Hi Andrew ! I'm the first to give a comment . Thanks for your helpful lesson! Here is my homework : - Last year I threw out my back in an accident, so I had to throw back a month off work. The company threw in a small sum of money to help me recover. - Don't throw away your old clothes in the trash, send them to charity! Someone may need them! - Since the day I became pregnant, I have been thrown up , so I always threw off at work.
Great sentences! In your first sentence, your use of throw back doesn't work. You would need to say, 'so I had to put off going back to work by a month'. Also in your final sentence, you need to say, ' so I was always thrown off at work'. Great job!
When it comes to phrasal verbs lessons on RU-vid Andrew is definitely the man. Thanks for that you have no idea how much my English has improved since I've subscribed to you channel
noa777noa777 Hopefully in 2020, the Year in which Savta Klara would have celebrated her 100-d anniversary, had she still lived, our beloved teacher Andrew will reach a milestone of 50000 subscribers and 30000000 views 🙏🏽🏆🍷
Hi Andrew, I always write down your lessons talking about phresal verbs and I have a diary for that. Though it is late now and I have to wake up earlly, I can't tear myself away from watching this another good lesson. When I watch your lesson and write it down, I can simply memorize it and how to use each and every word in it, and that's of course because of your unique way of explaining. ' throw up' reminds me of 'cut corner' When the company throws up a building, they cut corner aren't they?.
Dear teacher, I love your lessons and I'm very grateful for them, and also, for everything you do for us! Therefore, I will never throw away the opportunity to improve my English, through your videos (explanations). Thank you!
I think videos are quite nice, I wish they were kept at normal speed as they were recorded, I meant they had to be way faster, Coz i know this is not normal speed native speaker speaks.
Maple Leaf ESL It’s absolutely ok! Unfortunately it seems to be the last video I listen at night, since, as I told you, I commence a new work with a neat office of myself. By the way, I will be exposed to a great deal of new ppl., each of these is potentially your new subscriber. Let’s think how could we engage all this new audiences. Of course, not now, since it’s almost 4:00 a.m. here 😜
Hi andrew it is very interesting to listen .when we go through phrasal ver bs examples are very important.the writing on the board is totally invisible .could you please figure out this problem?
Hi there, and thanks for watching. If the writing is 'totally invisible' as you say, then this certainly a problem with your screen. But if you're saying it's hard to read, it's probably the lighting I used, which is always hard to get right. I will do my best in the future. Thanks.
Hello Andrew warm regards from Nepal Please help While having discussion over economic crisis and solution to overcome that problem, Peter threw in the topic of his salary increment / Peter brought up the topic of his salary increment Can throw in and bring up be used interchangeably
Not exactly, no. Threw in sounds like he was slipping it in to the conversation; like, it wasn't something on the agenda but he mentioned it anyway. Brought up is just more similar to mention.
