That Big Stupid smile sure did vanish off Tesla's face after he lost that big pot. He does a lot of celebrating when he wins, this is the flip side to that.
This is the tell tale sign of all maniacs, and then they try to justify themselves by belittling their opponents for calling. They think that they can just steamroll everyone all the time and never have any reprocussions.
Lol bro I was literally just thinking the same thing, what a good gig Doug has - automatically being allowed in these juicy games while still making money off the rake 😂
@OperationNonsense what's funny is no one can never tell Doug he can't play in the game lol. From all the times he got denied to play in juicy private games back in the day, now his dream has come true
Happy Easter!!! Tesla is cringe to watch. Your playing with some pretty damn good poker players trying to bluff off your hand every time isn’t going to work. It is fun to see to some extent though 😅
Tesla is such an idiot - every single time he got caught bluffing he claimed he misread his hand and thought he had straight. Something about that dude annoys the hell out of me.
I do like aspects of his style of play aggression with suited cards especially. That Taras 3 bet on the flop should have had him hesitating to think of a pocket pair. Especially in a game where monster hands seemed pretty common for whatever reason.
He relies on the "all in" as his biggest weapon, but he overvalues the play. He knows that when they are sitting 700+ BB's deep that the 'all in' will get people to muck almost everything except the nuts. I'm sure he is able to bully a lot of opponents who likely aren't as sufficiently rolled as him (if it is the case that he has a tremendous amount of money). It's awesome when people have the stones to call him!
@@danradke98275 you're wrong. He bullies absolutely nobody. He is literally one of the worst poker players on earth. There's a way to be a big loose aggressive loser but still make other players sweat. It sure as hell isn't what he does. Looks like he learned the rules 10 minutes ago and got bored of playing already.
Tesla lied on the 2nd to last hand. He claimed that he misread his hand, thinking he had a straight. How is that possible when after the turn he had 2,3,6, and 8? He was nowhere near having a straight, nobody misreads their hand by 2 cards. He was embarrassed because he got caught bluffing, so he played it off by pretending he misread his hand. He's the kind of guy that likes to bet big, playing the big shot, but can't handle losing very well.
I think your right but he could of thought he had 4 6 instead of 8 6. I think he was just embarrassed to show 8 6. He actually played the hand well untill the turn. If he just bet that turn he prob would of scooped the pot.
Respectfully He claimed to misread his hand and believed he had a straight. Motivation to lie would be not out of any sense of shame or embarrassment. It's to do creating doubt in his opponents mind about his bluff catching call. So Tara's can get only the minimum confidence or momentum from the showdown. It's damage control.
We all knew this would happen at some point, guy is hard to play against cause he's the opposite of scared money. But when people figured out he plays so much garbage.... you're done for.
They're going on the assumption that everyone that comes to this game is a good guy and would never have any bad intentions. That sets the perfect stage for a criminal to come in and do whatever the fuck he wants.
its so funny: everyone else at the table knows exactly how fishy his play was but they keep their mouth shut to make him stay and blast even more money off. they just look at him and pray they will catch him in a hand later.
“He might be ahead” and “that’s where I hoped you were at” aren’t mutually exclusive. He can shove expecting a flush draw to fold and also (justifiably) expect to be behind when called.
Alex Duvall's channel is the best on youtube for poker content. I don't have time anymore to watch all these streams or long twitter/twoplustwo threads. Always get a nicely edited summary here 👍
Taras has substantially upped his game and studied. He played the man and made some difficult calls against the maniac. He's still not the best person at the table, but he isn't blasting off losing his stacks as often as he used to.
It's interesting seeing the hands in consecutive order. I saw the last hand early on and it was confusing but with the hand history, it makes more sense.
This gets lost after Tesla punted off anyway, but Taras just flatting the 3bet vs Tesla is criminally bad. Tesla was playing so crazy at that point that I don't think you need to worry about keeping his range wide when he's calling a 4b a vast majority of the time. You have a monster vs a guy with no fold button, increase the pot ASAP.
Why do they have security swipe you with a metal detector after going to the bathroom? And what's she going to do if there's a problem? If you need security, then hire security.
I thought I overplayed QQ with the same action with a whole $1000. I learned my lesson then. As for Tesla and AA that last hand, you only beat KK or a bluff.
There’s no way Tesla can continue playing at these stakes. He is so severely overmatched it’s not even funny. These are some serious pros and they will continue pick him apart. There’s just no way he has deep enough pockets to continue to throw away this type of dough.
There are some seriously rich people in this country. People would be shocked at how many have over 100 million and aren't even known. That's why most of us are working for peanuts. Even rich people rarely have millions in their bank account though, so the thought of him having to sell a property or stock to keep him in a game he is clearly the worst in will keep most rich people who haven't turned into degens from getting too deep.
@@D.D.-ud9zt Strikes me as odd that a person can have accunulated so much wealth, yet be so useless at gambling and have such a lack of awareness of ones own skills. Unless the money has been inherited. I guess I am just naive.
I assume this guy wants everyone to call him “Tesla” cause he made his money on Tesla stock? Or he owns a tesla fleet??🤔 There is something about a man in his mid 40s having a nick name and feeling proud about it. Imo its childish.
I am curious to know if Tesla is a net winner or net loser since showing up on Poker At The Lodge. My guess is Net Loser because he is such a loose aggressive player.
Tesla clearly is a bit of a baby. Like most who aren't actually v good. Any decent player wouldn't play with money they can't lose and don't take a loss like that. Wp Taras
