Phoenix Android Tesla Update Rear Screens 

I’m not exactly sure what you’re trying to accomplish but I think you’re trying to get video in the rear of your vehicle for your 5 year old, yes? Does he really need a Tesla screen back there? Is he going to utilize all those controls? I have video in the rear of my vehicle, it plays all streaming services, thousands of apps, it’s on a holder, plugs into my usb, uses Bluetooth air pods, it’s a 9.7 inch iPad. What could be simpler for you and your 5 year old? Just a suggestion. Also I have a 12.9 inch iPad in my front dash. 2017 Chrysler 300s.

how you got the back screen to at least mirror the radio? because the unit doesnt have a tv out. and my rear screen i can only project videos from a dvd or the aux inputs.

I have a 2010 Escalade and I bought the Rhino Radios version. They will make another motherboard with video out to help retain the overhead entertainment (will need PAC GMRVD retention cable... Had one left over from my PAC unit... Roughly $25 on Amazon). The cost of the new motherboard is $50 plus $10 for shipping. Not sure why they don't have it as an option during the initial purchase. It was only through some dialougue with a tech that I was informed of this option. I haven't received the new motherboard because I told them to hold off sending it (saw a pic of the new motherboard) due to my frustration with making it fit in my dash. I will try to remove the attachment brackets and try to temporarily velcro the sides from the bracket link below. Hopefully, by attaching the sides from the mount link and reinstalling my trim pieces, it'll fit properly. I can attest that it is pretty straightforward with plug and play. Doesn't require the same number of connections as the stock radio. The time was off because it was set to China, so had to change that to the USA. Volume on my steering wheel supposedly increases the amp while the volume on the radio increases the radio (they don't work in concert with each other). Not major to me. Look beautiful, I wants to buy one but if they bring all those issues, I prefer to buy a normal android radio. I have a Chevy Tahoe 2008.

Basically for everyone looking there is MORE THAN 1 type of bose systems for our vehicles. You MUST have the Denali bose or “premium” bose for it to all direct adapt to back up camera and to also not get static through speakers

I used a in line rca volume contoler Axxess AALC Universal Dash Mount Amplifier/Amp RCA Level Bass/Gain Controller The download file they give me did not work

same issue with me. i ordered it for a qx60 . i wanted only to play the videos on the rear screen . i tried miracast , i want to try chromecast later. but stupid. i wish they made a video out or an app to send video out

I have a Dodge Durango Citadel 2014, and I added an Android head unit, and since my car has a factory rear entertainment system, I couldn't make the main Android head unit compatible with the rear headrest screens. Is there any solution to me or suggestion that you can help me solve this dilemma?

I just purchased this unit before seeing any real review, for a 2016 tahoe, the issue I had so far were with making the rear camera display image, we finally somehow got it to work, now im having some distortion when entering the car without even key in ignition or power in the car, the radio make a sound like if it was stuck between two stations in AM. Also when coming back from back up to drive The bluetooth disconnect and the AM radio get on...did you experience anything close tonthat? Thanks for your time

I was excited about this radio. Now I have mixed feelings ... Hopefully they give you some updates.. looks like it'd be a badass radio if they did... I just described to you I want to keep seeing your videos

my camera doesnt register

THE BLINKER AND DOOR CHIME ARE A FEATURE OF CHEVY GMC AND IT IS NOT THE RADIO. TURN ON OR HIT THE PHONE BUTTON ON STEERING WHEEL AND THEN HIT THE VOL DOWN ON THE STEERING WHEEL AND IT WILL TURN THE VOLUME ALL THE WAY DOWN FOR THE SPEAKER FOR THE NAV UNIT WHICH USES THE FRONT SPEAKER OF THE CAR UP IN THE DASH THAT FIXED IT FOR ME.

So it has video output?

If I remember right the grey harness hooked up right the aux will be hooked up to the aux on the back rear unit So then you can hook up dvd unit PlayStation what ever to that and have aux Mine I have aux in back going to a 4 way rca switch box so then I have more inputs like hdmi to rca to 8pin for my iPhone etc What I don’t like is the back buttons act like a master unit to control the front radio as in on off change the settings A/c works and the heating sears no IR or 3.5 jacks

I have Netflix and it does play like the video app in the radio. I think is probably the app and not the radio. Try Netflix but dont get it through the play store, just get the .apk and install it on the side. It works flawlessly for me when I have long drives.

These units I home come to find out only easily support non-bose systems, OR you must have the Denali Bose system or you will NOT be able to keep your Bose speakers if you only have the Bose in a Ltz or slt nor your back up camera! But if you have the Denali version the entire amplifier is in the center console not split between the factory nav in slt Yukon’s...the Bose amp is in the head unit and the amp inside the console is a slave unit it doesn’t produce the power

Dose the android radio still work

Look on XDA peaple over there are smart when it comes to Android and some peaple have rooted these and made custom ROMs I was looking to to buying one so I looked over there

So I just installed mine pX-6 in my 07 Chevy Avalanche.. The interface you are using is garbage! Install Nova Launcher from Google play. You can thank me later

There is 4 yellow rca out ports for the head rest monitors and only one import Ran it to the grey harness I think so the overhead monitor works Using usb drive and or buy the usb dvd they sell I took one of the 2 usb female from the radio and ran it in to the glove box. Then I can add movies that way or plug in the usb DVD player The other usb is for my carplay. Guess I need to make a vid. I have had this unit a long time have lots of hate with it like reset every other week it seams like I have a email from them on how to change the main pic to my suburban but forgot how I did it. Email from them You need a picture size in 740x313 formatted in PNG. named zxwlogo.png. Well just pulled my PX-6 unit out after a week of bullshit. It’s not any better than the 3. The factory back up camera wouldn’t even link up, and PHEONIXAUDIO is a terrible company.
