hello sir. i've learnt a lot from you. the main problem is how to tuck the ppf on the edges so they wont come off and get loose. i tried heat gun but after a while it comes off. regards

If the film isn't sticking after wrapping it, try cleaning the edges more thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol.

I’ve had STEK dynoshield put on my car 3 times. Each time there have been bubbles. My approach is leave it alone and let it work it’s own way out through the film. Put the car in the sun to make it quicker. My concern in pricking it is you’re left with a hole that might allow air and moisture in later. But no doubt there are times when intervention is needed.

If you have air bubbles left behind, they will need to be popped. They won’t disappear on their own.

Thanks for the tip, my issue it seems is when I poke the bubble, air gets in as the moisture comes out, so I end up with an air bubble instead?

Id suggest popping the bubble from the side so you can press out the moisture. Popping from the side will help eliminate any air bubbles staying behind.

Thanks a ton for posting all these PPF application skills and tricks. Wish I watched this particular one before I started working on my first PPF project. Other than leaving the car under the sun, is there another way to mitigate what you called "snake trails" due to damaged adhesive?

Not really no. Thank you for the kind words. Glad you find value in our videos!

thanks for the advice, what about the tiny ones. Why do they form? I sometimes have like samll spot bubbles and don't know really what is causing them
@DriveProtected
@DriveProtected Год назад
Small bubbles are formed because of the left over solution that is soaked up in the adhesive.

@@DriveProtected will the same technique (popping with needle) work on those, though?
@DriveProtected
@DriveProtected Год назад
Yes it will work, however if they are very small I would just let them dissipate naturally over a few days instead of popping them.

For bubbles you need to pop, is there risk to a pressure washer eventually getting into that area?
@DriveProtected
@DriveProtected 4 месяца назад
I dont think that would be an issue as long as you are not hitting it immediately with a pressure washer.

Is there not a small dot left? I seem to never be able to get 100% of all fluid out. Maybe 95%
@DriveProtected
@DriveProtected Год назад
The last little amount of moisture usually dissipates quickly once under the sun.

can air bubbles be removed after 15 days of installation
@DriveProtected
@DriveProtected Год назад
Yes! They need to be popped with a diabetics needle.
@crbws6676

Will a sewing needle work?
@DriveProtected
@DriveProtected Год назад
No. Its too thick, and will leave a very noticeable hole behind in the film.
