Piracetam was the first in the racetam-family of nootropic compounds. It is a water-soluble ampakine nootropic. AMPA refers to one of three types of glutamate receptors in your brain.
Developed by a fellow of famous Russian physiologist Ivan Pavlov, Dr. Corneliu Giurgea first synthesized Piracetam at Belgian-based pharmaceutical company UCB Pharma in the 1964.
Piracetam potentiates the flow of, and increases the effect of acetylcholine (ACh) in the brain. And studies have shown it significantly improves learning and memory.
Piracetam increases blood flow in the brain. Better blood flow delivers more oxygen and nutrients to neurons improving cognition, memory and focus.
Piracetam is an effective analgesic (anti-pain). This analgesic effect is related to inhibition of inflammatory markers including IL-1β.
Most neurohackers report a noticeable benefit from Piracetam after about 2 weeks. Your brain needs some time to adjust to the new change in acetylcholine (ACh) levels and how it uses it.
And increased cerebral blood flow takes a while to bring up levels of oxygen and nutrients. And for your brain cells to respond to this increase in nutrients.

I've experimented with almost every available nootropic, and my good old Piracetam stands out as my preferred option. It enhances my thinking, fostering fluidity and creativity without inducing any unwanted acceleration or deceleration-a perfect match for my requirements. Perhaps it's just my personal experience. Regrettably, it's presently inaccessible in the US for reasons unclear. Despite the cost of importing it, I consider it priceless and well worth the investment.

I like your channel and information on nootropics. I'm disappointed with Cosmic Nootropic. I ordered the product mentioned and never received it. I contacted the company, they said they were going to check into it but never responded back. I'm leery about ordering from that company again. Plus the way you have to go through an outside source to order products is not the best of practices. In other words, they took my money and I never got the product.

It would help if you also advised regarding "fat soluble" supplements vs not. In other words, take with a meal or take on an empty stomach.

The very first sentence after the intro video was "Piracetam is a water-soluble ampakine nootropic in the racetam-class of compounds." I'm not sure how I could make it any clearer than that.

I suggest you test each one and find out which works best for you. I'm Adult ADD and found Noopept boosted my productivity. But not sure if that would be the same for you.

Damond, ADHD meds don't affect acetylcholine. But one of the problems with ADHD is a problem with brain cell signaling. Which is dependent on acetylcholine. That's why I include CDP-Choline and ALCAR in my ADHD stack.

HI, I tried Piracetam, phenylpiracetam and noopept. I followed the recommended dosages and load phase protocol. they all from same company also from different company. I didn;t see any difference except for Noopept. Noopept is the only one gave me some brain boost. any explanation or recommendation as I want to benefit from the Piracetam positive effects. mainly working memories and concertation. i stack them with Alpha GPC. Thank you

It means that Piracetam and Phenylpiracetam do not work for you. That's just how nootropics are. The work for some people and may not work for the person standing next to you.

Kareem, if Ashwagandha does not work for you then keep experimenting until you find something that does. It sounds like an anxiety problem. And that is usually a issue with excess cortisol produced by your adrenals. Try L-Theanine and Phosphatidylserine which both boost cognition but also help reduce cortisol.
