I went to the Atari World Nationals in Chicago in 1981 to compete with the world's best at Centipede. They knew that many of us could play games like it for hours, so they changed the rules from high score period to highest score in 3 minutes. Really changed the technique required. Still was a lot of fun. Edit: THANKS for all the likes! God bless.

It's because people rely on scumbag content creators such as CinemaSins to do the thinking for them rather than using their eyes and ears to decide if they like it or not. People seem to be obsessed with the idea that somebody on the internet with a microphone is a good source of information about a movie. It's a good thing that RU-vid has an option to not recommend someone's channel. These aren't reviews, it's laziness.

As someone who is very critical of movies, I'd say people gave the movie a bad rating cause it some of hottest garbage ever put on screen. The movie needed to take itself more seriously considering the stakes involved the world ending. I liked the movie the first time I saw it cause I was younger but when I went back an re-watched it more recently I found it to be incredibly boring and far to silly to the point that it's more silly than Thor Love and Thunder. The plot was interesting but it was executed poorly along side the mediocre acting. The movie deserves the hate if you ask me.

I absolutely love this movie! I don’t understand why it gets so much hate? I think people tend to forget that most movies actually don’t need to take themselves seriously, especially when the movie isn’t at its core an action movie but a comedy. Pixels has the alien invasion trope, true, but just because the movie uses action tropes, doesn’t mean it’s an action movie. Take The Watch for example! It had the alien invasion trope, but it was at its crux a comedy movie instead of being an action movie!
