Captain Keyes will always be one amazing character. He only had one goal, to stop the Covenant. No stupid side plot where he's corrupt or anything, just a pure badass leader. And poor Echo 419, she's with you threw the whole game as your transport and evac and she was so close to escaping Halo with you.

i don't know, the line she gives when you're in the truth and reconciliation always kinda bugged me. she says shes been engaged by covenant air patrols and is having a tough time shaking them, but the tone of voice says she has her feet up on the dashboard and is doing her nails and can't be bothered with your shit.

The cuts cenes look good in remastered, but I think the sounds and music that replace the originals in the game play don't stand up to the originals.

JS300 I actually enjoy some of the new music (some more than the Originals). Blow Me Away is a great song, don’t get me wrong. But I’ve heard it so many times that it gets repetitive. I’m a sucker for Djent, so Breaking The Covenant was a pretty cool change of pace. Follow In Flight was honestly just better than the 2004 version in every way imo.

That overlapping music is the idea of Martin O'Donnell, that way he can transition the mood of the game, It was intentional and you noticed it in the final cutscene because as a player you are only seeing and not controlling, so your focus shifts on other things happening. When 343 took over, eventually Martin was fired and that technique was also dumped.

@@zayhansdah 1. it was not intentional, its a glitch only present in the MCC version, not the original version. 2. Martin was not fired by 343, he left with bungie to go work on destiny. Bungie eventually fired him.

As much as I know, Martin added the music in layers, so that there will be a smooth transition in music. So the music fades out while the next one fades in. In fact I did see that on the screen when he was composing it, in few of the BTS videos.

This game got Xbox’s foot in the door, Halo 2 made Xbox a Juggernaut that could rival the PS2, and Halo 3 cemented the series as an icon. This is a truly magical trilogy that only continues to go up in quality. Every shortcoming is made up for in the sequel and ends in such a satisfying way. There are people who have issues with Halo 2, but I feel like it’s because they didn’t want Halo 2 to end.

And then Microsoft pimped out bungie to the point of making them leave the series, this is why you should never buse your golden goose. Hellish development for halo 2 due to Microsoft, halo wars being made without bungies permission, halo 3 forcing bungie to try monetize as much of the game as possible to a point it ruined matchmaking playlists. Honestly it's amazing bungie put out such class whilst under such pressure

So there was a fun easter egg in the first mission on Anniversary Graphics. In the room overlooking the pod bay, there is a screen showinb the readout of Master Chief's cryo pod... and next to it a display for a Cryo Pod with a 2ed Spartan in it, Linda, whose vital signs are in the red. The reason for this is during the battle of Reach, Linda was mortally wounded and technically died, but Chief managed to get her body to a cryp pod within moments of her "death". Her pod was later ejected before the Pillar of Autumn crashed. After Halo CE, Chief recovers her pod and later she is able to receive medical attention to be recessitated. Along with Linda, three other Spartan IIs besides Master Chief survived Reach as well, those being Fred, Kelly, and Will. You'd recognize Fred and Kelly, as they were both in one of the Legends short you watched as well as the Fall of Reach animation. Fred, Kelly, and Linda are part of Blue Team, which was/is the Spartan Team that Master Chief leads

I was in college when first played halo in 2001, it's the game that got me back to video games which I still play today, Because of that It's always going to be one of my favorite games ever. It was 20 years ago but I remember it like it was yesterday, everyone was playing Halo those days and the hype for halo 2 amazing and I was a Nintendo Fan, that game made me realize that you need to enjoy and play games from all platforms. Thanks for remembering me what's important in games and for the nostalgic ride.

It's been awesome watching your reaction, or just overall first impression going through the whole game. Halo 2 is next and I can't wait to see your reactions on a certain cutscene. And it's MUCH MORE horrifying with the anniversary graphics of Halo 2. And I'm sure a good amount of people know what cutscene I'm talking about. Keep up the good work! And pretty much welcome to the fanbase of Halo. Also, first time around, the warthog was never easy to drive. And it still isn't because it's slidey. Like the entire sections where you drive the warthog is made out of ice. Thankfully they fixed that in the sequels. Cause, God, warthog driving was rough and it still is no matter how many times I played through Halo 1. So don't feel bad, bud. It's not you. It's just the ice skating warthog.

I actually really loved Halo 4, and while I agree Halo 5 wasn't the best. I do feel it's worth a play just to not be lost when Halo infinite comes out.

Halo's ability to seamlessly incorporate the horror aspect of the flood into the otherwise streamline sandbox shooter was just one of the plethora of reasons we all fell in love with it. Also having finished the campaign you gotta watch some of the Legendary speedrun WR vids, theyre honestly so impressive to witness

The overlapping BGM at the end cutscene is a glitch in game which happens usually in speed runs, because it was designed to end at a certain moment or action, and if said moment or action is skipped the BGM will continue to play throughout the remainder of the level.

love these videos. halo is one of the best franchise game ever. glad you got to play it as the old graphic. your gonna love all the other halos. much respect.

The sound effects at the start had me cracking up so much! 9:24 was so funny! Also, I am so happy you played with the original graphics. The remaster just...changes wayyyy too much about basic designs that it doesn't even have the same spirit of the original game.

When you think you'll make it, you don't... 😂😂 Also Halo: best horror game since 2001😂👌 I can't wait to see you play the rest buddy!! 😁 Note to Bee Gee Geek: when playing HALO 2, use the old graphics on the Mission: Arbiter and the Mission: Gravemind... there are some great music parts in those missions that boost your spirit (atleast it did to me) and lack in the remasterd edition.

I may be late to this youtube party, but loved the playthrough nonetheless. I was in my mid-20's when Halo came out. I just got made redundant and a friend invited me over to play it on his giant projector tv and surround sound to cheer me up. We got blazed and played through the first two levels and I was utterly blown away. Next day, I took my redundancy money, bought an XBOX with Halo and spent the next week not looking for another job. It was great to see it can mesmerise even after 20 years...
