I totally agree with you on Memphis. They set NBA records this year for number of different starting lineups (51), lost a record number of games lost to injury (578) and set a record for most players on a roster in a season (31). Ja played 9 games (the Grizz were 6-3 in those) after a 25-game suspension (so another 25 games lost by a star...suspension vs injury here) and then was injured for the rest of the year. Adams made a couple of pre-season games and then out for season ending surgery (then subsequently traded to the Rockets). Even people that recognize how decimated the Grizz roster was from injuries this year usually don't really grasp what it looked like. It was absolute bedlam. I watched every game this year...and even watching every game I couldn't hardly keep up with who in the world these guys were. The fact they managed to win 27 games is pretty amazing.
I agree with the Nets but i could see 2026 as a 7 or 8 seed. Huge cap space in the 2025 offseason as well as suns picks which could be pretty good from the looks of it.
Atlanta is the team I have been scratching my head over for the past couple seasons. On paper they look good. It is becoming obvious that the pieces don't fit well together.
If you have this many teams making their next playoffs in 2026, that means that many teams have to fall out that year which I think is highly unlikely. Mostly good takes overall though, keep up the good work!
I think the hawks will make it next year as they’ve said they’re trading 1 of their stars and I just don’t see them trading Trae. Maybe they also trade capela for depth at other positions.
The West is so loaded man but as a rockets fan I will say we do make the Playoffs next year if not then at least the play in because I think we are going to come out with a sense of purpose at the start of the season
I was so excited when the bulls got a new front office cause I wanted to see what they could do from scratch, but was instantly disappointed because of them trying to "win now". Maybe they take it slow starting next season 🙏
Play in next year. ATL-CHI will fall and with a shitty record you can finish top 10. Still, a full season with BBQ-Poetl and the younglings we can finish around 50%
This is a cool video but I highly disagree on a lot of the young rebuilding teams. I doubt they make the playoffs in 2 to 3 years because that would mean a lot of current good and contending teams would be bad. Who would that be? Definitely not the thunder, nuggets, Celtics, Wolves, Knicks, Heat, Magic. Idk mane that was a bunch of hot takes in my opinion but W video
All good but I can’t see the warriors kings rockets and grizzlies all making the playoffs next year bc u know nuggets thunder wolves mavs clippers prolly lakers and suns will make it and that’s already 11 maybe even pelicans with Zion back
I love the hornets going into next year. (I'm not a hornets fan) But if lamelo can stay healthy, they will MAKE THE PLAYOFFS next year in my opinion, I live Brandon Miller and they also have the 6th pick in this draft, they are going to be a very good team that will win 40 to 50 games.
I can’t see the rockets making the playoffs next year. Thunder, Nuggets, Wolves, Mavs, Clippers Suns, Pelicans, Warriors, Kings are all better currently, and I see the Grizzlies and Spurs as more likely to make it
Love the video idea. I could honestly see the trailblazers being a team that doesn’t make the playoffs until after 2030 if scoot doesn’t pan out… the west is just too good and only getting better.
I feel like the pistons saying they’ll have lots of cap space lately has just been another way for them to say they’re gonna pay another spot up shooter or mid to decent veteran 20-25 million a year because they won’t be able to get anyone else to sign there. Not making fun of them it’s just too bad
No, highly disagree for the raptors, it's going to be next year for them. SCOTTIE RJ IQ Poetel and a back up center in kelly, they will also most likely trade poetel for a better center, this team is set. Just need a few more good scorers on the bench.
There are too much western conference teams making the playoffs next year you can’t have kings rockets grizzles and warriors all making it because that leaves only 4 spots left and 3 of them go to nuggets t wolves and thunder and mavs clippers pelicans lakers and suns are all really good as well I think only grizzles and maybe rockets get in
Nets probably for me by 2026 as an 7th seed and then they just take a massive leap of faith. I do think dariq whitehead is gonna be an all star by year 2 or 3. He was a raw prospect but he's dealt with injuries
Hope so but feel like are core not that bad. Ct, Clax, Clowney, whitehead, Wilson and sharpe all young pieces plus I think Mikal will have a better year next year.
Might be biased as a nets fan but i feel like we will def make playoffs within the next 2 years mainly bcs of young stars like cam thomas and clowney but also because of our gms refusal to rebuild and to always try get stars so we will most likely be a mediocre 8-6th seed esp considering we are in the east
If the rockets, kings and warriors make the playoffs then who will NOT make the playoffs You can’t say that teams like Denver okc wolves dallas and clippers maybe Memphis if they do a big offseason to not make the playoffs So this is unrealistic and I think warriors and rockets will not make the playoffs
So you think the Grizzlies, Warriors, Rockets and Kings all return to the playoffs next year... what 4 teams in the current west top 8 miss out then? Maybe Lakers if Bron walks and they tear it down. MAYBE Suns if you think this first round exit puts them in crisis mode (doubt it - they had a 55-win pace since boxing day). MAYBE Clippers get eviscerated by injuries (doubt it - they're good enough even if one of their big 3 misses the whole season). And MAYBE one other team gets cooked by injuries like this years Grizz? It just doesnt add up imo. And then of course its hard to build a consummate picture for two years in the future, but you put the Jazz and Spurs also in the top 8 for 2026, so yet another two teams have to be displaced? Will 31 year old Jokic suck that bad? Lmao. I think itd be more accurate if the premise of the video was reaching the play-in, because the modern west is just far too loaded for all these outcomes to fit together
i dont think GSW is making the playoffs next year. These last 2 years they were a play in team. They are on the down swing. I predict GSW wont make the playoffs again until 2029.
