I had the opportunity to Test Drive a Saleen Mustang a few years ago at my local Ford Dealer when a Saleen Rep. came to Sunland Ford in Victorville, Ca. and he gave me Saleen Cap as a Gift for taking the Test Drive! I also met Steve Saleen in person at the LAX Airport where he gave me his luggage to place onto the X-Ray belt to X-Ray his luggage and Yes!, he Passed! He also gave me some Saleen Post Cards which I still have along with the Saleen Cap till this Day! I live just "Up the Hill" from Steve Saleem Very High-End Auto Campus (facility) and I had the opportunity to visit there a few times and I had the chance to see the Saleen SR Race Car on Display on his Show Floor! This video is 5 years old and I'm still amazed how Steve explains all these little nuances that he knows we all notice, appreciate and would like to own. There's a cool factor here, but I can't put my finger on it and that's what keeps my interest.
They just know how to upgrade a car. They upgrade it all around including interior and exterior and its actual functional mods that help when you track it. It's just an overall much better car than a standard gt. It's a great car for the buy it and forget it type or the type that only wanna do power mods and want everything else to already be sorted. They hold strong value too.
I very much appreciate Steve's attention to detail. Back in 2017, the price points were very attractive. We shall see you what happens for the future. Everyone I've spoken with say that the Saleen has the best power delivery and track manners. Others may have more horsepower and better strip times, but it's really road course times that we're looking for which separates an automobile from a refined automobile. Think about it, Europeans have been using road courses to test car performance from the beginning. Saleen rules! Of course, a very good driver helps. I love these cars, and I'm not even sure why. Just keep cranking them out with attention to performance and very tasteful detail because a GT350R just appeared in my rearview mirror.

I love Saleem car's their beuty full I think there are collecting items all of them but the owner was a Rich man to begin with is like if I was a millionaire person that loves mustangs and I want to upgrade mustangs and make a big profet wish it's nothing wrong with that being said but if there bitchin about him loosing money or business not making much come on people his living his own dream thrust me just wanted to put this comment I don't want to insult him or something like that I think he did the best thing to mustangs other than svt so good job
Thru the years Saleen has taken alot of knocks on the chin from morons both in the youtube sudo webauto journalist sector as well as the fanboy base because of the companies ups and downs financially. Fact is.. Saleen is one of the longest running if not THE longest running ameriican tuning outfit of them all. Theyre directly responsible for the likes of Factory Fords recent Boss 302 and Shelby GT350, a racing dna that Saleen developed while the likes of Ford itself was long out of racing. Saleen dodged many bullets for decades but fell pray to the US auto industry collapse in the early 2k. people forget GM died! And was reborn from a government bailout. Chrysler was bought by Fiat and Ford was the only one to make it mostly on its own merrit. Saleen made mistakes but never in their product, only in poor business decisions and wayward customer handling. But for everything the current GT350 is, saleen did it decades prior. not just with mustang either, but also camaro and charger. The GT350 is an amazing car. the best factory mustang hands down. but youd be surprised of what these new saleens can do. About the only thing they lack is magneride. I give saleen thumbs up. and best wishes for the future.
