Matt's on the ground in China checking on the final stages of pitcher production. If you're curious about how these are made, you should definitely watch!

You're doing great work Matt, I'm really pleased you've focussed your attention on Making Things and really pushing innovation in a so-far neglected area. Can't wait to see your next projects! -john

Well done man, I totally support this decision. If you’re gonna do it, do it right. This video has made me decide to buy one of these jugs for sure. (Or is that foreshore?)

I fully understand the necessity of high(est) precision with regard to grinding and distribution, but just don't see it here...

If you aim at producing high quality items, stop manufacturing them in China. At the end of the day, you'll likely save time and money.

Yeah honestly I just check and that pitcher is sold for 40$CAD stainless or 47$CAD black version which is extremely expensive for a pitcher, like 2-3x the usual price of a pitcher and I bet 99% of people would never notice if ur handle is 2-3mm offset with the nozzle, like seriously... If I'm to pay that much for my pitcher, I want it to be hand crafted in North America or Italy and encourage the local workers, not underpaid chinese.
