Here is the new thing I've been working on!
This update includes huge changes for Philly, with plenty of new locations and improved quality, as well as many quality of life update on Baltimore and Washington.

Larxian, this is absolutely legendary. You have went way beyond the call of duty here with this update, this community is so lucky to have somebody like you making these incredible, visually stunning maps that play fantastic. It truly is mind blowing what I am seeing with all these upgrades. These maps I felt already had endless replay value and now it has even more replay value than before, something that truly will last the test of time. People will be playing these maps forever. THANK YOU SO MUCH for all your hard work, I think I speak for everybody when I say how much we appreciate all your efforts with this project

Whoa! Played these for a little while and I can't believe how amazing Philly looks, and I love the attention to detail like having some pedestrians stopped looking at exhibits in the museum. Makes the whole map feel so much more alive! Can't begin to imagine how long this would've taken you to complete, excellent work dude!

Thank you! Yes this was indeed a lot, lot of work, but I'm glad you're enjoying it! The maps when played in single player now have even more pedestrians than before and vehicles too, helping it making feel a lot more alive :)

Simply masterful. Also, what would be cool is just like how THUG Pro seamlessly connects Vancouver and Slam City Jam, do you think it would be possible to connect all your maps in this way? Head to a train station, or if they're in the distance, ride to a bridge?

@@Larxia Are you able to unload parts of maps and then load others? Just combine all three, physically connect them, but only keep one loaded. Probably limits there too. Have you thought about gaps?

@@SlyCooperReloadCoded Like I said, I don't know how to do such thing, and given how close the levels are to the limits, I doubt something like that could even load / work properly. Gaps are out of the question because of how problematic they are to set up.

Yo Larxian je suis un de tes plus grands fan Français, et je voulais te demander si les 3 villes sont reliées en un niveau ? Car c'est extrêmement beau. Ou peut être juste Philly & Baltimore via le pont ? En tout cas tu es un prodige du 3D design, tes deux niveaux étendus dans Baltimore... Je n'ai jamais pris autant de plaisir sur THPSX, je les remercie en passant d'ailleurs, vous êtes les best ! Sans déconner, toutes mes félicitations pour avoir produit un travail aussi dantesque, je suis bluffé à chaque vidéos ou level qui sort, merci infiniment pour ton travail ❤️

Merci beaucoup! Ca fait plaisir cet enthousiasme :) Malheureusement non je ne peux pas connecter les niveaux entre eux, ils sont déjà tellement grand et lourd pour thug pro, qui est de base basé sur thug 2, on est au bord de la limite. J'avais d'ailleurs dépassé la limite de mémoire disponible dans thug pro avec Baltimore, et un des devs de thug pro l'a doublé, ce qui m'a permis de finir le niveau sans devoir faire trop de concession. C'est quelque chose que je ferais directement si il n'y avait pas autant de limite, mais là à chaque ajout j'ai l'impression que tout va déjà exploser 😅. Ce serait peut-être possible si on enlevait les lightmaps, mais dans ce cas là ce serait beaucoup moins joli, et avec les map originales sans mes extensions, mais Baltimore serait beaucoup moins intéressant. Et même là je ne suis pas sûr. Merci pour le message en tout cas :)

@@Larxia ah d'accord, je vois, je me disais aussi impossible que ça tienne en UN seul level mdr. Et surtout si ça compromet les extensions de Baltimore, plus toutes les textures HD, ce serait dommage

This wasn't done with the ghtools, I actually mostly finished this update over a year ago but it was delayed for various issues related to thug pro.

@@Larxia well thats quite interesting. how did you go about getting your hands on the next gen mesh? i know theres a private tool for the next gen mesh but its rough - the ghtools is the only public one (at least that im aware of)

@@thpsgoat I did use a private tool, but like you said it was indeed quite rough. All the normals were broken and had to be fixed, many vertices error too, but most importantly, no materials nor UV maps at all, so I had to texture and up map everything from scratch, which takes a lot of time. I won't go into tons of details, but here is the first version of the trailer I made back in july 2021: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--E2imOSvYNE.html You can see that most of it was already there back then, I started this project I think in march 2021. As you can see in the second part of the trailer (41 secs), the maps were supposed to be added to thug pro, but it did not happened due to reasons out of my controls, so I now decided to release it as a custom level, like before, and spend a few more weeks polishing it and adding some more stuff like roofs etc.

@@Larxia ah yes mortens tool. I was using tbat originally as well but the ghtools is in a much better state. Either way, looks great and I totally understand the amount of work that goes into things like this. Much appreciated, keep killing it!

@@thpsgoat Thank you :) Yes the ghtools seems better from what I've seen, didn't mess with it myself though, but the fact that it's not supported on 2.79 blender, which is still the best version for thug pro, is quite problematic.

No sadly the game wouldn't be able to handle that, these maps are already really pushing thug pro as it is.
