Krystie Arroyo Im pregnant myself with my fourth child and i haven’t done any of the genes test on any of my children because sometimes you can get false positives and would be emotional and stressful throughout pregnancy . my mom had done this test and they had told her the baby was coming with Down syndrome and that wasn’t true the baby came completely healthy, doctors can say one thing but god always has another plan for us and he always has the last word, dont stress too much leave it in gods hands and have faith in him 🙏

Hi. What was your baby outcome. My dr told me at 13,week ultrasound that the baby may have down syndrome. NT was 4.5. I am waiting for nipit result.

Don't lose hope, I was once told could have a child with D.S. It turned out my son was perfectly fine. For some reason if you are 40 plus or even 37 plus they would say, you could be carrying one. My son NT was just 3.0 mm within normal range he is fine. I trusted the almighty and surrender everything. My son now is 8 month and healthy without D.S. just pray

Agreed. And other siblings will have to care for and pay for them if the parents die. I can’t put that on my other kids.

The older kids are stuck taking care of this child. Its a burden on society as well. I would get rid of it.

What a bunch of lame excuses. My sister was born with Downs Syndrome. She is 52 yrs old now and was fine. She went to a special school for delayed kids. She was in gymnastics and ballet. She took medals in special Olympics. She was a cheerleader, prom queen and was the class valedictorian. She is very popular and happy. At no time was she a stress to my siblings. She’s a very ordinary Downs Syndrome child so people it’s not that bad.

Update : the test results came back for the fish test and the original test , they told me I have a healthy baby boy♥️ my blood test screening was a false positive.

I was just told the exact same thing. I'm freaking out and I'm praying that our baby is healthy and happy. I go in for an ultrasound on monday. Praying that looks ok or I'll be doing the amino. What every happy with your story?

I had two inconclusive nipt results due to low fetal fraction, they also came back inconclusive for the gender. The doctor said that inconclusive means a failed test. So i called the lab and they said it doesnt mean anything other than there is no answer. Im over weight and that can make the results inconclusive too. Praying for the both of you .

Aide Garcia Diaz My first reply came out of fear of been judge but in actually my husband and I decided to terminate the pregnancy after I learned that the test results came back positive for Down syndrome, I wanted to double check, I was hoping against hope that the anmio was wrong however when the doctors did an anatomy ultrasound (which is more thorough) they found out the baby had a significant whole in his/her little heart and fluid in his/her lungs. My baby was really sick. So taking the decision of terminating the pregnancy was very hard, going through the process was even harder I think I lost my mind out of grief. I was contemplating suicide, I felt like the most awe full person in the world. Coming home with breast full of milk, but with empty hands and an empty belly, feel rotten because my body was just too old to create a healthy baby I was heartbroken for a while and I’m still am. The pain doesn’t go away but it does gets easier, it’s been almost two months since then and I cry less and I’m not in a dark place anymore. For anyone who is reading this amd going through the same, hold on, you are strong you can get through it.

It's called screening test or NIPT test...but unfortunately my baby is no more...he couldn't survive

@Madhash Ali ...I don't know why my second result came negative..my doctor said that it happens in 23 percent of ladies that screening test is positive and second which is NIPT test would come negative.. it's my badluck that I couldn't save my baby though my second test result was absolutely normal

Starskyy that’s because many children with Down syndrome have heart defects among other medical issues. It’s their right to make that choice.

I feel like that choice isn't an easy one to make and I certainly would understand why someone would choose to end the pregnancy or have the baby. I would not judge either decision. Everyone has different situations and different levels of support and different types of support. I feel the individual makes the best decision for themselves and their baby.

@@cpell0929 Hello, Thank God, My baby okay, he is healthy and growing (I found the gender) there's nothing wrong with my baby. My Placenta looks normal. My doctor told me they don't really know what's the caused of my low fetal fractions, maybe because I slightly over weight.

I’m on the same boat 😔😭 I did NIPT test and waiting “results” but even then that’s only a screen and not a diagnostic. Even if the NIOT comes back “negative” it will always be in the back of my head throughout my pregnancy and for me to have the peace of mind I will need to do the amniocentesis test 😭😭😭😭 . Maricela Saucedo I understand completely I’m 29 n yesterday I was tested positive for having a chance of my child my first child my first pregnancy to be tested positive with down syndrome and I’ve also been tested positive of a high risk of miscarriage and premature labour and I was completely emotional I am still emotional I still don’t know if I wanna do the extra tests because you can take the blood test and I’ll give you a percentage but you won’t know until your baby is born that is 100% and I know this isn’t my fault but in my head I keep thinking what did I do wrong what could I have done differently I’m already a failure as a mother and I haven’t even had my baby yet and that’s in my head and I know this isn’t my fault but chips late as they may when implantation happened and now I’m just waiting for my doctor to call me back and I’m waiting for my next ultrasound to see soft markers which I didn’t even know was a thing I’m nervous I am scared I’m angry i’m just completely emotional but my heart goes out to you and hope everything goes good and because of COVID-19 when I go back into the doctors clinic I wish I could have my husband there I wish I could have my support person because he is as scared as I am he hasn’t even gotten to see the ultrasounds we got to see our baby move we got a little clip at the end that I took a picture of with my phone because we’re not allowed to have cameras in the office but he’s been so supportive and so amazing I’m in complete in love with him so my heart and prayers go out to you and your family and I hope you do the same.
