If this video helps one person feel less alone then it's worth it I suppose. I decided to do minimal editing since I thought it ruined the whole point of the video

I know how you feel! I studied abroad in Paris over the summer and coming back to the United States I felt so weird and out of place. I felt so uninspired and longed to go back. It didn't help that I follow a bunch of Parisian Instagram account either. I eventually adjusted back to my American lifestyle, but there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about my Parisian adventures! I hope one day I can go back because I fell in love with the city!

Hi Briana, thank you for commenting. Yes you seem to know exactly how I feel. :( I wish you best of luck in returning to Paris, I hope you'll feel better soon.

I'm so glad that I found this video. I moved to Paris in December 2015 to join my boyfriend who was living there and when I came back to England in August 2016, he joined me. I had spent most of 2015 travelling between the two just like you did and moving there was the most exciting experience. I loved my time there so much; I have never felt so inspired and although I have settled back into life here, I find myself longing to go back. Your videos help a lot and they are so enjoyable!

I also did the exact same thing in my last two weeks in Paris; Moping about, sleeping and looking for the bad things. I'm really glad you made this video because I thought I was crazily emotional for feeling this way. Paris will always have a special place in my heart and I'm trying to remind myself that it's only a flight or train journey away and that hopefully, one day, I can return.

Hi Emily, I'm so glad you were able to relate to the video. It really sounds like we had similar experiences. I really hope you'll feel better soon. I went back to Paris in January for a week, the first time after having lived there: I thought it would make things worse but it actually really helped. I realised that the city really was still there, just as I remembered and the places hadn't changed at all. I also went with friends and not with my boyfriend and I found that to be a whole different experience, which made me realise I wouldn't want to move there without him. I really love taking photographs in Paris, it's actually the only place I enjoy photographing, so I loved being inspired again and knowing that photos I took people would think are beautiful. Though I realised that remembering Paris through photographs (especially edited/with filters) was slightly distorting my memory, of course the city is beautiful, but not every angle is perfect and romantic. I also realised in going back in January that Paris in the Summer was phenomenal, but I don't love as much Paris in the winter (I want to go out less etc). I guess in summary I realised that Paris is not going anywhere. If I feel I can't live without it, I can go back, but I think I'm mostly idealising the past. Though I'm not trying to talk about Paris all the time, I'm still very much afraid that people might forget that I lived there; that something so important to me, others might not know. Thanks for sharing your thoughts ^_^

Aw, it sounds like it was so difficult to leave! You'll be back. ;) When you said men trying to "talk to" you I thought at first you said "torture" you! :o

Hi ! From what I understood, i would say that you're missing brain challenges ? Something that tickles you're "need to know, need to understand". And in England you're in a kind of state that " I figured it out already, there's no challenge here". For your french improvement, what i found after studying english and a bit of japanese is, grammar is irrelevant as long as you have basics, you need vocabulary. The person you will be talking to will correct in its head what you did wrong, and french know how their grammar is an absolute hell even for them... ( you may find my english a bit weird because I often use it in a french way because the grammar is not realy relevant as long as I'm understood ) There's a third point I found but can't remember it... I'll say it's my INTP brain, lost at some points in some thought process... And i don't want to watch the video again ! Too lazy... Concerning the Feeling problem... Well, INTP here, so i can relate to that. Annnnnd I just look at them as strange creatures, sometimes funny, sometimes irritating. Just let them be and express them ( record a video or write or talk to a friend). There's no use, in my opinion, to try to understand them. When they are irritating me, I just try to find some interesting things to think about, and get lost in the thought process, then laugh ( because it ends usually very silly ) and feeling better !

Hi thank you so much for taking the time to comment. Yes I think it could some how be related to being away from normality, having new interesting exciting possibilities. I'm finding my French vocab is quite strong, my problem is really the tenses at the moment. I can use some quite well and others not so well! Thanks again, I'll look now at the other comments you wrote. :)
