Potatoes And Beans - Great Depression Cooking - Budget Meal - Poor Man's Meal 

My Mom and Dad grew up during The Great Depression. They continued to cook and eat many of the meals that they ate during that time throughout their lives. This is a very simple and cheap meal that I call Potatoes and Beans because that's what it is! All you need is a potato or two and a can of your favorite baked beans and you have a hearty and nutritious meal.
