Again, very good information for those in the security profession to have. Always strive for simplicity when practicing as well as applying your chosen techniques.
I have been squeezing these pressure points as the video progresses and now i have to deal with the pains i have inflicted on myself...very effective!!!!
This art form is great for those who don't really want to fight. Person 1 - "No you do something". Person 2 - "No you do something." 1- "just touch me once." 2 - "ouch, that's my nerve ending dude, I give" hahahaha
My 1st time viewing Christophers channel Extremely professional, easily understood by a calm experienced gentle teaching style. Many thanks as I now have found the defensive discipline I have been searching for. Cheers, Jeffrey Baxter
Namaste. In India, the state of Kerala, the Martial art Kalari is taught, the techniques you are so beautifully depicting is called Marma-adi, secret hit, it is closely guarded and a big secret. People like me who are of slight build but lead risky life will be indebted to you for your teaching and guidance, God Bless you!
I’m so thankful I found an instructor that doesn’t teach this type of bullshit. I asked my instructor to teach me pressure points he told me that pain compliance doesn’t work.
Thanks. Clear, well chosen and presented. I've been using and teaching MA includin Tsubo for many years, and I'm an acpuncturist besides. You have done an excellent job here
Ignore the negative comments from people who don't know what they're talking. Guy in the video seems like a great teacher and someone who has a good knowledge. The video is not meant to be for teaching you how to defend yourself in a streetfight against world class UFC fighters. It's for demonstration purpose and giving ideas, like something you want to learn no matter which kind of martial art you're currently train. It needs years of training to be able to use these techniques without thinking in a situation that suits them. This is just a small part of the whole training. I've enjoed it. Thanks for uploading. It's rare to see usefull and real pressure point demo videos.
Nah dude... This stuff, as this guy is demonstrating is bullshit. If you trust it, then I hope it helps you on the street. Otherwise it's "Here lies Duke49th. He thought Pressure Point Jitsu worked but was sadly mistaken."
Kyusho Jitsu is bullshit. Try this on someone gripping you you with resistance. This stuff won’t work. The first technique was a very watered-down grip break taught in Jiu Jitsu (and in assuming judo and wrestling) with a needlessly ornate explanation based on acupuncture.
A lot of people 'laugh' at the whole 'pressure point' thing. However - that doesn't take away from the fact that pressure points exist. Just the first point itself is extremely painful. Therefore, this is actually a pretty effective video...
Laz 001 I learned several of them in my training and when its done to you, there is nothing fake or funny about them, especially when you have a partner that doesn’t back off when you slap out. Of course, a good instructor let’s that person know they are in serious trouble for not backing off...
Honestly I have been watching several videos and this is by far the best most informative with details!! Thank you Brother for sharing this is great detail... The BEST video I have watched with DETAILS!
First time I saw this video was about six weeks ago. I was fascinated and practiced some of the techniques with a close friend. Just easy and slow, for I´m over fifty and I have bad knee which keeps me from kicking and extended fights. When I was young I practiced Taekwon-Do, Boxing and played as a linebacker in a semi-pro football team. But now I´m kinda old and in pretty bad shape. Now, yesterday I was bullied by an aggressive young man, a turk who first shouted at me and then grabbed my jacket in order to punch me with the other hand. Guess what happened. The "fight" took about three seconds. Thank you so much!
congratulations dude, I like to hear that sort of thing, I am 66 years old and emphesema but still, I will fight,, and it is good to know all that you are still capable of. I think the thing that helped me getting older was the George Foremen/Holyfield boxing match, if that fight had gone another round Foremen would have knocked Holyfield out, the thing is, age does not matter as much as knowledge. Congratulations again on your victory, you might have helped a Turk learn a valuable lesson in life.
These are wonderful techniques for women to learn. However, it's extremely important to master one's fear & anger, while using pressure points as defensive mechanisms or to gain control of one's opponent. In fact, it's critical to have complete control over one's internal self, as well as external self, while practicing any martial art. This is particularly true for women attempting to utilize pressure points. Fear can cause distraction & weaken resolve so it must be mastered. Also, one's knowledge & skill must be perfect. One's physical condition must also be perfect, as well, along with one's ability to control one's emotions & focus on details during highly stressful circumstances for pressure point techniques to be used effectively. An extremely difficult skill for a woman or anyone to master but, highly effective if it can be done. Many hours of practice over years are likely necessary, as the opposite feelings prey would normally feel & the reactions & behaviours prey would typically display must be mastered & become automatic. In addition, practicing, until any technique is second nature is critical to insure it's effective. Martial arts are all very exacting. Unlike other endeavors they require time, as well as consistent, intense practice for the body & mind to gain the physical & mental development necessary in order to achieve proficiency. Learning self defensive techniques is never a waste of time. Owning a weapon that can be taken from u & used on u or someone else later is never a good substitute for learning & mastering effective self defense skills urself. Anyone can learn to defend themselves at any age, male or female. It's important that women realize they aren't as weak & helpless as so many of them think they are & have been made to believe they are by society. It's not necessarily about women standing toe to toe & fighting it out with men. Sometimes it's about being skilled enough in self defense to escape & go for help. Knowing self defense is especially important for women for many reasons. Anything can happen, sometimes u can be surprised & just can't get to a weapon in time. Since anything can happen, it's best to be prepared for anything & become a weapon urself. To begin with, learn self defense using pressure points.
