Yeah I appreciate his call to action and optimism, although I see how he's interpreting some things in the light of his eschatology rather than interpreting his eschatology through scripture
Glorious truth! Christ is Lord of all nations NOW! For 35 years I dabled in premillinial inconsistencies, 5 years ago the Lord graced me to see this Postmillennial hope and since that time I have watched the destruction that dispensationalism produces both spirituality & politically. Yet my Postmil hope convinces me that He will right his tilting ship, no.matter where they stand with eschatology for He will have dominion from sea to sea. He will build his church and hells gates will not prevail. As Doug has often said, "Thy Kingdom come, not thy Kingdom go!"

I can to the same conclusion about the rich man of Luke 16 being a brother in law Caiaphus and son of Annus. What is interest also is that Annus had one other son who served as Priest before Jesus gave this account, and his name was Eliezer, (Greek Lazarus) just like the name of the beggar. Apparently he did not die till around the time of the Jewish war and became known as a scribe. But I believe the audience knew he was targeting the priesthood, which being Sadducee, believed in soul sleep and denied the resurrection.

I'm confused at minute 30 where he starts talking about the kings of earth chaffing under Jesus rule and wanting to do something about it. I don't see that in the new testament. He wasn't a political ruler...wasn't it only the Jewish religious leaders who were truly concerned about Jesus influence?
Pilate wanted the status quo kept, and Jesus was disrupting that. Herod killed thousands? of baby boys to prevent a new king from replacing him. Jesus claimed to have all authority in heaven and on earth, a claim that put Him in political opposition to the concept of the Roman Emperors
Oh no, the Roman were very concerned about the fact that Christians put Jesus over Caesar, that's why Paul was executed and Christians were persecuted by the Romans. Every worldly system wants to be the supreme power, when we say we'll obey God over them, they go insane.
Thank you Right Response Ministries for another encouraging video! I wanted to ask one question that has been haunting me recently a lot. As a Postmilenialist myself, i didn't used to believe in a literal antichrist figure coming before Jesus and tormenting the Church. But now considering the AI developments, and the incredible power this technology is giving the governments and private enterprises of the world, how can i still hold faith that The Antichrist is not a literal figure that will come to be and be empowered through some more developed form of AI?
At one point in this video Doug, unable to help himself as he opens up the Word of God, exclaims "Oh, there;'s so many wonderful things!"... Well, on an infinitely smaller scale of course, I offer the same exclamation as my quick review of this talk.
I thought it was a stretch as well, but it was just all my presuppositions of what I have been taught as a premil dispi. It’s really hard to lay aside your presuppositions and study it at face value, but I encourage you to do so because when done, it is so clear, and so glorious. If not, then at least you know why you believe what you believe!
I was right there with you. It was a thorough study of the Old Testament and the prophets that totally changed my worldview. Now I see it everywhere and it's seemingly unavoidable. The change happened without me really even realizing it. 😂
Keep in mind that the book of Revelation is covenantal,,,, the covenant breakers are about to taste the wrath of God. Also, John is in the tribulation with the 7 churches, and these things he is writing about are to happen "soon." Presupposing that God can tell time, that unlike the Daniel prophecy, this one was NOT to be sealed up because the time was "near;" presupposing that this book was absolutely relevant to its original audience, the audience who knew who the 6th Caesar was who was currently on the throne, and the fact that we have a temple still standing where people are worshiping, it is not far fetched to read it as a coming in judgment, using OT language, on those who broke the covenant by rejecting the Messiah. For me a key book was the dating of the book of Revelation by Gentry, "Before Jerusalem Fell", whose scholarship convinced the great R.C. Sproul, Wilson, among others of the proper dating of the book. It is a must read if one wants to put the book into historical context, and not speculative.

God uses instruments. Men are instruments. Paul was an instrument. God uses foolishness to confound the wise. Just because a position contradicts what you happen to have been taught does not make it harmful, false, or heretical. John the Baptist was a man, by the way. Does that make the belief that John the Baptist was making way for the Christ heretical and man-centered?
All of scripture is evidence of man being used by God as instruments making way for the coming messiah. It is not heresy to believe that God uses men today just as he did back then.

How often do these post millennialist repeat the same points and refuse to acknowledge the glaring problem passages against post millennialists? It would be nice and easier to believe all I had to do was go tell people to obey God and expect they would be obedient. If postmilleniast really have jedi power to get people to believe and obey everything the bible says why is the world going from bad to worse? If that were true, why would in the rest of the New testament, the writers, warn of false teachers creeping in, & even going from bad to worse. If the postmillennial interpretation of Matthew 28 was true, that Christians could just preach the gospel & abracadabra people would start obeying the world over, why would the authors warn of false teachers going from bad to worse? It’s nonsensical.
I'd suggest you actually hear their interpretation of the passages instead of calling them "glaring." After having heard their teaching for a while the "glaring" issues are all the problem passages for premillennial dispensationalists that I didn't even know existed. Reading Old Testament prophets while holding to this position is (get this) actually coherent!
