Reports are Washington has wanted a new Stadium for about 10 or 15 years . The rumor why the Owner caved to finally changing the name is that City won't moved forward to getting a new Stadium with out a new name .

The best stadium roof I have seen is in Seattle-- the Mariners stadium. It has a roof, but it is open air, like an umbrella that covers the stadium. Even when the roof is closed, it is still an outdoor stadium. When open, it runs on rails and stores behind the ballpark.

Honestly, if you just plop a roof on every stadium, the feel of true football will be lost. Football is an outdoor sport and over half the league shouldn't be outdoors. I understand the Super Bowl aspect of things but cities like Buffalo, which knows it doesn't have the infrastruce to host such an event, don't need to put roofs on its venues. I'm happy they didn't chose that route and cities like Cleveland, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, and Kansas City (also Denver to a much lesser extent) should keep to outdoor stadiums forever. The cold is an ally in football. Go win the Super Bowl somewhere fun like Vegas, Miami, or LA and maybe not in Cleveland lol.

There is nothing that says that football has to be played outdoors. Building an outdoor stadium is stupid. It makes the stadium good for only one thing, football, and that's asinine for a venue that will cost hundreds of millions of dollars and potentially use tax payer money to build. That's why the Vikings new stadium is covered; because the city wanted something they could use year around for more events than just football. Why cut off your nose to spite your face?

It's further evidence of the feminization and infantilization of America. Football was a game of ENDURANCE, and not just for the players. In the early season, it was late summer, often "Indian" Summer, and damned HOT. Most places have frequently autumn RAINS. Some have SNOW, especially after Thanksgiving. Fans sat on BENCHES. While I can see the logic behind a much more comfortable venue, it's simply a sign that Americans have become lazy and SPOILED. The late Rush Limbaugh, himself an excellent NFL prognosticator (and for a brief time, a commentator on ABC until he opened mouth and inserted foot), remarked that the Minnesota Vikings, then playing in the "Metronome" (Metrodome), since moved to US Bank field that replaced it on-site, would NEVER be the same team that they were when they were the "Norsemen", playing in the "ice and snow" at the old "Met" at Bloomington.

I'm surprised you didnt mention the Broncos. The new ownership group could just fund it themselves and it would be like a drop in the buckets to their net worth.

They're spending over $100 million in improvements to the existing stadium, primarily in preparation for the 2026 World Cup. I don't see them seeking a new stadium in too near of a future, as it is middle-of-the-road amongst NFL stadiums in terms of age.

What I thought and that whole renovation happened tbh I see mile high lasting maybe another 15 years tbh but again if they were to get started it will be by the airport so they could have a bunch of land and being massive, but it will suck tho to not be in downtown for games, but we will see what is to come.

Right now, the Browns are the only NFL team that has neither played in nor hosted the Super Bowl. These new stadiums look really nice but I missed the outdoor ones Updates to the Bears Stadium. 1) it’s happening and the Bears can leave at any time. They just have to pay an exit fee. 2) it’s going to be just a dome. The team doesn’t have enough to fund a retractable one. Jimmy Haslam refuses to pay 1 billion dollars for a new stadium and instead decides to use it on buying a quarter of my bucks I hope the Bears don’t leave Chicago. If they do I’m done with them. They can’t even afford to put a decent team on the field for the past 30 years but can afford a new multi-billion dollar stadium an hour outside of Chicago. Soldier Field is the perfect location. Tickets will be more and parking Gail be more plus the multi-hour drive. Just add a second team to Chicago Tampa could use a new stadium if they want to compete in the Super Bowl sweepstakes I hope they don't waste money on "retractable" roofs that are never open! The Titans stadium is excellent Did anything happen at the old RFK stadium? Just demolish it and put the new stadium there. Closer to downtown so they might get more public transit in and out because it doesn't look like there's nearly as much parking as FedEx. These cities want to host the future Super Bowl Dude your sports knowledge is insane… like who tf is Kevin Warren and how do you know so much about him? Get this man a show on FS1 Woke Warren. Doubtful. MetLife was specifically designed to be a two-team stadium, and the arrangement seems to work for them both. The Titans and Bills stadiums are so boring and ugly. Fedex Field is being wasted and it's demise is greatly over exaggerated but if they do build a new a stadium I hope it's the RFK replica on the same RFK space. The Chicago Dome looks great, I can't believe it actually increases capacity, so either the Bears need to stay or a 2nd team could play off of the Bears history there and make the teams more level. Carolina just needs an overhaul instead of a new stadium like the majority of teams. Cleveland's stadium is lifeless compared to the stadium that was before it but I new stadium would be the same way. A roof is the way to go there as well.
