Listening to you guys talk about Pokemon Works, I wonder if in the future they are the B team. And maybe current A and B team combine to tackle new mainline generation games with a much bigger force, especially if they want to compete with the demanding expectations of video games in today’s market.

Pokémon Crystal, Emerald, and Platinum deserve sprite-based anime graphical remakes with extra fun features. Maybe Inti Creates, Arika, M2, and Code Mystics can make them. ArtePiazza and ILCA captured the anime character designs pretty well.

On the other hand, people are saying pokemon asked illca to make this remake. It could of went the other way asking pokemon if they can make a full game in stead of just a app, if you will

Also Johto with z-moves actually sounds really cool. I could see the starters at least getting their own z move crystals

I actually didn't know about Pokémon Works before today. Been so busy 😂 I am on copium, but with PW at ILCA building and ILCA and Game Freak handling the two versions of Pokémon Home, I would be so down for them to be able to help smooth out Home and pack in more features, I think it's time To add to the discussion about Works' relationship with Game Freak, I don't know if you guys saw but Game Freak is trying to make a new non-Pokémon IP called Project Bloom. Part of me wonders if the Game Freak staff that is going to focus on Pokémon is slowly going to phase over to Pokémon Works so that Game Freak themselves detach from Pokémon in the developing sense and do other projects whereas Pokémon Works is to be built up to work with existing and future ILCA and Game Freak staff to be the focal team for Pokémon games That last part is heavy speculation on my part but I think years from now it's possible

When I think about TPC's plan for new upcoming games, based on fan's discussion online for the past few years... I believe TPC are listening to the fans, but also are about 3-years behind. 3-years ago, EVERY PokeTuber was talking about returning to Kalos after SV released. Even though we were discussing Kalos as DLC, GameFreak chose to re-adapt the online engagement on the topic of Kalos towards developing Legends Z-A. This past year, EVERY PokeTuber was talking about returning to Unova and/or Johto after the DLC released. Even though we were discussing Unova/Johto as remakes/Legends, GameFreak will likely re-adapt the online engagement on the topic of Unova/Johto towards whatever game/s that Pokemon Works will develop 3-years from now (presumably after Gen 10). So that's what I believe Pokemon Works is for, to tap-into the hot-topic online buzz of fans and adapt them into games somehow, with a bit of a delay (average 3yrs) but still exciting nonetheless, just like Legends Z-A is to us now even after discussing "Kalos DLC" 3-years ago lol.

I can tell Soul cut his hair and it looks dope, but Lumi and Dusty’s hair looks different too😂. Also when I think of Pokemon Works, it kinda gives me the impression that any company that has worked on a Pokemon game in the past could potentially be brought up under this new company. My immediate pick (and what I hope for) is Spike Chunsoft. I think having a team made up of devs who’s worked on Pokemon games in the past sounds really exciting, but I could be wrong and this may just be ILCA and Game Freak. But as I said this literally could be anyone, even the devs who made Conquest or Pinball. Edit: This also could be a team that works on porting older Pokemon games as well for the Switch and the Switch’s successor. Just my thoughts 😅

The perfect remake would be similar if not the same story, the let’s go Pikachu and Eevee ART STYLE, whatever new types that have been added, and whatever new evolutions that have been added

What are you your thoughts on the future of remakes in general because what I feel like is that Gamefreak themselves are tired of the same old formula.

BDSP were actually the first games since Crystal not to introduce any new Pokémon or forms! It's a shame they didn't patch Origin Dialga and Palkia into BDSP after Legends: Arceus came out.

I would like to see an episode where you guys talk about the artists and other talent Pokemon, Game Freak, and Creatures Inc. have employed. Pokemon has gotten all sorts of amazing artists and animators spanning different games and anime and there's very few people who highlight this.

33:47 Interesting to note that Nintendo and Bandai also have collaborative studios in the form of Studio 2 & Studio S. Considering Bandai's involvement with the Pokemon Company already with Pokken and New Pokemon Snap. I can see the possibility that they could also be brought in as a support team to streamline development. Nintendo already has internal teams that are purely dedicated to outsourcing developers to external teams in the form of Nintendo EPD Groups 1, 2, and 6. With EPD Group 1 actually supporting GameFreak.

I'm convinced Little Town Hero is a key thinking point for ZA... A lotta parallels based on what we know so far, and a lot of gameplay mechanics that feel like a next step in the pokemon gameplay evolution. That game flopped, but it was also incredible, the monsters were so cool, and it just oozed with possibility.

I agree with Soul. I see the Pokémon works news as GameFreak adding a 3rd Dev team. Could end up being like call of duty how you have 1 team infinity ward (makers of MW2) Sledge hammer (makers of MW3) and Treyarch ( makers of black ops) and all 3 are under Activison. If Pokémon company end up doing this Team A, Team B and Pokémon works Devs can be giving 3 years cycles for there games.

I think you guys are spot on with the Gen 5 discussion. It looks like I BW pokemon works game has been in the makes and they are gearing up to release it. Would love to hear more about the topic/stay in the loop for BW games on the pod.

Actually the movie “Solo” was the first financial flop, stars wars been dead for many for a while now.

I wonder if Nintendo or who ever it is that taking down people rom games and emulator kind feel like they could throw us a pokemon rpg maker but for the original games and eventually reless new ports so like game boy first then next year advance then ds and so own so they have something for every one and people can try other games cool idea they don't have to pay people and it won't rune the new pokemon games and they can have a better control over older pokemon games and emulator and now nobody has to go to court 😊

Maybe that's were pokemon woks come in. Pokemon saw the positive that illca is doing and the negative. And they saw the positive outweigh the negative so they decided to invest in a joint business with them.

44:25 Dusty, Are you insane?! The reason Marvel has more flops is because they’ve released more movies. Star Wars released three movies, and each one made less money than the last. The viewing numbers for their tv shows are as low as Boba Fett was in the Sarlacc pit. There are RU-vid channels with more viewers than Star Wars and Marvel shows lol. I’ll stick with Mandalorian seasons 1 & 2 though. That’s high quality television. 👌🏻
