Explorers of the sky DX would be some serious divine Shit. Youngs childs would meet Grovyle and Dusknoir, see the planet paralysis in HD with 3D, and best stuff ever, play the special episode 5.
Storyline wise...explorers of sky is a damn tear-tsunami jerker...the rescue team is ofcourse sad story but the character comes back after saving the world and that's it...but the explorers series has what I call the BEST POSTGAME ever
Let's be honest with ourselves here if they're remaking this game they definitely plan on remaking the explores series. It was the most selling Pokemon spinoff game after all
If we get later on Explorers: DX let's be honest we're all going to have the "waterworks" flowing due to all the feels that will be happening if you beaten Explorers of Sky then you know what I'm talking about.

The fact that Mega Evolution wasn't even a thing until Gen VI and yet the most-renowned team in the game all can do it is either a very impressive coincidence or someone remembered this game when planning Megas, and I'm honestly not sure which is more likely...
As a huge Mystery Dungeon fan (Blue Rescue team was my very first PKMN game, and so I have the unpopular opinion that spinoffs are better than the main series for PKMN), I was ecstatic to see that this game was coming out. Wait a minute, hold the phone. Shiny PKMN? RECRUITABLE SHINY POKEMON? IN A MYSTERY DUNGEON GAME? Oh boy, this is going to be AMAZING. I'm about 1000x more likely to shiny hunt in MD vs the main series lol

Return to classic controls and battle system. The L button system in SMD was torture with my broken L button. I had to finish the game using only items. And the fixed regular attack damage was stupid. I remember how that simple attack would be the most useful thing when I had no items( whether I was challenging myself or wasn't prepared)
As much as I love Blue/Red Rescue, that theory about the sprites for Grovyle and S!Celebi almost gave me an aneurysm. A PMD Sky remake would make my life complete.
I wouldn't have raised an eyebrow if it was just a regular Celebi since that's one of the bosses in PMD1, but sprites for a shiny Celebi screams Explorer's series for me.

While we're on the topic of shiny Pokemon, there seems to be an item called the Friend Ribbon that increases the chances of recruiting Pokemon you've defeated. It says in the item description, translated from Japanese, "Furthermore, there's a rumor that Pokemon of a rare color will want to join your team!" Obviously, by "rare color," they mean shinies.
9:24 yes yes yes!!!! I hope we have an option to return to Sprite art style. The 3d art style only made the cut scenes goods, but I feel like nothing still beats the old Sprite animations
It would be pretty cool to go back to the old sprite art style. If they did though, they would have to make new sprites for Pokémon Gen 5 onwards, Shiny Pokemon and Mega Evolution, which would be pretty cool honestly.

I just love the fact that we finally have a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game on the Switch. It's such a relief since I wasn't sure if the series was going to make the jump.
Oh man, Twintendo's Mystery Dungeon videos are back T_T It's been 5 years... By the way it looks like there are just the gen 4 evolutions of old Pokémon, plus Riolu/Lucario and Sylveon. But in the code there are all the Alola forms so... uh... And if you look at the portraits ripped from the demo only like 30 species are shiny. Now I can't wait for news in the next Nintendo Direct!
In disappointed that the demo ends before my steel vs after fighting the boss at mt steel feels like being blue balled but then again I wish you could still explore dungeons and just prevent you from going there
I remember I got my DS from my dad when I was 7 which was pretty much my introduction to gaming. I wanted pokemon pearl but he got me red rescue team. It became probably my favorite videogame I ever played
Also Motor Drive is in the abilities list, so is almost sure that Electivire is in (the other ones who have that ability are blitzle, zebstrika and emolga which I don't think will be)
I don't know if it was mentioned in the comments yet but at around 5:53 you mention you can admire the illustrations You can do this in the original games by holding the L button on the rescue team and explorer's menu screens
Though is it the Rescue-style recruiting, where you had to make it through the dungeon with the new teammate before it was valid, or the Explorers-style recruiting, where you got to keep them even if they fainted or you sent them home...?
@@thelegacyofgaming2928 I tried that a few times. Instead of sending them to their respective Friend Area, the game counted it as a defeat and un-recruited them.
I'm extremely looking forward to this game! The one thing that really bothered me was that enemies and items were always permanently visible on the map, but since the Scanner Orb exists that might just be a demo only kind of thing. We'll see
I have to say it kind of sucks that they got rid of the whole "regular" attack but at least they have plenty of Max Ethers in the dungeons! As for Makuhita's Dojo, I hope tickets aren't too difficult to get in the full game.

