I am right there with you! I had my baby about a month before you and am on maternity leave for the remainder of the year. I am excited for this new series! During my pregnancy, I had Gestational Diabetes, so I learned a lot about my body and I've found protein is definitely essential for me not to crash. One of my current favorite high protein snacks is to do plain Greek yogurt (I know you said you're not big on yogurt), and mix in a scoop of chocolate premier protein powder and a tablespoon or less even of PB fit. Stir it allup and it masks the taste of the greek yogurt. then i quarter up some strawberries and call it a day. I've found with this postpartum Ive had a much bigger sweet tooth (especially after pumping) so i can't wait to see what ideas you have to help curb that.

I also love cereal as a snack. Thanks for the suggestions! I have the perfect time to be able to exercise after school (I already wake up early because I have to leave my house at 6:30 and my husband exercises in the morning) before picking my son up from preschool but it’s the lack of energy (hello 46 lol) and motivation that gets in my way. I need to do better!

The way you explained that you don’t have willpower at the beginning of your video really resonated with me. I’m the same way. It’s funny earlier today I was like I, tired of feeling yucky I need to get healthier and then I see your video??! It’s a sign! I can’t wait to see more of your journey!

Seeeeriously in the same journey! Look I am a teacher, just had my 3rd and LAST baby in mid July I am with you on the icky feeling! Super cool how unapologetic you are I am loviiiing it and glad you just started this I usually watch like year old videos! Lol so I am totally going to jump on this journey with you and dust off my treadmill 😅. Do you mind also sharing… “ how often you cook?” Husband and I BOTH teachers and struggling my with meals or not enough and too tired to cook! Like I knoooow there’s a way! Thanks girl! ❤

I am SO excited for this vlog series!! Please tell me how you kick out the alcohol!! Seriously, after a day of 8th graders, I need a de stressing beverage, which I like my wine. Can you PLEASE suggest a replacement! As for your food and exercise, the more ideas the better!! P.S. What an adorable, precious, cheek-pinching, cutie of a baby!! I am so happy for you!!

Girl I FEEL you. I learned for me that the act of drinking was really just a habit…the beverage itself really didn’t matter too much. I just found some yummy mocktail recipes online and make those now! I also love the Lagunita hop water! Also, I downloaded one of those sober apps just so I could track how many days I’ve gone and that REALLY helped because I didn’t wanna break my streak 😂

omg when did you have her? she's so big!! I also feel the same way about dairy. there are only a few things that I can eat, but idk it's the texture. I can eat yogurt right now, but sometimes I'm like ew I can't believe I'm eating this rn lmao

Hello, I’m a teacher as well. I live in Arbuckle and will occasionally drive up to sacramento. Hope to meet you one day! 😊I am currently nursing as well my baby is one month old. I would like to start my postpartum fitness era as well. How did you figure out how many calories to consume a day?

There are a lot of online TDEE calculators you can use…like this one here: tdeecalculator.org I asked my doctor about nursing and he said my body is probably burning 300-500 extra just producing milk, so he helped me adjust my number to 1800. You could just add 400 to whatever the calculator says to start off but I’d check with your doctor!

Ooooh high protein recipes that have no dairy would be amazing. I’m dairy free while I’m breastfeeding and so many recipes use dairy that aren’t easily subbed. Like high protein yoghurt and coconut yoghurt are not equal 😅🙄

I remember the postpartum dieting. It was so easy because of breastfeeding! Now, I am almost 50, and calorie deficit is sadly not enough at my age. What is your goal weight? You already look great!

Calorie deficit is always enough regardless of age, weight, etc. 😊 if you’re in a proper deficit consistently, you WILL lose fat. If it’s “not working” you’re not in a deficit. It’s thermodynamics!

@@EarlyEDventures No, it means that metabolism slows down when you're older. This is not news. A lot of women over 45 observe the same phenomenon. I am 49, running every other morning, active lifestyle (12000 steps per day minimum), so it should be easy when I watch my calories. It means more sacrifices, but it is worth it :)

@@gaellegoutain1286 yep. Metabolisms do slow, which means your BMR and TDEE go down, which means your calories in are going to need to be lower than some others to be in a deficit. There are definitely MANY factors that affect your deficit number, but at the end of the day if you’re in a consistent deficit (not a deficit for 5 days and then binge or eat whatever you want on the weekends) you will lose weight. If you want a great (but potty mouth 😂) lady to follow on IG who literally only posts content around this, I recommend @bethferacofitness. She explains it ALL from menopause, to age, gender etc….
