Hi Friends, let's get it with this 1hour yoga class. This is a free power yoga class that you can come back to any time! In this 1 hour power yoga flow we'll move smoothly in our vinyasa and hold yoga postures for a few breaths to activate our body and mind. We'll breathe through strong yoga poses including stacked standing balances.
Whether you're doing power yoga for weight loss, yoga for strength, or yoga for flexibility this yoga class serves you.
Practice this class as a 60 min yoga workout for a chance to find mental and physical strength, perseverance, and equanimity.

This is the second video I have watched and followed along with of yours, and i absolutely love how focused you are on deep hip strength and openers. That is what I always crave when I do yoga as my hips are normally pretty stressed. Love it!! Thank you.

Loved this one Kate! It's exciting because I started doing more pilates in the last year to get stronger yet noticed that my body was feeling more stiff. After taking this class, I'm going to incorporate it into my weekly routine now as I feel it targets both strength and flexibilty. And your essence is so reassuring, peaceful. This yoga class was a real inspiration for me. I waited a few days, due to knee tendonitis, but it was a real pleasure to do it. I didn't think I would be able to improve my mobility this much. Obviously I still have a long way to go to open my hips and stretch my body and back well, but if I think about my initial condition, I'm proud of the journey I've made so far. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the work you have published on RU-vid. 🙏 Namaste

In addition, thank you for the info and knowledge about the psoas! I believe this was the missing piece of information I needed to better understand how to relieve the tension that accumulates in this area due to menstrual cramps. I knew that stretches in the hip flexor region helped loosen some of that stuck energy that made my cramps worse, but now having more of an articulation and understanding of the connecting muscles there is extremely beneficial for my ability to naturally relieve and soothe my pain. Thank you!

You have no idea how much I needed this. made me feel sooo good in my mind and body after a long stuck day. Thank you! Untangled all the sticky muscles and knots in my brain. Exactly my type of yoga pace! Slow enough to get into eeeevery juicy detail enjoy the moment and flow on. True, not so powery but just what i needed!

Love this class, perfect slow pace for my energy today. In a few videos I’ve heard you say that the psoas connects from the spine to the inner femur of the opposite leg…it connects to the inner femur of the same leg. Not sure if you misspoke or misunderstood. ❤

You're right opposite leg is incorrect - I think I mispoke but it does start at the lumbar spine!

I absolutely loved this class! You hit on so many of my favorite poses and - to this day - I still do trikonasana as if "my body is between two panes of glass". The nerd-out on the psoas muscle was very well-done, as we all need to stretch that one. It's actually the first muscle many chiropractors and other body workers focus on because of its impact on the rest of our body. And I did Plow for my "yogi's choice" pose.

That's right your my pigeon pose bestie! We both like that one. And with triko I try to stay away from the verbiage 'between 2 planes of glass'. While I love that cue and it helped me 'get' triko in earlier years, it's considered not trauma-informed now - which I recently learned so I've been trying to weave it out, respectfully! Good choice with plow. Perfect counter pose to the rest class. 👍

Wow. Kate, this is my first time here and I’m absolutely blown away. I’ve seen some comments saying this wasn’t hard enough but as someone who is returning to yoga after hiatus - this was absolutely perfect. The difficulty got me sweating - and I think breathwork is also a big part of this - as well as you coaching us to devote ourself to poses deeper each time around. Between playing with breath and depth - balance and different hand placement - this was great. Also, the ending with the thumbs to mouth and then heart was the cherry on top, I really needed this, I think I’ll be here for a while. Thank you so much 🙏🏻 ❤

Loved tree pose. And all the psoasmoves. Extending the heel to lift the was helpful. Core,knee, balance work just what I needed. Reminder of focus for balance helped. Great workout.❤

Kate this was a fantastic flow to go along with your splits playlist. Going through that playlist this past week has gotten me to successfully get my front leg parallel with the front edge of the mat during pigeon pose - which has been quite the elusive goal of mine! Thanks for sharing sharing this one, I’ll definitely be revisiting it.

Front splits took me almost a year to fully reach, so we’ll see how middle goes. I’m an artist who sits at a desk all day so hip openings and mobility are so great for me. Thoroughly enjoyed this practice. It is so informative and meaning for form me and my body for you to explain what the stretches mean and some of the anatomy to go with it. This is the first time I have experienced yoga with you, and I am going to subscribe definitely. I look forward to more information and more body, mind, and emotional well-being and building.