I am super hyped for this game... Something I am super curious about is the additions of more boss tiles on the main menu... I think there were 8 back in the original games... And the remake has 18... This could be nothing and just an aesthetic change... But I am still curious about it I look forward to buying this game, I was shocked when I heard the announcement of it more so after assuming a conversation on a discord server I am in was just a what-if conversation when it was reality
Kelly Sellers basically it all depends on what Pokémon it is, for example Mudkip will always have a red scarf while Eevee will always have green. There may be a way to change it when the game is fully released (maybe some sort of dye shop) but until then each Pokemon is set to a certain scarf color. Blue Scarf: Charmander, cyndaquill, psyduck, treeko Green Scarf: Pikachu, Eevee, Torchic, Totodile Red Scarf: Meowth, Mudkip, Skitty, Squirtle Yellow Scarf: Bulbasaur, chikorita, cubone, machop Hope this helps :)

I remember getting red rescue team on my 10th birthday, I still have it and it still works but I could never bring myself to delete my original file to replay it! Looking forward to picking this up and experiencing it again 💕
4:40 I believe they will just add the final evolutions of the pokemon that were in the first game. So to say, Togetic get to become Togekiss. I believe other pokemon like Magneton and Dusclops will also get their final evolution.
You can choose your partner's gender in the original cause I went with in the original my character being a male Pikachu, and my partner being a female Chikorita.

The no IQ system hurts. I missed raising IQ because you'd get the options like the ability to walk on water and lava, or even through walls themselves.
I think those abilities may come into play as Rare Qualities as the description of Rare Qualities is special abilities that grant a passive buff or a new skill.
I wonder if recruiting shinies will be guaranteed to not make it too painful, they'll probably be rare af anyways. Or maybe they made a new dungeon where only or mostly shinies live.
i hope we get alil more in the story, like a Lucario thing, it always bothered me in the originals how in the end Alakazam mentions Lucario and how great it is but never get to see it or anything about it
As a kid I don't think I understood the mechanics very well in Blue Rescue Team. So I never got past Zapdos. Now I am older and wiser and can probably beat the game with this remake.
I actually do not think that the living zones will be like just a printed background; i believe it will be like the loading screen of each of them, or maybe the buying affiche! I actually hope we will still be able to walk inside them, not only see pokemons with a sort of screen behind them
I do hope they make a new Mystery Dungeon with all the Generation pokempn (1-8). But this one will definitely make me busy till that kind of game ever happen.
It'd be awesome if the reason they had the sprites from the Explorer series was DLC. Like add the those games as a DLC addition to the base game and switch between save files and what not.
What I need to know is: Since this is a remake, will we have to consume food again? When I tried out "Explorers of Time", I kept starving, and it basically frustrated me off the series. Which is a pity, because the game was great otherwise.
in the data mine for the portraits there is actually more pokemon from gen 4 than just those three. in fact there is actually a good bit like frostlass,mamoswine,gallade, oh and glaceon and leafeon
i just started playing my old copy of Blue rescue team because i never finished the post game content and got all the boss icons, so im doing that now. i wont be picking up this version but im glad they didn't forget about the series. tbh i have WAY more fun with mystery dungeon games than i do with the main series.

