Pokemon Ephemerald The Rom Hack With The Weirdest Pokemon! 

Fun fact: Volbeat is actually Mr. Tickles from a show I absolutely adored growing up. I dunno why but I absolutely love that he's still around somewhere

The Carvanha and Sharpedo are based off the Junji Ito manga “Gyo” where fish with robotic legs crawl out of the ocean

What turns me off is how inconsistent the designs are.. some of them are incredible and some look like they were done by toddlers

Volbeat and Illumise are actually designed after Mr. Tickle and Little Miss Sunshine from The Mr. Men Show

I'd make Reuniclus Psychic/Poison; I love Reuniclus to bits and it would make a lot of sense, due to the fluid surrounding it being toxic

I don't agree with the steel nerf, it was created to resist physic type moves. And letting it only have one immunity and bug type resit makes it extremely unbalanced.

I think the way I’d handle the whole Steel and Psychic thing is create a new Freeze-Dry type move that’s super effective on Steel Types but is a Psychic type move. Kinesis is a largely useless move, I think it’d make sense to turn into that because of bending spoons and all

Thanks so much for playing it, and for the prestigious score of 7.9/10 Too Much Water ;) I think your assessment that some are really cool and some are really dumb is totally accurate, both because I didn’t know how to spritrart at *all* when I started making this, but also because I didn’t want anyone to be boring. My goal was really to elicit a strong reaction out of people, whether it be “wow that’s badass” or “oh no what did she do to my boy” It’s super fun when my references aren’t undsrstood though haha (understandable, some of them are very stupid references). Sharpedo is a reference to a horror manga called Gyo. Forretress is a refefence to musician Porter Robinson, Volbeat and Illumine are children’s books called Mr.Men. The Kanto Starters and Eevee were typed Dark/Ghost/Ice/Dragon especially so they could be on the elite four teams. There’s a lot going on!

One thing I noticed about this game is some pokemon are word play jokes. Like rattata with cigarettes = "cigaRAT" there's anime references, general themes like the oddish line, seedot like being a metal band, etc. Interesting takes on the mons

Hey @zwiggo. Love your videos. Have you thought of a 4x weakness challenge for any base game or ROM hack? This would be where every pokemon on your team has a 4x weakness to something (like your fav swampert to grass, or a masquerain to rock, etc.)

I think it would be really cool if Zwiggo would re-visit radical red as the new 3.02 update made so many cool changes

Im not done with the vid yet but my favs so far are tied between brawlies starmie that torkal and the blaziken oh and Yaz loved how he evolved and the color scheme

Lugia has the flying type instead of water because it went underwater because the wind from its wings destroyed everything so it makes sense kinda

Even before seeing this, I honestly think the Pokemon series should have been rebooted in an alternate universe where almost all existing pokemon have different types, along with different names wherever necessary.

I've gotta play this hack! Especially for that Torchic fighting type! As for my type change, I'd love to make Bulbasaur a Grass Electric type! Imagine still having vine whip but they're wires that shock their opponents!

I'd make toucannon dark/flying type to set it apart from the other regional birds. It would make sense with it being super angry all the time and with how real life toucans steal babies and eggs from other birds' nests.