Julia McDonald-Carberry You preach it sista’!! My only thing I could see happening is that if somebody taps out that I need to actually really keep under control, I’d let up out of built in habit. Lol.
I really love the way you're explaining. Even if I already know that. It's really hard to find good instructor as you are. I love using pressure point because even if my attacker is much stronger than me it doen't matter. I'm instructor too. So good job. You're really good! 💪👍👏👏👏
Love your calm explanations. Sometimes it's hard to see witch pressure point you are explaining because there very close together, for the other points there very clear demonstrated.
Very informative, useful and much more applicable in disarming. He really knows and understand his pressure point techniques. Good demo and explanation.
Sir this is fascinating! Iam Blow away by this! Fantastic video! And judging by your accent we are not terrably far apart. I would very much like to visit your dojo.
This is the best Pressure Point video on the market. For the first time, each technique is clearly explained. Suggestion: Practice each move slowly until it becomes an automatic reflex. Why? Because in a real fight, you don't have time to think. These cool techniques are worth studying because the same pressure points can also be used in healing therapy as well as kicking ass :)
Nothing like a real fight. One does not have time for all that BS when under pressure/in a real fight. Especially if one is fighting a bigger stronger apponent.
Patrick Smith.. the only time I ever hit anyone in my life was when a young big kid attacked me in darkness.. he was a total stranger.. six feet tall, and broad.. he was about 26 years old, I was 46yrs old, in 1990. He was on drugs, and started pushing me around. I backed off for twenty yards, and tried to reason with him.. he finally threw a punch which glanced my temple. I saw red, grabbed his clothes and threw him against the wall instinctively. He came off the wall and one left uppercut from a coalminer's big mitt, put him out for the count. I went down to throttle him, and my neighbours pulled off him and calmed me down. Police came did nowt, but warned the lad to stay away from me and my property. He never came back. This kid was head and shoulders above me, and normally I wouldn't dream of hitting anyone.. but my young son, and my Wife witnessed me being attacked and were both terrified. Afterwards , as i thought about it, it was a big confidence booster to me to know that I could defend myself ! I am now 75yrs old, vulnerable, poor walker who uses a walking stick and I am constantly aware, when I am out, eyes in the back of my head, and ready with my ex-coalminer's big mitt.. just in case... no time for an aad gadgy like me ti be lukkin for pressure points! Very interesting video though, I love all thi Martial Arts techniques. But nowt like a fast uppercut ti thi chin ti mek a thug gaan cross-eyed !
Hey I've been looking at your videos I like your pressure point techniques I study Kenpo Karate I want to start using your pressure points in my style thanks again for your videos
Ohhh you can always use a gun.....Just make sure you find a way to make it easy to draw then blast those Jerks. If you do shoot someone do not talk to the cops kindy ask for an attorney and keep your mouth shut...They will try and tell you all is well but they lie to get info and that is not illegal they are allowed to lie and they will. I know because I was one for 13 years...
@@rickbowman911 you better be pulling the trigger as soon as it clears leather. i've been shot twenty two times (war, hunting, and as an MP) and still have (after near twenty years) blunt force trauma bruises from getting shot while wearing a class three vest and trauma plate (.357 sig, .44 long colt). if you carry a gun then you are a murderer, plain and simple, unless you do not have the intent to kill, in which case you carry it for intimadation and wont use it, so keep it hidden!. some of us have not fear or just too fucking stupid to care. so shoot from a distance because there really are a lot of folk out there that can take the pain and keep on comming. if someone is within three steps dont pull it cuz this is a knew world with all these videos and ease of obtaining good info, i have a 110 lb girlfriend that can take it and beat you to death with it aint no shit and there are the real criminals who can too. those with enough intellegence to keep themselves fit mind and body and really train and study! either way if your life is really in danger TRAINING will take over and hopefully you just put them to sleep long enough to go home. if you do kill them shut the fuck up for as rick so ellequently put it in the above he is right as cops and lawyers are allowed under Jewish law to lie, even on the witness stand, and as they state the miranda rights here in &^, "BOY! you have the right to confess at anytime during this interrogation. if you do not confess one will be beaten out of you, or your friends and family or at least enough for them to witness against you!"
you are great i learned these from my dad 50 years ago . you are perfect and have a great desire to teach. admire you thank you for showing all the moves always yours loyal
I learned some of these moves under Modern Arnis (called the Dance of Pain), but it was really neat seeing other ways to use them and to learn new ones. Pressure points have fascinated me since I started into Martial Arts.
