It's like pokemon diamond and pearl except it doesn't cost 500 dollars just for a used cartridge / chasekip Games covered in this video: Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Art, editing, and voiceover by Chase Kip (duh)
I like how everyone back then was so afraid of garchomp even though back then spiritomb didnt have any weaknesses and it was the first pokemon that cynthia sends out in battle I was mostly afraid of spiritomb instead of garchomp.
True it had no weaknesses however it also had no health and negative speed, your pokemon is most probably gonna go first and as long as you don't use a move it's immune to you'll probably kill it in one or two hits, so it being her first Pokémon is more a determent than a perk really.
The way you drew the characters is so cute! I really like how Mars looks. This is so well animated and clearly a lot of effort was put into it, great job!
The whole "summon a random Bidoof to take care of your HM nonsense" mechanic is honestly a godsend especially in Gen 4 where you're crazy dependent on HMs to advance through the game. The whole auto EXP Share on the other hand made the major battles a little too easy
for me, i just raised two separate teams to get around the leveling issues (which was actually helpful because i ended up having A Selection for the elite four)
9:47 - 9:50 in Pokemon Masters, it's revealed that the three commanders actually enjoy being his tools (Cyrus literally uses the word "tools" when referring to them, to their faces, and they literally say "tools" when referring to themselves in their response). This revelation brings Cyrus to realize the error of his ways (his philosophy remains the same, but he realized that resetting the universe wasn't the way to fix it). Yes, Pokemon Masters is canon, how else would you reasonably tell stories that involve and mainly focus on trainers from every game in the series. It's also revealed that the very first fight you see when you boot up Pokémon RB or FRLG is Professor Oak (Nidorino) versus Agatha (Gengar).
The events in Masters aren’t canon, however anything said specifically about characters are canon. Basically if it pre-dates the character coming to Pasio, it’s canon.
Masters isn't canon lol And even then, that's something said YEARS after the creation of the original game, it isn't something that was thought of back then lmao
4:22 No, you're not unlucky. There was a mechanic in Sword and Shield that made wild pokemon above your level insanely hard to catch in an attempt to have players not catch overleveled pokemon. If this is still in BDSP than I think that's why you couldn't catch it. Also keep up the good work, these look awesome!
I haven't played a pokemon game in a long time but don't they already have a system so overleveled pokemon won't obey you? Why would it matter if you catch them?
The only things I remember about Sinnoh's E4 is that, the Fire Trainer only has 2 fire types in his party. An Infernape and a Rapidash. For whatever reason Gen4 didn't have a lot of Fire types.
As i know in Platinum you can get an eevee After you beat the Ghost Gym leader so TECNICALLY you can get a flareon if you find a fire stone, but in BDSP it's impossible getting an eevee without beating blond woman so...
The background here: 11:46 Barry makes his sad and happy face even tho he wished to become champion Dawn normal smiles Cynthia: emo goth girl smile Rowan: omg congrats I’m so sad
Until you realize he raised a whole team of 5 Torterras and 1 Dialga, meaning that one Turtwig evolved into Torterra by the time he fought Maylene while the rest were still Turtwigs
Your drawings turned out so well, it's really cool to see how you improve every video! And I love how good you are at retelling the stories. I look forward to every video.
Dude, your videos rock! I love watching them even when I’m not actually watching them. Sometimes I’ll just put them on to listen and still find them entertaining. I’ve always wanted a fire emblem lore explanation! That would be a cool video. Keep up what you’re doing!
0:22 Oh Professor Rowan, you lovable scamp! You look intimidating but deep down, you just love to see the fire burning in the heart of a promising young trainer!
5:47 funny thing is that I didn’t struggle against her Lucario because I was over leveled and chose chimpchar but instead I struggled against Cynthia’s Lucario which in my opinion is far more than her garchomp was in the original game.
I discovered your channel this evening and I'm quite impressed by your storytelling and illustration talent. Keep up the good work :) If you like tackling a really REALLY convoluted (but also kinda compelling ?) story, I challenge you to have a take on *Tales of Symphonia* (sequel optional because, honestly, the first game's story is enough as it is, and leagues better also).
The thing abt catching pokemon in gen 8 is, if you're under the level of the wild pokemon, they become Exponentially harder to catch, it's that way in SW/SH too.
Great video! Just wanted to point out the small detail where you put Mesprit in Lake Valor and Azelf in Lake Verity. But yea just a small detail, and the video is really funny as always!
I love the quality jump that each new video has, specially regarding the colors of the scenes, and I love how even whith all the jokes, the story is still pretty well explained. Pd: Will you do Xenoblade chronicles 2 explained?
I've been wanting a physical copy of platinum for what feels like forever after having lost mine years back and that video description hit a little too close to home. Also, I like the white outlines you added to the characters. Gives the whole vid the feel of stickers on a kid's storybook. Have you considered doing a video on Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky?
i understand you so much. I also lost my copy of platinum and is the only game in wich I never managed to defeat the champion. For this reason, I bought BD to get my revenge.
I feel you too… I have no idea where my copy is… however at some point I lost my physical SOA copy… and after I found it because of Jaiden animations… I replayed the whole game… and got myself Cranidos… and kept it with me after I finally defeated Drapion
Pokemon MCs are such an inspiration. They wake up and decide that they want to be a pokemon champion and they do it in a week unlike losers who spend most of their lives.
This is really helping me recap my adventure in my current first playthrough! But since I haven't finished I don't wanna spoil myself and will watch this as I go
10:42 Actually, that is a theory that the 8th gym leader is actually de vice-champion of the region, because he should be the only one who could easily select those who are strong enough to challenge the league. This is supported because Flint is actually Volkner's rival and Wallace being champion after Steven's retirement. In this context, not even the Elite Four could beat Volkner.
Seeing this, I think Generation 5 would be cool. Especially BW2. But, you know... since the stories are connected, both in one would be even better in my opinion. Yeah. I hereby formally wish for you to do the 5th Pokémon Generation.
Damn this guy's genuinely one of the best content creators on RU-vid. Keeps blasting out hilarious, informative 10-minute-plus animatics as if it's nothing. Anyway - explain Dark Souls you casual.
I literally discovered your channel yesterday and already binged all of your videos. Really love the content! P.S Can I request, the Dark Souls trilogy explained and the entire Yakuza seires explained?
I would love to see you talk about the lore of Bayonetta. I like to hear you go into more complicated stories, and even though there are only two games to it, that series has some wacky plot. Time travel, insane spectacle, amnesia, religious symbolism, it’s all here
7:49 Just want to point out that you accidentally swapped Mesprit and Azelf's lakes. Pink is at Verity and blue is at Valor. (I'm now disappointed in myself.)
You forgot to mention, Cyrus angrily challenges you after the Lake Trio release Dialga. And you have to challenge Dialga without healing. (Usually isn’t a problem, if you don’t mind using your masterball)
In the original gen 4 games Dialga and Palkia also had a catch rate of 30, so you could just chuck a normal pokeball at it and have a ~4.3% chance of catching it at full hp with a normal pokeball.
