, it will probably wake them up until they get used to it. My husband has been known to sleep through the smoke alarm that is right outside the bedroom door. The coffee grinder doesn't bother him.

@@jjsto7 Yes it is loud. I banned my own mother from running the machine before 6AM because holy cow it is loud. But it makes great coffee and is much better than filling up the land fills with plastic pods.

Compared to actually making a cappuccino by hand with a manual machine this is not time consuming at all...Grinding and filling a portafilter and tamping it correctly alone takes about as much time as the entre brew process of this machine. I will say after years of practice I can make better milk and espresso than this machine with a manual set up, but I cannot do it as quickly as this machine can. For how quickly it does the work the machine does a damn fine job and produces a better drink than some of the coffee shops I have went to in my time.

When the red thing pops up it means it's time to dispose the water from the tray.

One is for disposing of water/pucks, one means it is out of water and the triangle means trouble.

It is unclear to me what happens if I don't use a filter in the tank. I already use Brita filtered water, so I don't need a second filter. It is unclear whether the machine tries to detect that and refuses to work, or whether the tank is still water tight without the filter. E.g., I currently have a tassimo machine with filter option, but if I don't put in a filter, it still works perfectly fine.

As far as I know the machine runs fine, but it will require you to descale sooner than if you used the AquaClean filter. To set up the machine you need to do the water hardness tester strip and enter that value into the machine, it also knows if you are using the AquaClean filter or not by you tell it that too.

So that depends. I used 3 AquaClean filters over about 18 months before the machine wanted me to descale. My water isn't very hard here. I think the harder the water the faster you use up the AquaClean filers. Still love my machine. Descaling is a breeze as it does the whole process for you really. I highly recommend this machine.

Can it be used without the water filter? I use reverse osmosis water in my coffee makers. No need for a carbon filter on top of that.

Oh, my. I'm so glad it isn't just me. I'm thinking for the price of the coffee maker, he should invest in a new sink because that looks like mold on it. Ugh! I stopped watching it, too, and started scrolling the comments to see if anybody else felt the same, or if I was just being "Bourgeois " as I'm oftened called. LOL!
