I like to imagine pot is like asleep and chipp is constantly throwing him around and pot just sleeps through it and he opens his eyes and says "ok you're starting to piss me off"

Midway through my fight with a chaos player my controller's battery ran out, I was panicking first trying to find a cable to plug in. The chaos player had noticed and stopped attacking but I was still no where close to plugging in the cable, it took a while I'd say 1-2 mins and I kinda felt bad for letting the chaos player wait that long. Gave them the friendly crouching to signify my controller is back and they started blasting my ass as usual. Pretty wholesome moment

I don't play Strive, but I love how Chipp pulled every trick from the ninja book to achieve what Potemkin did with 2 hits.

The fact he missed this 0:09, stood still for a moment, then started attacking again is hilarious.

Considering the fact that he was AFO and the Chipp player immediately went in instead of waiting a bit in case the other player needed to plug in his controller or something he deserves it

My favorite part is that this is probably how a canon Chipp/Potemkin fight would go down.

if you think about potemkin function like a boss. highest health in the game, unblockable moves, spammable attacks that leave you at disadvantage. it makes sense.

To be fair, the Chipp player completely had it coming. The online fighting game rules of etiquette state that if you think your opponent is AFK you back up until they crouch or press a button to let you know they're online

I got strive for my bday recently and I hopped into an online match after practicing a bit and I eventually find an opponent, they're playing Potemkin and I'm playing Testament. About a quarter of the way through the fight my controller disconnects and I think they noticed that, since they stopped attacking me until 10 seconds later when I gave them the signal that I had reconnected via furious crouching and strafing. They did the same, we continued, I got absolutely destroyed. They messaged me on steam and I told them my controller disconnected, and that is how I just happened to make friends with a Potemkin player.

I had a Potemkin do this shit to me in a ranked match once. I realized after he didn’t block any of my attacks at all that the guy was probably AFK, so I backed off and did Giovanna’s taunt where she sits down and pets Rei, and this asshole IMMEDIATELY starts assaulting me! It was SUCH A dirty trick!

The moment you jump while potem is in neutral. It doesn't matter whether they are afk or not. Your health bar is forfeit.
