no it doesn't, they didn't understand what Oak said in the first episode lmao. He invented the machine known as a pokedex. What warp zone did is akin to saying the guy who invented the car didn't actually invent the car or that he stole the idea from the guy who made the first horse drawn carriages. Edison built upon the Davy's first lightbulb and invented the lightbulb that many still based off of to this day

Fun fact: When the Pokémon anime first aired in the 90’s, it was only planned as a one-off series to promote the game. However, it proved surprisingly popular, and there have been over 20 series and 23 films! It’s also currently one of the longest running anime series ever!

I like to imagine that the Pokédex of the local region needs to be reassessed every so often as the populations of Pokémon in that region change over time, which would explain you having to fill a new Pokédex in Diamond and Pearl. Now, it doesn’t explain the need to fill the global Pokédex, but hey, sometimes necessary gameplay features just don’t fit into the lore.

I think in X &Y the characters just admitted you weren't actually adding to the scientific knowledge, that was just something they did to give the collector types something to focus on during their Pokémon journey.

The modern Pokédex seems to automatically register all your caught Pokémon and then probably pulls the information regarding the respective Pokémon from some sort of pre-made database, if we assume that all Pokémon have already been researched and your job is only to confirm their presence in the wild.

Yeah and I think it was stated that Professor Oak helped invent the actual Pokedex that we see now. But the book Pokedex has always existed. He just made it so you could put it in your pocket which is Pocket Monsters.... and is the Pocket Dex.

I think it would be cool to expand on this in sequel games to the originals. Imagine a sequel game to leafgreen/firered where you play as a new character in the Kanta region (maybe moved their from the Galar region since pokemon likes to do that) 10 yrs after the originals. Multiple pokemon that were once found in Kanto could have regional forms replacing their old Kanto forms that are know only found in other regions. I think zubat, ghastly, and a few others as well as kantonian forms of new Gen pokemon and new pokemon all together. This would mean that players are collecting new data for all these pokemon.

2:38 No, you're doing it wrong, you're supposed to hoard the cards like Smaug on Crystal meth, store each ultra rare card in fairly expensive plastic shields and then try to sell them to other guys at conventions, spending about 20 minutes debating on the quality of the card and the value....while also being extremely pissed you didn't snag a Holo Charizard card back when it was worth $5 as opposed to the $100,000 it is today....DAMNIT!

You see the problem with using a Gardevoir is that it could sense your weird intentions and then _murder you._ Very easily. Gardevoir is a really strong Pokemon. One that can summon black holes if the trainer who owns it is in mortal danger. And it likes them enough, of course. Gardevoir is a strong and terrifying Pokemon, who also happens to be very nice when people deserve it. It's like Mewtwo, but with actual emotions. Maybe not as strong as Mewtwo. But strong nonetheless. And that is why it is my favorite Pokèmon. I would really like it if people stopped making porn of it. I can't search up Gardevoir without there being some sort of lewd artwork of it. Please stop.

No, the last skit about Pokémon Legends Arceus is inaccurate, to make it more accurate, the skit should go in such a way in which a human wakes up and found out that they've got turned into a Pokémon and ended up in a world filled with only Pokémon, this is because in Pokémon Legends Arceus, you play as a human who got turned into a Pokémon and sent to a world filled with only Pokémon, the part in which you get turned into a Pokémon is important since in this game, you can get attacked by other Pokémon, and this can only be explained by having you being a Pokémon yourself, and because this description fits perfectly well with other Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games, Pokémon Legends Arceus is a Pokémon Mystery Dungeon game.

Franchise Zombie: The anime was intended to only last one season, with head writer Takeshi Shudo even planning a Grand Finale episode in *which Ash would beat Lance and achieve his dream of being a Pokemon master:* but the series was extended past that and continues to this very day, although it has had many ups and downs.

@@TheWarpZone It 100% is. If the creators don't determine what is and is not main series, there is literally no objective measure. I can say "Pokemon Yellow is a spin off because it has anime influence." or "Platinum is a spin off because it isn't a paired game!" Legends Arceus is 100% main series confirmed by Nintendo, Game Freak, and The Pokemon Company. And Far From Home is the epilogue to the Infinity Saga. It is meant to set up what is coming next, but also to give the final closure on what came before.

They could have gone further like why did the main character of snap bring a camera with flash wouldn't it disturb the wild if he forgets to turn it off? What about the teleportation system for vehicles what's keeping pokemon for running through as you slowly move in and out of it? Doesn't the teleporter emit energy I hope it's not something as bad as radiation.

Remember, *humans can't get attacked by Pokémon.*

I mean, in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series, before the events of Pokémon Legends Arceus, there was no Pokédex, but as soon as a human from a different world got turned into a Pokémon and sent to a world filled with only Pokémon in Pokémon Legends Arceus, the Pokédex was invented, not by humans since they didn't exist, but by Pokémon who decided that they would catalog every single species of Pokémon for Pokémon to learn about other Pokémon, remember, you're playing as a human who got turned into a Pokémon and sent to a world filled with only Pokémon in Pokémon Legends Arceus, so keep in mind that, it'll be important later on, and assuming the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon timeline is part of the main Pokémon timeline, it would mean that the Pokédex was invented before humans even existed in the Pokémon world, and remember that you're playing as a human who got turned into a Pokémon and sent to a world filled with only Pokémon in Pokémon Legends Arceus, this also holds true for other Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games, plus, in Pokémon Legends Arceus, because you're a Pokémon, you can get attacked by other Pokémon, exactly like in other Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games, therefore, Pokémon Legends Arceus is a Pokémon Mystery Dungeon game.

Pokemon Legends Arceus isn't a spin off though, its the main game for 2022. And Oak did invent the machine that is known as a pokedex, which will automatically catalogue the pokemon. Doesn't mean that the idea of cataloguing pokemon before didn't happen or wasn't thought of. It's like saying the guy who made the car cheated the guy who invented the first horse drawn carriage, its built upon the idea.

Torch the Franchise and Run: Considering one of the planned endings for the anime originally, Pikachu leading a revolt against the humans with Meowth as his ambassador, Misty becoming a Faux Action Girl, Ash putting away his childish To Be a Master dream, and playing up Pokemon as fantasy dog fighting, it seemed like Takeshi Shudo was planning to do this once the original anime is up. Probably best for the games that Game Freak understandably stepped in upon hearing this.

To be fair, I'm pretty sure Legends just has you completing the Hisui Region's first ever pokedex, the region later becoming the Sinnoh region. It's entirely possible that the electronic version of the Kanto Pokedex Professor Oak created could simply be inspired by the ink and paper Hisui Pokedex or the cataloging of other regions pokemon and I may be a nerd for writing all this but your the one who read it.

In Pokémon Legends Arceus, you're a human who got turned into a Pokémon, and since you're a Pokémon, it means that you can get attacked by other Pokémon, exactly like in other Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games, therefore, Pokémon Legends Arceus is a Pokémon Mystery Dungeon game, and since Pokémon Legends Arceus has a Pokédex, it means that a Pokémon Mystery Dungeon game can have a Pokédex and that Pokémon can create a Pokédex.

For Pokemon Conquest in real life you'd just need to steal a scene from a historical drama set during the Sengoku Jidai and then edit in the apporiate Pokemon for each historical figure
