Shout out to Pioneer Powerlifting for crafting this amazing belt for me. I've had my fair share of nice weightlifting belts but the quality of this belt is among the best. It's not perfect because the belt loop could be smaller, but its a good start. I did make a mistake though, it is NOT IPF approved. Highly recommended.

Best belts in the biz! Besides being able to do pretty much any customization, the mass produced plain belts are some of the best quality to price belts out there.

Treated belts are a little softer to begin with and a little darker.

I've had the same belt all my life. It started tearing around the hole I used most so I might be using it too loose now. It's 3" on the front and 4" on the back. Should I go for the 3"?

Pioneer belts do not have a proper stitch finish on the inside of the loop when you turn the loop like Mark Bell. Pioneer belts have a very poor finish.

Personally, I would go with the Ikarus Adaptive Performance belt if you didn't mind spend the money. If not 2pood, BlitzBelts, or Bear Komplex Apex belts are all very good (I use them all for Crossfit WOD's and Oly), just pick a style and run with it!

@@AMRAP Is the Ikarus going to be stiffer than the 2pood? I want something rigid for weightlifting but with the ease of velcro

@@AMRAP I just checked out their website and see they also have an Olympic Weightlifting belt. After watching your review of the Adaptive Performance belt, I'm a tad bit confused now. Which of these two belts would be the best pick? I'm on the fence with the wear and tear of velcro over time.

@@afyaabrafi5433 Personally I'm all about the adjustability of velcro, but if youre worried about it wearing out, the full leather should be just fine. Just make sure you're at a weight that isn't gonna change much.

Hey there, have you tried a 6.5mm belt from pioneer? Not sure whether to go with the 8.5mm or 6.5mm for heavy work

8.5 is just 6.5 with some suede on one side. that suede doesn't add much support so they are basically the same.

How is this compared to the ikarus belt for weightlifting? Which one is a better "do it all type belt"? I also do heavy powerlifting as well, and my current belt has those 1" sized holes instead of the .5"s.