Arnis doesn't mean Dance of Pain... You are mistaken ing Yawyawyan for Modern Arnis... Arnis is Spanish, the Full name is Arnis de Mano... Or depending on the type of weapon, it can be Espada y Daga. Yawyawyan means Sayaw ng Kamatayan - the Dance of Death. It utilizes stick work from Arnis as it's an art that's a combination of a form of kickboxing, stick work and dumog ( Filipino grappling). You need to ask your instructor to explain how he called Modern Arnis as the Dance of Pain... When the names in Arnis for disarming and grappling is respectively Saplit, Panuntukan or Dumog. Arnis also utilizes the Baston ( the stick) in two form , two stick fighting style or Balintawak ( one hand free, one hand with a stick) which has its own Arnis style and art. Modern Arnis could be more DOCE PARES in style. There are very few forms of ESKRIMA or KALI that are genuine... Others är ejust offshoots of one fot he 7 main styles.
I really enjoy watching your moves and the way you explain how to execute them, very professional , thanks to you and your helper very brave of him ..lol ;-)
Your partner was all red from the pressure,,,he's really good at helping you show the technical stuff,,Your speach and content are your best moves..At my age my mind has slowed down alot,,, To me the moves are only as effective as your mind allows them to be...I really enjoyed your teaching style,,,Wish my high school teachers would teach like you..Alot of people can avoid fights but sooner or later we get into defending others,,,It helps if you know something effective that doesn't kill or involve weapons,,,I usually just play guitar and sing but times change,,,With 10 cameras on us at all times controlling the fight to a non leathal ending can save your life,Hope you are doing ok as the video is 7 years old,,thanks
Take what are useful and practical, know when you can or cannot apply them in real life situations, practice, practice and keep on practice....discard what aren't useful. Be water my friends....
@@datsuntoyy you hold on to those finger touch techniques then if you feel it makes you better not to discard them and focus on practical aspects of fighting. That's your choice.
Hey !!! master here l'm again master you the one who realy to give good explanation fast and go straight to point very clearly thankyou!!! . Saludos desde mi patria , Mexico San Luis Rio colorado Sonora between the border of San Luis Arizona. my name is Angel garcia
I am Senior citizen (at that time 65) and a man came up to my face and demanded money...at that time I knew nothing about any of these points... but pushed my middle finger of my right hand into the small hole below his Adams apple and down he went...got up and went away? so that one worked....I never have seen MMA fighter us pressure point to release from a grip
@@masterpremself-defencesyst1878 you are truly amazing. I feel horrible for anyone who makes the mistake of offending you, and wonder if you've ever had the time or tendency to like girls. I'm scared just thinking what you're capable of.
Great video thank you Scott and Chris for sharing! Do you have any links to a good poster/image showing these pressure points you've talked about in this video? I can only find crappy one's that don't have enough information on them. Ohh and hats off to your partner for allowing us to see all of these techniques one after the other for an hour!! Thanks again.
My friend was a cop and worked near housing projects where all the animals lived, he used pressure points so as not to open skin, leave bumps and scars or break bones but made the savages scream!
One's timing, speed, and accuracy are of paramount importance In applying these techniques in a full-fledged fight, with a professional MMA fighter or boxer.
@@JulyFourth1776 ...speaking in regards to a pro MMA fighter,in the the streets, unrestricted by rules. The application of any martial science requires diligent practice. This style has to be mastered before effective application.
that was the most useful and informative lesson. i use aikido as my foundation... adding this is a fantastic way to scare the crap out of an attacker without causing any harm or getting myself locked up! thank you Christopher
I like stomach 9, easy to find, easy to implement when close it at virtually any angle. Thanks for showing us insuch an instructive way, keyboard warriors who have never been in fights clearly find it hard to comprehend how quick and precise one needs to be to implement these pressure points. Practice brings perfection.
Some of us HAVE been in fights and spend hours grappling and sparring a week, if not every day. This is bullshit. I went to a jiu jitsu class and tried all of the pressure points I learned in CMA and got completely humiliated when I tried to use this on their lower belts (blues and whites). They let me use all of this stuff, throwing out the rule book they usually have for small joint manipulation, etc. It didn’t work. All they had to do was resist. That’s why I switched to BJJ with some occasional kickboxing. I strongly suggest you do the same.
Useful for older people with less mobility, practised Judo for many years, but mobility is slower and not what it used to be, however there is always one thing to remember, if you control the head you control your opponent.
Awesome. Involved in a court case with ex over daughter. She lives with other new and ex guys. Close quarters visitation things like that, one already pushed me to the ground. This would in practice be a tool under the belt. I also got choked one handed at a concert so if I had known then I could have done things Alot smoother. Thank you
great stuff! i love the pressure point lessons. this would be even better if you got a large muscular person to dummy for you. that would really show the effectiveness of how to find pressure points on big muscles., etc..
