Thank Lucy, we have been doing a few home maintenance jobs this week. It’s been wet and windy and the roof guttering needed a repair and painting a picket fence needed doing, neither difficult jobs but certainly time consuming. I prepared meals in advance so we could get on with the work without having to buy take out or stop to cook. I enjoy these little jobs, always satisfying to keep on top of caring for the home. I did enjoy it more when I was younger though, more breaks are needed and it takes a lot longer than in the past. I hope you have someone to help you with those pesky odd jobs around your home too. Hi there M T a few of our helpful stateside viewers have suggested there us a cheap little appliance you can buy there used to make corn dogs. They say corn dog makers are as good a substitute for a sausage roll maker there is. Anything I make in a pie makers can be cooked in a sausage roll maker and visa versa. Personally I love using this one because you don’t have to cut out the pastry, just drop the ready rolled sheet in. Saves time less waste and the size is a perfect hand size especially for small hands. Wrapped in a little paper towel you have a great snack/meal and the paper towel doubles as a napkin for dabbing up any mess afterwards. You may be able to find something similar to this on Amazon, as they gain popularity, they are sure to become more easily available. If you are lucky enough to get one you definitely won’t be disappointed. That’s for the comment and for watching.;-))
@@CheekysKitchen Yeah I'm at Michelle's computer doing our backups to external drives, you know, pics, songs, docs, bought programs and cat videos lol. and your video popped up. Not sure if you have heard windows 11 is out now, if you're lucky you can upgrade to it. Unfortunately we cant, the 4k we spent on these i7 ol clunkers wont take it. In 2025 Microsoft will stop supporting windows 10, so we have a bit of time to save up. Lucky we have a huge furnace that was meant to be able to chuck in all types of crap, there was mentioned when they built it they could chuck in old computer parts and get the gold and other goodies, best thing we would get this all free too, chuck it in, melt it down and pour out the money. 5pm last night in my plant a pump died and spare had died a long time ago, we were kept on being told we are waiting for parts, well this pump, might bring the big furnace to a halt, because while you smelt stuff down there is always a solution you have to deal with, weak acid which contains all sorts of nasties, arsenic, mercury, the list goes on, but to send this acid out to sea you have to treat it, throw some sodium sulphide, removes heavy metals, lime to raise the pH and ferric chloride to remove the arsenic. My pump pumps this weak acid to be treated at our process effluent plant, so no pump, we cant hold onto too much of this weak acid. Anyway thats enough boring you with work lol, I love home made pasties and sausage rolls, meat pies....kangaroos and holden cars lol... doh, showing me age now lol.
Wow Zendukai your work sounds so intense, I have enough trouble understanding my pool chemicals lol. So now I just take a sample to the pool shop and get the “Man” to do it! I guess all production stops until the pump is repaired, what do the other guys do when there’s no work for them to do? I have an Apple computer, for me it’s expensive but pretty idiot proof which suits me fine. The people at apple are amazing if you do have a problem (which is rare) they will spend hours on it on the phone with you to fix it for free, if that doesn’t work the parts are very reasonable. I’m not a gamer so it does what I need very well and no viruses etc. Before Apple I would lose so much time waiting for expensive virus checkers to do their thing. I’ve heard Apple can get viruses but it’s very rare and I’ve never encountered a problem. We didn’t even use calculators when I finished high school in 1975 so when I got my shiny new IMac, I was feeling pretty pleased with myself when I found the power on button . It’s about as obvious as a door handle on a Tesla car lol. At present we are remodeling a bathroom, it’s a major! Last night it had its last coat of waterproofing and today we are tiling the floor.. New baths in Showers in, ceiling has been replaced, the previous owners thought a corrugated iron ceiling would be fun, 10 years and the beach sea salt air has shown that was not a very good plan. Going with a travertine like tile floor and ceiling. Floor non slip and smaller size than the huge shiny wall tiles. It’s gonna be like walking into a cave lol but without a rusty roof and the strange colour scheme. We don’t have a wood heater here, they grow bananas, sugar cane, macadamias in the area so we have a pretty good climate and reliable rainfall. I guess I’ll just have to send you my old computer to smelt down the gold lol Your cat is beautiful, we have 2 little dogs, they are our buddies. My daughter had a cat for 15 years his name was Max, he was huge, healthy and a very good boy. He liked laying the sun and never killed birds etc, in fact the bush Turkey used to steal his kibble snd he just watched it. One day the bush Turkey kicked dirt all over him and he didn’t even move. Last week 2 big dogs from up the road attacked him on his verandah and killed him. He tried to get away and ran out to the road, a lady driving past tried yo help Max she beeped her horn and tried yo drive at them, then she jumped out of her car to help and they tried to attack her. She ran back to her car and took photos of them to identify them. Another lady neighbour ran out in her nighty to help too and they took to her as well, she had to hide behind the wheelie bin. My daughter has one of those motion sensor video door bells that videoed the dogs on her front verandah hunting max. The owner denied (lied) her dogs were involved but the video doorbell snd the ladies photos and other wintnesses proved her wrong. Our whole family was shattered, poor Max fought for his life but didn’t have any fur or blood on his claws and never even had his claws extended. My 7 year old grand daughter was told Max died peacefully in his sleep in his sunny spot with a tummy full of kibble. I’m so glad she didn’t see what happened to poor Max, both ladies that tried to help were visibly shaking and distressed hours later. This is the 3rd fatal cat attack, in the area, in 10 days. The ranger gave the owner a fine and lots of restrictions but nothing will bring him back. Please keep yours and Michelle’s beautiful pet cat safe. Max felt safe where he was on his own property but these mongrels hunted him down, he never stood a chance. I love all animals and understand “ the laws of the jungle” but this was so unnecessary and distressing for everyone involved. RIP Max he was a really lovely boy.😢
@@CheekysKitchen omg, so sorry about the furbaby, if that was to happen here, we would lose the plot. Bikky is only allowed out on supervised outings, I get in trouble if I go inside too long leaving him out there too long. I'm no builder so I have to do some investigation who can build a cat run, so we can leave him outside. I'll have to get a window screen change to allow him to come and go as he pleases too. Good luck with the house, I hope it turns out better than expected!
Thank you for your question, you can freeze these but the ‘cream’ will go a bit chalky and not as nice to eat as when made fresh. Hope that helps and thanks for watching.;-))
Thank you Ron, great suggestion. These were particularly juicy strawberries. Previous punnets during testing were smaller and drier. They required less cutting so there was less surface area to release their juice. I definitely prefer smaller berries. They hold their shape better and are less messy. Luckily the excellent non stick surface simply wipes clean with a damp paper towel, whilst the appliance is still warm. Your feedback is most helpful and very much appreciated.
