Well, well..... That was bloody carnage, that car handled like a wet dog turd on steroids! 💩 I am thoroughly disappointed with myself that Taylor has beaten me once again. 😢 But, on a more positive note we managed to beat Rob, and Fil, and creep up very close to Sir Pete wylies time! 🤣 And, isn't anyone guna give me some love for that amazing dukes of hazzard style jump straight into the sewage ditch?!! 🤣 😂 Most of our issues today were caused by the tires ballooning and catching on the body, which in turn resulted in us loosing a tire foam and shredding a tire, rendering the car undrivable! Great fun though, and we will be back for another attempt soon.... I'm pretty certain we can squeeze more out of her, especially once we add some foam tires and a larger pinion. Hiya guys (girls too).... Great run dudes & dudette!!!!! I think after you raised the body the car started spinning out..... Oh, thanks for the mention... The Frankencaddy body is a light weight, very thin body, next time I'll use my AMG body... I think new tires (tyres) will help... It's a fine line between traction & speed & handling.... Also, it takes a light trigger finger and a long run up to hit max speed.... Good luck Guys (girls too)!!!!!!!!!
Hey Bob! Cheers for watching matey! 😆 Yes mate, I was sceptical over raising the body as Taylor suggested. The tires were ballooning at around 40mph and hitting the wheel arches.... this in turn ended up shredding one of the tires which left the car undrivable on the last few runs! Currently in the process of ordering some contact foam tires for the next run. Also got a pit card on its way to try and tweek the motor /ESC set up. In all honesty I'm amazed that car is still in one piece! 🤣 👍 👍 👍
Cheers Dirk..... Nah mate, I dont think it's cursed, it just our poor driving.... I'm really not used to these levels of speed! Also, the road is quite cambered.... its always dragging the car towards the inside! Combine that with the severe torque steer this car suffers with and as soon as you hit full throttle all control is lossed! @@yodadarksideGreenHawksRC as long we all had fun, it's okay James. You're right, it'astonishing how mich these chassis can take. I had seen a lot chrashes over this competition, but only minor damages. I can understand you, these speeds aren't mine either, but with ervery run it gets better.
Lol..... Got to love Mr Hankey! 💩 He deserves to come out more than once a year don't ya think?! Little did I know when I put that T shirt on that day just how appropriate it would be- Perfect for when you crash the TT02 into the sewage ditch!! 🤣 That car handled like a piece of Hankey that day..... hopefully a set of foam contact tires will help on the next run! @@poorboysrc Cheers Fil! Steering dual rates are already dialed as far back as possible! That stretch of road is actually quite cambered, it's constantly pulling you to the inside, especially on full throttle! That combined with the torque steer you mentioned makes it nearly impossible to keep in a straight line! Ideally the car needs a lot of upgrades to reduce the slop.... but we will leave that to the professional channels! 🤣 We set out on a limited budget,just using what we already had lying around, for the laughs more than anything, But, I think with some foam tires, a larger pinion and a lot of luck we could potentially squeeze more out of it..... And not guna lie, definitely getting drawn into the competitive element now, especially after Sir Pete Wylie calling us out! 🤣 👍 👍 👍

But James certainly came out top in the "Most Spectacular Crash" competition, Haven't laughed so much in ages!!! Trying to match his shirt to the car in terms of sh!t!!!! I did say that to her. By her go one of the tires was so shredded up it was undrivable. I have to say I laughed really hard when James did the crazy tornado spin and then immediately turned around and jumped it right into the ditch! That was hilarious!!! You guys need to pick up a set of the Contact foam tires to not have to worry about the rubber ones blowing out on you. I did enjoy the hyper spins it caused but not great at all for the speed part! Enjoying the bit of rivalry between the two of you, friendly and snarky!

Argh, those elusive 50 mph and 80 kph... Just can't seem to break that speed barrier, can we? Very close, and some good runs until the car became too beaten up and way too unstable... Back into the garage, fix and improve, still 2 weeks to go! Lots of good fun and banter in your video, gotta admit Taylor has more patience and is more calm on the throttle... Would be a fun challenge to try with stick radio, might do that on my end run, just for fun...
You hit the nail on the head there Mads..... speaking from experience!! Yep, the elusive 50!!!! It's definitely got it in it, and i think we can easily clear it with foam contact tires and a larger pinion gear. Yeah, Taylor is slow at everything he does.... which helps him with a steady throttle range. Where as I'm seriously hyper and get carried away! 🤣 As for the transmitter, we have loads of remotes..... but we both prefer the old school stick controls over the trigger grips. Taylor has been rubbing my face in it all day, can't believe he done me again! 😵 But hey, on a more positive note- We beat Rob (without the assistance of squirrels 🐿️) we beat the 'most excellent' Fil, and was only 2mph behind the mighty king of brushless tamiyas 'Sir Pete Wylie'!!! By half way through the runs the car was in a bad way.... we had lost a tire foam, and one of the rear tires had shredded! 😬 Back to the drawing board for the Greenies..... Next step, foam tires and a bigger pinion I think. I will be happy just to clear 50mph. Bloody good fun though dude! 👍 👍 👍

That noise is the plastic centre drive shaft vibrating about aswell. It was rubbing the tyres on the shell which was drowning out the driveshaft noise.
Hey fella, glad you said that...... I mentioned that hypothesis to the others, there's way to much flex there, ideally needs an upgrade when running that much power for sure. Our car is pretty much stock, we went into this challenge with a very limited budget, just using what we already had lying around. But, I think foam contact tires are definitely required for the next run. With those, and a larger pinion we might just be able to squeeze a little more out of it..... if we can keep it on the road!!
