You know you love a franchise when all of the mainline entries are among your favorite games. That’s basically me and this franchise.

I agree with almost everything in the video, but a lot of the pikmin 2 criticism makes little sense to me. I don't understand how removing a day limit magically removes all aspects of time management from the game, especially when you said yourself that beating pikmin 2 in 30 days would have been really easy. Saying time management is not a factor because you chose to ignore it in your playthrough does not really seem like the best point to me, especially given how forgiving the limit already was in pikmin 1. Pikmin 2 foregoes the time limit so anyone can play at the pace they find the most fun. You can play like in pikmin 1 and optimize your days to go as fast as you like, but the game will not force you to do so if that is not what you want. I also have to strongly disagree with everything you said about the white pikmin. I really do not understand the point that "white pikmin are poorly designed because they would be useless without poison immunity" when the same goes for blue pikmin, but even more so. White pikmin are not even close to being the worst type in pikmin 2, much less the series. What you said about their speedboost completely vanishing when other pikmin help them carry is also blatantly not true. they are very helpful in saving time carrying treasure and corpses, so they are a great help in the surface for their speed, and underground for their poison. Their revenge damage is really not meant to be their main attribute. I also do understand the issues you raised with bitter spray, but to me, it is SUPPOSED to be overpowered. It is designed as a get out of jail free card that struggling players can use if they feel it is absolutely necessary, but that is completely optional. Personally, I adore pikmin 2 and I completely understand why not everyone does, but I don’t think a lot of what you said about it is fair criticism.

It's hilarious to me that we have like, exact opposite thoughts and feelings. For instance, in Pikmin 4, I loved the three pikmin limit because to me, that added a level of challenge. Pikmin 2 and 4 tie for my favorite, with 3 being my least favorite. Something about it felt too easy, and all of the treasure being fruit felt boring to me. Pikmin 2 I love for expanding the treasure catalogue--one of my favorite parts of the series is just seeing all the alien names they come up with for our day to day objects. I also loved the removal of the time limit, because it stressed me out. I actually started the series by playing 1, got too stressed, then played 2 to get a hand of the mechanics, then went back to 1. (Then 3, then 4.) I totally hear all your points and see where you're coming from, and I think you've put it all together quite eloquently and fairly. It was just funny to me that on like, every point, I felt the opposite. Seriously, great job! A video well made!

Pikmin is one of my favorite game series ever I’m glad to see it get some more love and attention I hope it keeps succeeding so we can get more from this amazing series

Amazing video! I havent personally played any of the pikmin games but this has genuinely made me really want to try out the series. Your analysis of each games strengths and weaknesses was really well done and the way you constantly call back to earlier parts of the video to reinforce your points is great. Also in general this vids production quality and editing is amazing. Would love to see more content like this from you, i think this format works great with your style!

Pikmin 4 is far and away the best in the series for me personally. So much variety to never get stale. Saying this doesn't hold too much though considering every game in the series is good to great (I even like Hey Pikmin) 😂

Im so happy that we have the same exact opinions on which games are the best. It always shocked me that Pikmin fans generally rank Pikmin 2 the highest and Pikmin 3 the lowest

Pikmin 2 Babbby best game. I also share the same feelings with others in that how does removing the day limit remove all time management but the in day timer is still there. The game records the days it took you to beat it so you can try to manage your day better and beat it in less days. Many of the pikmin 2 criticisms made no sense to me but like others have said this one stuck out the most.

Hey pikmin is more like fedration force then cibi robo zip lash. As it was a spin-off that just came at the wrong time. And mot something the series was banking on like zip lash.

pikmin probably has the best track record out of most of Nintendos franchises

I kinda feel like PIKMIN 3 and 4 miss the point really it's missing a certain complexity that 1 and 2 had idk how to describe it. Those two just don't do it for me.

One Of The Only Games I Genuinely Enjoyed. I Always Loved 2D Games, Even If Im Bad At Them (This One Especially So) 3. Pikmin 4. Its Good, But The Controls Are JANKY. I Hate Auto Lock On. 2. Pikmin 1. I Hate Time Management, Enough Said. 1. Pikmin 2. I Do Not Like Losing 100 Pikmin To A Stupid Volatile Dweevil, Thats Not Fun. Im Not A Masochist.

Yeah, time limits put me off in general. It’s why I never bothered with Pikmin. Pikmin 4 is my first game in the series and I liked the exploration and puzzle elements of the game. All of the timed stuff is my least favorite part of the game. I skipped the Dandori battles that I was allowed to. I didn’t even bother with the Trials of the Sageleaf. I’m glad the night mode is its own thing and you can choose when to participate in it. I think this P4 could’ve used a NG+ mode. It is lame you don’t get certain upgrades or onions until late or post game. NG+ would fix that.

My only issue with pikmin 4 was the lack of difficulty, like, at least add difficulty options

Pikmin 2 honestly really helped my mental health, seeing a character like the purple Pikmin be super useful made me feel like I could be just as reliable despite my size.

i see the criticism of pikmin 1's original release (gamecube) being too hard and clunky a lot and it never ceases to cause me unending confusion. i refuse to play any version other than the gamecube version. i dont get it.

I feel pikmin 4 was a downgrade from 2 which is peak. Dandori battle is worse than 2 player battle. The caves are worse. Its easier. The characters are not as memorable. Pikmin 2 is better but pikmin 4 is still 2nd.

pikmin 3 aint the best one its the easy one
