The Lever Belt killer has arrived! The new creation from Pioneer and the brain child of Steve Strohm has revolutionized the way weight lifting belts will be made, worn and used. This new patent pending design allows the wearer of the belt to make 1/2" incremental changes to the sizing of the belt, thus allowing the lifter to wear the belt at the best size possible.
Pioneer belts are made in the USA by General Leathercraft. A Texas based company that is family owned and operated since the 1970's.

well made video! i just got the elite fts 13mm P3 pioneer cut belt. i am very happy with it as I came from an Inzer 10mm lever. the inzer would bruise and pinch me painfully. ive seen a lot of matt's posts on instagram, his videos on YT, and his interview on massenomics. watched both of your videos on the belt and they are very thorough, good job, nice steady speaking, clear, and organized

Mines currently being made and should ship in a couple weeks. I ended up getting a 13mm 3” pioneer cut and am so stoked to try it out.

Just ordered the treated 6.5mm leather deadlift belt 3 inch. It is single prong and for a $20 up charge I’m having them make it a pioneer cut. I already have a 4 inch 10mm suede pioneer cut belt. Exact same as yours except black on outside and red inside. Love that belt. Decided to get the 3 inch so I’m not rubbing my ribs or hips during deadlifts. Definitely great belts

I just got the 13mm Pioneer cut. Breaking time was maybe a week, like you said the quality is amazing.

nice review, i'm looking to get a new belt, i was going to get a lever belt but now that ive watched your review, im starting to wonder what i should choose. any tips?

I don’t think lever belt will die because it’s still faster to put on and off.
@lex_tdb
@lex_tdb 5 лет назад
They def had their pros for sure. The Pioneer Cut belt is really easy to get on and off as well. Maybe not as fast as a snap, but as far as a prong belt goes it has been the best one I've owned and used as far as getting on and off with ease.

How about an lever belt but with offset teeth to go into the offset holes? You still get the 1/2 inch increments

Idk, that's a question you could pose to Matt and the guys over at Pioneer.

Im pretty sure that inzer belt is going to outlast the pioneer belt
@coloradoretreats
@coloradoretreats 5 лет назад
Question? Did it help you lift more weight over the Inzer? How many pounds? This is all I care about.
@lex_tdb
@lex_tdb 5 лет назад
Well I have since PR'ed on all of my lifts since purchasing the belt. It is way more comfortable than the Inzer, which I do think helps when lifting.

I DIY’d my Stoic single prong belt and converted it into a lever belt for $45 using the PAL lever. I was also considered the pioneer fit belt for the half inch adjustments but this has it too ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rzeD8nBRoq0.html

Why did you go with a 10mm instead of 13mm? Due to how much easier it would break in?
@lex_tdb
@lex_tdb 5 лет назад
I went with the 10mm just because I really don't need something that thick. My limits as a lifter will peak before I feel I need something like a 13mm.

Awesome belt, but can’t call it a lever belt killer if you haven’t owned the SBD. People want to label the belt better because it’s cheaper and don’t wanna pony up the money for the SBD.
@minhthuphannguyen9061
@minhthuphannguyen9061 3 года назад
I own the SBD one and dont really enjoy it, a bit too thick and stiff for me, I'm gonna get the 10mm pioneer cut to try out, but the SBD has an awesome adjustable lever!

Yeah that are both the same thickness. The differences between the two are the hole placements, and the material that they are made of.

I've never used the SBD belt personally, and I haven't seen many lifters outside of the IPF team members using the SBD belt.

Why did you go with 4" instead of 3"?

fulaan1 Many people prefer a 3 inch for deadlifts or if you have a short torso.
@TenaciousRock27
@TenaciousRock27 6 лет назад
Why go with a 4" over a 3"? Just watched your older video on the other Pioneer belt that was a 3" because it was better for not digging in. Does the 4" Pioneer cut not dig in like the 4" inch?
@lex_tdb
@lex_tdb 6 лет назад
There is some slight digging, but so far it seems to be very minimal. I’ve enjoyed the belt so far. The quality of the leather, and it being one piece of leather also helps in how it feels. It has really broken in nicely, and formed to my waist really well.

@lex_tdb

What's wrong with wanting to order other belts in different colors?
@pro63100
@pro63100 5 лет назад
@@lex_tdb nothing "wrong", just demonstrates preference for at least interest in cosmetics rather than function.
@lex_tdb
@lex_tdb 5 лет назад
I have plenty of interest in function. The belt performs almost flawlessly in my eyes. The quality of the belt has continued to hold up to weekly use, and I'm confident that it will last for years to come. Now if I have the spare funds to buy one in a different color that I like, why wouldn't I? You can have both good cosmetics and good function/quality in a lifting belt. I'd assume you're not like Steve Jobs and don't wear the same style black turtle neck, and jeans everyday of the week right? I mean what's the point of having different color shirts, pants, socks, shoes, belts, watches, etc if they all just have the same functions? There's a reason why I've had only one Inzer in over 4 years, because it wasn't a belt that I would buy again. Pioneer is a different story, at least to me.

@@lex_tdb he kinda has a point...unless you're getting a smaller width belt for bench or something