What I really like is how you can swap between team members being the leader freely now mid dungeon. Or is that a returning feature? The last installment I played was time and darkness though I’m super excited for this remake (the ones in between I just never had time to play)

It is the only mystery dungeon i ever played and I plan to play it again^^. But I'm kinda sad the IQ system is changed, I loved maxing it out and just walk through walls like it was nothing.
On the save file of dx there are 18 hidden pokemon portraits marked with a ?. the original only had 12. unless they made most of the bosses part of those new ones it could indicate more dungeons/content.
The one thing I want to know, is if the starter evolutions will have proper sleeping animations. It's been a thing in PMD from the start that the sleeping animations would break if you ever evolved yourself or your partner and it's one thing that's always bothered me about these games and made me not want to evolve my starters x_x
Really? I don't remember that... Granted, I never permanently evolved myself or my partner, but I liked to swap leaders a lot, and they always had sleep animations. Or do you mean the 'dream' sleep animations, where you slept in a different position than usual?
@@PhoenyxRysing I mean when you and your partner go to sleep at night after you've completed your mission for the day. The base evolutions of the starters have sleeping sprites/animations for sleeping in their beds, but when you evolve them, they just walk in place in the Red/Blue & Explorers games or stand still in the 3DS titles.
Would be kinda cool (maybe) if you could go online after the real storymode and like in dynamax battle 2 other players could join you or atleast have more bag space cause it could really be almost impossible to get to some bosses

Personally I've already played the demo and my choices were Torchic and Eevee. I would hazard a guess that if you want to get Sylveon in the fast approaching HD Remaster of the two oldest Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games all you have to do is Level up Eevee and complete quest after quest until the evolution sequence happens as well as ignore any PMD equivalents to Evolution stones.
Hello, Twintendo, I have a question. If you picked Eevee as your player pokemon, and you had a water type partner, can you evolve Eevee into a Vaporeon? I want to have a duo of water types.
I’ll be checking these videos to figure out if I will get this remake or not. There has to be enough new content for me or I will just boot up my game boy instead for extra nostalgia and savings.
My thoughts are that the available post-gen 3 Pokémon are that they are probably limited to evolutions to old pokemon and the legendary explorer Lucario
I'm gonna hazard a guess that the post-Gen 3 Pokemon they'll be adding will largely be evolutions added since that Gen. So I'm expecting... -Budew and Roserade -Ambipom -Mismagius -Honchkrow -Chingling -Bonsly -Mime Jr -Happiny -Munchlax -Mantyke -Weavile -Magnezone -Lickilicky -Rhyperior -Tangrowth -Electivire -Magmortar -Togekiss -Yanmega -Leafeon, Glaceon and Sylveon -Gliscor -Mamoswine -Porygon Z -Gallade -Probopass -Dusknoir -Froslass And anyone beyond that will be a pleasant surprise, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Lucario doesn't surprise me considering there was a rank for it, so we may also get Riolu.
I actually Friend Area is the feature that I don't like about Rescue Team. It sure looks gorgeous and nice to see the Pokemon mingling around and do their own thing in Friend Areas, but in terms of game mechanic, it's a PAIN to buy Friend Areas everytime I want to recruit someone. Take example like Trapinch, I want to recruit one when the first I saw one in Silent Chasm but its Friend Area is not available from the start. That's a bummer. One other thing is that I'm not a completionist so I won't recruit anyone, so seeing a lone Zubat inhabit Echo Cave all by itself feels so... empty. And a waste of Friend Area because nobody else I like who live there. So yeah, Friend Area is my least favorite feature
If I have one complaint about this game, it's that enemies and items are shown on the map, no matter where they are in relation to your team, and there's no option to turn it off without turning the map off completely. Still, for me at least, it's more a nitpick than a real problem. I'm still gonna enjoy myself. And if there are Gen 7 Pokemon in the game, please for the love God let Rockruff be one of them!
@QeaceTheImmortal Really? Well, as I said, it's not huge deal either way. I mean, I am the guy who plays the lowest difficulty on a game the first time through. Unless it's Phoenix mode in Fire Emblem, that was too easy even me.
I'm inclined to think the game will only contain the 386 from the originals plus any new evolutions of these that were added since. Lucario is an odd one, but I think they probably only added it because it was so heavily referenced in the originals. I'm expecting it to be the only addition beyond evolutions. Which, personally, is a good thing - recruiting all 386 was a huge task already and I don't see the need for adding more, unless they've made it significantly easier to do so. I'm also hoping they add a mechanic similar to SMD in which you can only recruit each Pokemon once - due to the friend area size limits it was always a pain when you filled them without noticing you had duplicates, and then missed out on recruiting the ones you were missing.
