It looks high quality though. I can only assume the video was originally recorded in 720p or 1080p resolution. I don't remember the early days of RU-vid support such resolutions.
The GT2 RS is the baddest Porsche on the planet in my eyes! 620 H.P. twin turbo and it just looks lethal! I guess that's why it's the widow maker. They only made 500 of them so when ever your on ebay and your lucky enough to see one for sale they want half a million for it. I also love the new 2016 GT 3 RS with the grills in the front fenders and 500 H.P.!!!!
Pham Khoi One of the scariest cars ever made ....and best!!!! A few cars over the years have been named the widow maker. But only a real few really are and the GT 2 RS is really a widow maker!!! :-)
I'm from montréal and each time we go to europe, especially Germany, we're completely amazed by the german cars, because when they come to america the performances are lowered a bit because of pollution norms. Love my 911
@danadaen No, that doesn't make sense. What does makes sense is that the 911 GT1 was created to compete in the GT1 class at Le Mans (and later, in the FIA GT championship). The GT2 was created for the same reason, as a race version of the 993 turbo. The GT3 was created later and again, named after the class it was competing in. The Carrera GT was created much later, was never intended to race (although it did have a racing engine) and doesn't have anything to do with the 911 GTx naming system.
@Hinloopen Yup, one difference is that since the GT3 is NA, it has better engine response where as he GT2 requires the turbo to spool up for the power. Personally i prefer the GT3 for a track car.
I guess you didnt get my point yet , I ve mentioned my point of the Nurburgring clearly which is :as it is a very demanding track so we can get general idea about the cars spec not like the short traks ,Tho ZR1 being cheap that is a fact but for the time on track it has almost 100 more hp and it did only around 7sec on a 7min+lap time should tell you something and you should not forget where the diffrence of price plastic on chevy/CF on Porsche , ceramic brakes ect t
At least Porsche still has some balls; all the other companies out there are falling to popular demand and making most of their cars with paddle shifters. I admire Porsche because they took a good product, and figured out how to make a good thing better, year after year for nearly 6 decades with the 911. No other manufacturer can say that.
Driving and using a hand held mobile phone is a definite no no, but driving with both hands free of the steering wheel whilst reading a report... that totally fine. ;-)
if you're all about going to the circuit track and race...you should know that an all engine car is better, the transitions are smoother than a turbo charged car which is like a big punch to the engine and can be tricky to control taking endurance out of ur engine...in the past...formula cars were turbocharged...the engines needed to be rebuilt before everyrace...thats how damaging the turbos can be. Thats why all engine like the GT3 is the way to go for the track u can race w/ peace of mind...
Very nice car IF you know what to do when it comes! But not as exciting as the F430 Scuderia in my personal opinion! Great presentation well done Chris!
@buttnut1080 the GT2 is fine and hold nicely against the car it was made to compete with, the LP560 and the F430 or even the F430 Scuderia But it isn't a mach for the 458Italia and the LP570-4 SL which are a notch higher but it is quite normal they just came out on sale so i believe the GT2 face lift would be more than enough to compete with these cars and the RS would compete with the 458 scuderia and the future gallardo LP590-2 SV
the car is awesome and i love porsche....but i think the only thing i dont really like or would want in the middle, would be the timer /clock ...if im really driveing good i dont have time to pay attention to that anyway...have someone else do it u kno...but the design really is nice though....=)
also there is a huge diffrence , the car wasnt the normal security equipement while the porsche was pure stock , i m not a badge fan boy patucalary , but those what did i mean you pay for the badge aswell
A lot of car reviews are like personality types, the majority are very factual, or "laddish" and mucking about, this one is very intuitive as well as factual as well as a decent bit of squirrely mucking about.
@danadaen Correction, GT3 to GT2 to Carrera GT. The 997 GT2 is actually about 75hp less and about 4 mph slower then the 980 Carrera GT. It however has at least 80 more hp and about 15mph faster then the 997 GT3.
Ja ik denk het wel. Als je bijvoorbeeld ervaren hebt hoe een auto met 4wielaandrijving (gallardo) of een auto met de motor achterin (GT2) dan weet je een stuk beter waar je over praat denk ik.
This outperforms the z06 in every way, and actually has an appropriate upscale interior. Even if you get the Leather Wrapped Interior Package option on the z06 the interior is still garbage for a car of that price. Anyway, the Corvette ZR1 is the one that slighty outdoes the GT2 in every aspect, except in terms of interior quality of course.
This outperforms the production Ferraris. It also isn't a pussy car like all Ferraris are, it can take a beating and be driven alot. Ferraris are high maintenace that take alot of basic upkeep and certain parts need replaced every so many thousand miles.
From 0-100 km/h the turbo s is the fastest, but to 200, and on... the gt2 RS is the fastest :) so if you want to race between the lights, pick a turbo S :)
