As a sport psychologist, I am amazed how perfectly you included some important main principles of thinking in the video. Planning, visualizing and positive thinking is a key method in all sports, not just in pool. I am so glad to see this! Instant thumbs up!

In your "how to visualize" steps I think you should change #4 to say "only positive visualizations". Get rid if that negative stuff all together. I really enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work.

Again a negative thing that could've also been said in a positive way. Very good hint!

I think this tutorial would be better if started with the natural tangent and natural 3 rail shot. Then marry the two shots together and add appropriate top, bottom, or right English. Start out with the billiards "plus 5" system or something. Not guessing the 3rd rail point. I've watched many videos from Sharivari and I found all the others to be impeccable. Great job Sharivari! Keep up the good work. And thank you. You have proven yourself. I will join your teaching program.

Can’t you just play a bank with forward spin? Seems a lot easier in my opinion.
@Denis8492
@Denis8492 4 года назад
Controlling the cue ball with inside english and pocketing the ball with bank shot is insanely hard, especially when outside angle of cue ball is too high.. percantage of pocketing this shot is just too low, try it and you will see.
@G35Jeff
@G35Jeff 4 года назад
Brandon klein I would have played the bank shot too. I play a lot of one pocket, and that's a pretty typical one pocket shot and it would leave you nicely on the two ball.

I like "Don't visualize the area, visualize the point, because the margin of error isn't that big." Basically, aim small, miss small.

Another type of throw also exist. This occurs when two balls are kissing. This type of throw is actually more powerful than spin and very useful to know. The fact that it works leads me to believe it has something to do with solid geometry. If anybody can explain this phenomena in scientific terms I would be most interested. Danny from Cleveland!
@Sharivari
@Sharivari 5 лет назад
Thanks for the hint. This type of throw is also planed to be a part of the upcoming lesson about throw.
@Guitarded4life1

Carl Anderson Good question. In physics it’s called static friction and kinetic friction. Like if you’re pushing a heavy box across the floor, it takes less force to keep it sliding against kinetic friction than it does to overcome the initial static friction to get it started. Most throw is kinetic friction. But if they’re kissing, it’s static friction. goo.gl/images/jT9dzb

Depends how high your percentage of making the one ball is. Mine for example is pretty high. So I try to make it and if I'm then not getting the desired position on the two ball I can still play save. Main message: You don't want to let your opponent get to the table.
