This is pretty cool of a big box store releasing a VHS in 2024. I would definitely pick one up if my local Walmart has one just cause I wouldn’t mind as a collector.

The Terrifier VHS was the hardest thing to track down. An employee said every Walmart gets 3 of them. Had to go to several locations before I finally got one.

I can understand getting a VHS tape as a collectible, but there is no way in heck I could ever sit down and watch a movie on vhs!! I'm sure that would look great on a 75" 4K tv!! 🙂 I have a hard enough time watching a DVD now.

I feel exactly the same. I still have my VHS or the obscure "old school" titles that never received modern home video love. But when you're watching RoboCop 2 in 4k w/ Atmos w/ an Atmos soundbar on a top-end 4k Q or OLED TV... why in the heck would I want to turn on my old tube TV and plug in my MGM RoboCop 2 VHS? It's obsolete. I get watching old 4:3 formatted TV shows on DVD on an old TV, but if there's a higher quality option available-- that's the one you go with. VHS is not Vinyl. It's not richer. Every format since VHS has been an improvement with 4K currently King.

How does it make sense that it’s a double VHS? Standard release of VHS was a single cassette. Maybe if the 2nd VHS is the special features? Towards the end of VHS, I recall deleted scenes being featured at the end of the film on the same cassette.

I did the same thing, Garret did with his Vhs collection back in 2011 when I bought my first house. I had two Panasonic vcr's/vhs players that were like new since when I bought them dvd starting taking over, so they sat in their boxes after abyesr or so, anyway I sold them for 15 dollars each and had 621 vhs tapes with some very collectable ones, which I sold for a dollar each and tge guy who bought the two Vcr's offered me 425 for all of them; sold. Now I look at some of the Vhs tapes and tgeir worth 75 dollars and some of my disney vhs taoes are selling for 200 dollars and up. I wish I waited on those, but my wife started giving me crap about hording old stuff. She is a handful, but she's 🔥 hot and has her ways on getting me to do certain things she wants.... yes, I'm a sucker and should've held on to them.....

Don't feel too bad. I bought alot of VHS in it's heyday, and the Specialty stores that carried stuff like "Watchers" or "Howling IV", usually charged $24.95 at retail. So "Terrifier 2" in the present, for a double VHS @ $30 is pretty spot on. Wal-Mart 30 years ago was around $15-20 for new releases. Bargain titles through brands like Goodtimes could be $10 or less. So it's not as outrageous as some people think.

Love that Terrifier 2 VHS my father and I still have a VHS player in the living room so I will check my local Walmart to see if they have it but the new Lionsgate Steelbooks don't look as cool as the Vestron ones but it would be cool to own a Blu-ray of Wolfcreek that's the original movie isn't it

Yup. Exactly how I felt last year as a diehard "Psycho" fan when that original Arrow set sold out so quickly. Yet there were RU-vidrs elsewhere openly saying they just bought it -- to collect it. Didn't even watch it. Then you have the EBayers that were just flipping it @ 2x or 3x the price. Incredibly frustrating.

I didn’t see the Terrifier 2 VHS, but I did get the Art the Clown figure, as well as the Chucky shirt and Killer Klowns from Outer Space keychain for my wife. Do you think they’ll maybe have another display later in the year or next year with different stuff? Would be cool if they kept bringing out new horror merch there.

I wouldn't say they are total garbage the first one is good as a party movie, Friday night with the homies drinking beer and throw on terrifier. I wasn't a big fan of part 2 as it just felt like one long extended kill scene... I dig art the Clown but damn they are pushing him hard trying to make him the next horror icon
