Hi Andrew, an excellent explanation of these phresal verbs. There are other definitions related to these phresal verbs aren't there? For example: to give off means to discount price Andrew, maybe, there is a problem in getting notifications of your channel. I didn't get notified of this lesson and the lesson before this one, though I've activated the bell since subscribing to your channel. I've seen the lesson coincedancely. I get notified of all RU-vid channels I subscribed to, except yours. I don't wanna miss this great channel.
@mapleleafesl6162
@mapleleafesl6162 5 лет назад
Hi Nawar Nawar, I'm not sure why you wouldn't be getting notifications. I wouldn't think it's because of anything on my end. As for 'give' phrasal verbs, I usually can't include every single one as there isn't room. I've never heard the definition 'discount' for give off although you can give someone a discount.

Yes, it's similar although the focus is usually little different (e.g. 'My engine gave out' but 'My car broke down')

Hi Sanaya, 1. We wear or put on perfume 2. We would probably say 'that person wears too much perfume' or 'that person wears a heavy amount of perfume'.
