A lifetime of dialysis, and to have seizures as he did. As someone who has seizures, I understand the harm they can cause. Rest in peace Mr. Coleman 😿✌❤
Going from a star to working security truly is a sad life… as a guy who worked security for almost 2 years before starting my career, it’s really a soul crushingly boring and publicly mocked job to have.
Wow i had no idea that kid on different strokes had such a tough life. Medically and financially. I knew his parents took his money but he sued them and won alot back. But how could they pay him?? Thanks for his story what a sad ending to his last few years. RIP Gary. Nobody should live that way. All those problems.
So sad that these guys work most of their life just to see the ones that you trust steal from you. Then have all the health problems on top of that. Just sad Steve. I didn't know he had all that trouble 😢😢. Thanks for all the information.
This poor fella. He really had a roughproud so successful and yet so tragic of a life. And to think adopted parents with the jackie cougan law How corrupt this Country is. He was truly a pitiful person so sad
I bet myself 10 bucks that once I pointed out to you that the COOGAN LAW did nothing to help Coleman your next show would be on Coleman. 3 days later...here's the show.
Real shame,,🫤 nice guy,, watched Different Strokes over here in the uk as a kid in the 80s,, loved it,, also a great kids film he was in,,on the right track, he could pick winning horses if i remember,,,👍🇬🇧🇺🇲
Such a sad story. I did not know this actor...I think I did see him once in some series but honestly thought he was a child actor at the time. You do such wonderful work with your caring way to present these videos. Thank you!
I remember seeing him being carried around by Michael Jackson in the 90s I believe. Btw I was joking around, I love your channel. No disrespect. Gary's story was always fascinating to me, I felt bad for him. His parents spent money on buying mini malls that went under
Thanks again Steve for your content. I had to google him because I thought his career experienced a little renaissance after it became known he was working as a security guard, from what I found he continued to have minor speaking and acting roles just about up to his time of death but his legal woes continued and he was involved in several public altercations during his last few years. Another child actor ripped off by the very people who should of protected him, a very sad story all around
Here's a Fun Trivia Fact:Gary Coleman was also on Fernwood 2Night with Martin Mull he was also set to do a live action Lil Rascals series that Norman Lear was set to produce he was going to play Buckwheat but the studio cancelled the project in 1977
Gary Coleman makes me think about another actor, Walter Tetley, who may have suffered from Kallmann syndrome, a condition that made him sound like a pre-teen boy all his adult life. He was on various radio shows, like the "Great Gildersleeve." His most known role is probably the voice of Sherman on "Mr. Peabody". His ending is quite sad as well.
I live in Chicago and I remember seeing a little guy around 1970 - 1972 on local TV commercials for Harris Bank of Chicago. I thought he came from Waukegan Illinois one town south of Zion.
His seemed like a difficult life, but Gary Coleman was a very dedicated actor. I liked when he had a cameo on "Drake & Josh". And here's a neat tidbit: Gary passed away the same week as Dennis Hopper
I always enjoy your videos. I hope you have a "life and sad ending" about yourself. Keep it updated yearly. Leave physical instructions on how to post on this channel with a Friend or loved one.
Like Oprah Winfrey, Gary Coleman got his start in Chicago TV. He appeared in ads for Harris Bank which had as its logo Hubert the lion. And there was a Hubert doll. In the commercial Gary was with the toy lion and say you should get a Hubert doll
I remember hearing he had kidney problems but back in those days you never knew whether what you were hearing was true. At some point I think I heard he was running for Mayor or something. In the early 2000's I think it was.
Of all the "Drummond/Jackson" kids, who would've thought Willis would be the one still standing? I don't mean that in a harshly manner. It's just that I know Todd Bridges had many issues in life as far as drugs and prison time is concerned. Hopefully he is still doing well and staying on the straight and narrow. I personally believe that that wife of Gary's had something to do with his "fall." It's speculative on my part, but just a feeling I have. Because you're right. I have heard that they had quite the tumultuous relationship. There's a lot of suspicion surrounding his death.
If half his income would have been invested in a simple and well managed S&P 500 fund.....he would have never needed to work security. No fancy investment advisor needed. He would not have been wealthy. But he would have been able to own a modest home in a nice area and afford groceries
His wife really didn't try to help him. He fell and she didn't wish to be near him because it made her to see the blood. Some speculate she pushed him down. RIP Gary Coleman !
Now,that’s terrible ! How does a thing like that even happen. No service, & where’s his ashes. I didn’t know he fell and hurt himself before his demise. Only “42”. That is sad . 🎭📺😅😇 RIP Gary Coleman
@@TheLifeandSadEnding it's ok. his extensive collection was widely known, and he spent many enjoyable hours working on his models as well as jobs in hobby shops. perhaps his "curse" even extended after death though, as there were estate squabbles in breaking up what he had. I do thank you for telling about his life.
