this is false information, you can only receive the shiny costume if you've never received the costume the typo is in the French version of the guide book that says you need the regular costume first in order to get the shiny costumes you can only own one costume, so if you battle a shiny costume and win but have the regular you can not get the shiny costume and vice versa again I can't stress how wrong you are you can not get the shiny costume if you have the regular one if you think I'm wrong watch AbsolBlogsPokemon's video as he hunted it

Although it may be heresy to say this, but it IS my favorite Generation 4 Pokemon game, yes above even Platinum, EOS, or the Ranger games (but again, opinions) but again, that's probably because i'm a freak for Gen 4's battle system.

@@ReferenceGetter There is no heresy. Battle Revolution is all about battling again and again. In fact, I think that what makes the charm of the game is the *way* you are battling. Every colosseum has its own music, rules and atmospere.

Yeah the soundtrack is incredible!

Honestly it is. Despite some tracks just being short pieces of looped music while you’re waiting in a menu or if there’s colosseum tracks I’m not a fan of compared to others, they’re all composed amazingly. Every track has a level of care and excitement put into it that elevates the game from just being a battling simulator.

I thought Starlight Colosseum was a bit disappointing on my first play through of it. I’m pretty sure the Colosseum leaders keep the same Pokemon and move sets from their respective colosseums, which doesn’t make for too much of a challenge. And when I finally reached Mysterio, he just spammed Giga Impact with Kingler, which was super easy to work around. Holy shit, the post game Starlight Colosseum run is a different beast though.

It's an impressive game but I always felt the overall battle speed was more drawn out and slow compared to the N64 titles.

@@ArbitraryOutcome I felt this as well. I tried doing an only rentals run of the game and would attempt the post game without transferring, but I gave up on that after trade battles. It’s a bit of a slog having to challenge Gateway Colosseum repeatedly in hopes of finding a Pokemon worth trading.

I completely agree with you. I think PBR should be revived. It’s been 16 years and we haven’t had a game like this. A lot has changed since gen 4 and we have 1010 pokemon now. We need a way where we could use all of them.

I'm guessing it was seen as redundant by Gen VI when it shifted to 3D. That said, PBR (and by extension, Stadium 1 + 2) had the whole quasi-Battle Frontier thing going, something the post-game has forgone in the mainline series.

@@Real_Infinity95 I think that would be less reason to make another colosseum style game. Having to render unique animations and models for over a thousand Pokemon would be a nightmare. Id still love to see a third installment in this series of side games though.

or at least make one thats used to host VGC stuff, battle with your own teams via home

With the Entire systems that surround the news games and not every Pokemon being available, a game like this would be very helpful in general. As of course the competitive scene just doesn't have every Pokemon or mechanic in SWSH it makes it hard to have a "Definitive" battling experience on the Switch, and while they easily good make another game like this one, Colo, XD, or the stadium games, Odds are it'll never happen as visually there's not much of a reason to, all 5 of these games had appeal due to their models, not being just sprites. It was weird when Generation 5 didn't have one, but Gen 6 onwards it seems the only reason they were made at all is irrelevant due to the modern games having models and whatnot, which is a shame. A remastering of this game could've done well alongside BDSP being very similar and all.
