I used this pump to replace the pump on a Ecell 3100 PSI pump. ru-vid.comUgkxEU8wdEWW31diRsOawsCNfWEho39M27qd The model # is PWZ0163100.02 for those looking for a matching pump. It went on very easily - 10 minutes at most. Feels like a lot more power than the original but that's to be expected. Can't tell a difference when cleaning with the wand or floor sprayer. Would recommend as it was cheaper than most I found. The maintenance free aspect is definitely a plus too. Have used it through about 6 tanks of gas and have zero issues so far.

This is a great video - all in one place. I would like to see a video on what hoses go where. I am sure mine is set up incorrectly: the detergent somehow ends up going through the pump and into the holding tank!
Awesome video, thank you. I have a couple questions, I have a excell pressure washer with a professional series6600 with a 5.5 hp honda gx160 motor an 2200psi with 3 Gpm. So the questions now, I replaced the unloader valve an the instructions said to adjust until I didn't notice a change in pressure an then back it down an tighten nut, but if I adjust it to 2200, it still can go higher but after about 15 the motor starts to struggle so I hurry an back it down. Should I only goto 2200 no matter what even if it still gives more pressure? An also what size orfice fitting should i be using for my washer? I got it with the broken unloader so I nothing to compare it to as far as how it used to run. But I will say it seems like its more powerful than another pressure washer that had 3000psi. Oh an i also see the psi number with the guage i purchased. Thank you for your help
What brought me here was to verify that the bypass hose and connector do not have to be the high pressure kind.... just regular hose and hose clamp are sufficient.
Pressure Washer Unloader Valve it stops when i let go the trigger but when i open the with the black nut it runs ok it down some on power will i do more damage if i keep using the washer
My wand allows two setting of a high pressure and a lower pressure setting and also allows an orifice adjustment for spray patterns. It seems that when in the high pressure setting the machine works fine with plenty of water spray but when I go to the lower pressure setting on the wand the pressure is less than the garden hose feeding the machine. Is this a indication of a bad unloader? The engine runs fine at any pressure setting.
Some of the lesser expensive pressure washers use thermal relief valves. I'm wondering if these can be replaced in some way to redirect the water into a tank. This unit seems to be made to do that, but some just have this water heater type valve. Is there a way to modify these lesser units to recycle the hot water away from the pump?
my 35000# pressure washer from northern tool , will, run fine using the soap noozle, but when i put high press' noozle on it'll run afew minutes then quit, but will start again an d run another few minutes and quit, i disabled low oil pressure switch, to eleminate that problem. any idea what is causing this problem?
My pressure washer is 4 gallons per minute with a belt drive. The unloader is pulsing up and down with a banging sensation. Any idea why that is? Thanks
What would the symptom be if the water volume was too low? My washer seems to “ lose prime” and then work for 30 seconds to a minute then lose prime again (low pressure).
HI I have a Landa Mhp4-3500 hot water 3500 psi 3.5GPM. I put the gauge there and the pressure is around 1500psi basicaly i lost 2000psi. Do you think the pump is bad or the unloader?? One more question....for the hot water the unloader is close to the pump or after the heat water container that release the hot water to the hose and water gun??? Thanks
you should be using a #3.5 orifice nozzle for the size of your machine if those are 3.5 US gallons. If that's not it you can always try to adjust your jam nuts as described in the video. clockwise for more pressure. but if you feel like you have good pressure but the gauge says you don't, then you need a new guage. hope this helps
Question: I have low pressure with cavitation of water. Have oil spurting out of my red air vent cap when pumps on. Have Cat 3200psi pump. 3.5 GPM. US gallons Had the PW unit since it was new, it is now 19 years old. Had unloader replaced a few times. Is it possible that its a bad unloader causing the oil to come out of the vent cap? Thanks, Note: Live in Florida, USA where water is hard.
I know right. it's clockwise to increase pressure. 😎 just don't over do it. keep the pressure to the recommended psi for your machine. my machine is 3000 psi and I set it to 3200 but no higher.
Hello can you please help me? I really enjoyed your video, however I'm still confused on what's going on with mine. I have a 3700 psi 4gpm Honda gx390 that doesn't feel like it's reaching max pressure. I hooked a 5000psi guage exactly how you had it on your video, when I start mine up I see the needle on gauge rises between 3700-3900 then slowly decreases to 2500. Once it hits the 2500 it will then peak back to the 3700-3900 range. Once I squeeze trigger for the water to expel on the wand using a 0 degree nozzle I only show 3000psi on my guage. What do you think this could be and I did buy this used. Thank you so much thank
Pressure on your machine is properly measured at the gun end of the hose. not directly off the pump. The rating of your machines pressure is measured with the trigger closed[not spraying] the pressure when the trigger is depressed is the working pressure and not how manufacturers rate their machine. I work on these things as well as other equipment and am certified by all the manufacturers in case your wondering.
