Just to give justification to Achara, the "loved ones dying" one does happen because in the books that's what Ron's mother saw when she saw a boggart, they turned into her dead family members

Same, although I could picture McGonagall telling her it was ONLY for classes and being a stickler for rules Hermione does so. Because if they had a way to track the usage then someone would know they used it around when Sirius Black escaped.

Another reason I think is because it's easier to get caught that way? She probably didn't have a place to hide and sleep, but if she's two places at once no one will notice so it's ok only for classes.

Aww this takes me back. This was the first of the two Potter films that I worked on. Helping to create creature in the creature shop. Walking around the sets was wonderful. So beautifully made with massive attention to detail. Oh and to add It was weird that they shot part of the night bus sequence down my local high street. Tons of kids turned out to watch too. Happy days. :)

@@prathapkutty7407 He was wonderful. I remember him riding around on his bike to get to dept head meetings. He was great with the crew and they loved him. Sadly the Studio exc didn't for some weird reason, which is probably why he never did another Potter movie again.

The freeze frame at the end. Throughout the film, you can see, whenever the dimentors attacked harry, they were trying to suck up his happiness and the visual effect that was used in these scenes are the same in the final freeze frame scene where harry is not sad, he is finally happy.

The time-turner machine was lent to Hermione by teachers (which they also lent from the Ministry) for her to attend various classes only (not for other purposes). After that year, the time machine went back to Ministry, and later, all the time machines got destroyed during the Order of the Phoenix book.

Although Jaby, JK already made another powerful magical item vanish at the end of a movie. The sorcerers stone, which could grant immortality was destroyed and never seen again. So the time necklace was just her doing it again. It won't be the last time it's done either

@@ethanlivemere1162 Also the PS was unique, only Flamel knew how to make it. The Time Turner is a Ministry regulated item. Which is apparently loaned out to students. I kind of wish they found a file on Hermione down in the Department of Mysteries, like the Unspeakables (researchers) had their eye on her for recruitment later on. Like they keep an eye out for up and coming muggleborns. Something to lampshade it.

I like that now when you pause the video, you rewind a couple of seconds (Before, if you paused in the middle of, let's say, a joke and kept going afterwards, the joke got lost because you didn't hear it in one piece). Now it's way better and more fun to watch. Thank you!

In the books, the time turners were strictly controlled by the ministry and then all got destroyed during the battle in the department of mysteries (5th book), they're not just ignored again without explanation. I can't remember if they ever addressed it in the film, though... And yes, there is a time limit which I believe is a couple of hours, maybe a day? (I can't quite remember) Edit: Apparently they never said there was a time travel limit, I mixed things up

And I haven't read it, no. But I know a bit about what happens in it... I thought they used an advance time turner or a different one at least? And didn't the Cursed Child completely changed the theory behind time travel compared to the original series? In the PoA, they were in a paradox type of time travel (the events happened that way because they went to the past so they were always going to go back in time because it already happened). In the Cursed Child, they completely rewrote the past and erased events and people from the future, right? So how does that work?

Though she did tell me roughly what happened in it and I think she told me it was a new type of time turner but I'm a bit fuzzy on it... I just remember thinking that Harry seemed like a huge jerk in it (or maybe she was biased and it coloured my perception of him? Honestly, I can't really judge since I didn't reat it) and Cedric became evil or something (?) and everything was a mess with how they interfered with the past

@@TheGribouille09 What Hermione said was that things have gone horribly wrong when people interact with their past selves (like they were attacked by their past versions suspecting impersonation or the past selves thinking they were crazy). However things CAN go horribly wrong the farther you go back in time if you look at the Cursed Child Time travel logic (which I agree completely differs from the theory in the OG series and I really hate it for that) as even the smallest disruption can lead to cascade of change in history of events. Now about the time-turner. The time-turner they used in CC (Draco's) was a normal time-turner just like the one Hermione had which the Ministry gave her. A normal time-turner can take you as much back in time as you want. However just like everything in the Wizarding World (Sneakoscopes, Foe-Glasses etc.), crappy bootleg versions of time-turners exist which can take you back maybe a few hours in time. The Ministry confiscated one such T-T from Theodore Nott who was a Voldemort supporter. So I think you might have gotten the impression that the normal one was an advanced one when compared to the one confiscated whereas, in reality the one confiscated was a bootleg version.

The bogart actually would show your relatives as deceased if thats what you feared most. Doesnt necessarily have to be in the form of a living person or thing. Its just whatever you fear. It could even be a fear of simply failing all of your exams. The bogart shows whatever it thinks you would fear the most, or at the very least, whatever fear is at the foremost of your brain.

What would i see, worst fear? Me, hunched over and crippled like a hag...feeling pain constantly. But I have constant backpain, so my fear is real but seeing that I'm older and it's only gotten worse, not better...that terrifies me. Even though I was told I'll have this problem the rest of my life I stupidly cling to 'maybe.'

Yes, The Time Turners are a messy thing to add, but JKR "fixes" this in the 5th book. During the battle at the Ministry, Harry and the other members of Dumbledore's Army destroy the entire stock of Time Turners when fighting the Death Eaters.

Time turner was actually implied several times in the book before they revealed it. Mostly Hermione just kinda appearing in class or ron asking her how shes taking two subjects at once but still it was there you just dont notice it the first read

The reason they keep sending Harry back to the Dursleys because the protection his mother gave him is still active there. So voldermort can't attack him till he is 17. This comes back in the 7th book when they vacate Harry on his birthday.

about the ending freeze frame, i thought it was a call back to the dementors. like when the dementors were sucking out harry's soul it was from the front of his face and he had a pained expression and everything was dark. but in the freeze frame the "hazyness' (idk how to describe it) is behind his head and he has a brightly lit facial expression, he's enjoying himself and the background is bright. i always just assumed it was an artistic choice on the director's part. p.s. prisoner of azkaban is my favorite movie as well out of all of them, i just dont like how with every movie they turned ron into a gimmick and [especially in this movie] gave too much spotlight or "hero moments" to hermione. like dont get me wrong i LOVE her but i like her book version more where she's nerdy and awkward and a bit annoying at times. here they literally gave her so many of ron AND harry's line's from the books... just an opinion :)

I will defend the use of time-travel in Prisoner of Azkaban because it follows the rules of Predestination, where nothing can truly be changed, and it already happened. So it gets a pass in my book. Until that horrible Cursed Child came out and retconned that, but no one considers that canon (not even on certain official Harry Potter sites from what I hear).

About the time turner, it always felt to me like you can't actually change the timeline with it anyway. In the book, didn't Harry witness his patronus, thinking it was his dad or something, and then when he came back in time he realized it was actually his own patronus he saw? Which means the timeline he was at before and the timeline he's in after using the magical time machine, they are one and the same! Harry's time-travel, he already saw. Same thing with Hermione; if you were to check the Map you'd probably see 3 Hermiones simultaneously, from using the time turner. So really that thing is not so much useful for changing time, but rather to multiply yourself, be at multiple places simultaneously, maybe learn something different from that new perspective. Still useful, sure, but no "changing the timeline" there!

Personally I wouldn't have minded if he came back since he did such a great job with this one. I think Guillermo del Toro would be perfect since he has experience in the fantasy genre.
