I'd love to see a pass it on where each person picks an ingredient before anyone starts cooking and they HAVE to use that ingredient no matter what everyone else picked. The order could be based on the size of the ingredient they chose.

I think for a Pass It On, I would like to see an all Chef's edition. Talk Poppy and James into it, give every one 20 minutes (maybe even 30 so they can get extra chef-y) and then watch them all bounce and pivot on each others ideas. Obviously challenge them with a tough brief, multiple courses but at some point in the cooking for each chef one of the normals comes in and tells them they must use some ingredient that they like (Jamie will probably need to pick some other than bacon). It won't have the usual delightful chaos the normals infuse into a pass it on but I would really like to see how the chefs would work trying to enact their own visions on each other's work.

It’s really lovely that James takes the time to still come back and shoot with his friends, and it’s really graceful of the boys to let James go pursue his dreams but still come back when he has free time. They are the definition of adult friendships, sometimes personal growth may separates you, but you have to still continue to make the effort for your true friends. I love to see it.

I didn't realise how much I missed James until his name card popped up for his turn, with that guitar riff. Turned out to be one of my favourite episodes of Pass It On too!

Suggestion for future relay challeneges! 'Healthy' Takeaway? As the guys have to remake the fatty popular takeaway in a more healthier way. Another idea: Children party? Make food for kids but don't tell them that. So make it one of the relays where they all go twice, so when they begin to go again, they're told that a surpirse twist is that the food has to be for children.

James is always an absolute joy to have in a video. I miss whenever he is not in a video.

I’d love to see a teamed relay, where they split into two teams and a twist could be to switch the dish (team 1 finishes team 2’s dish and vice versa) and then they can switch back

Ben and his "clear up as you go" philosophy whooshed that pasta right out before mentioning carbonara. Also, Barry is an American at heart. Must be, that's what explains his absolute (at times unearned) self confidence and interest in pretentious/tacky items. I say this with love as an actual American--we get you, Baz!

I love how you could just see 10 years of disappointment in Ebbers face when Jamie burnt the Tortilla and I'm so happy that James is back for a pass it on. Best premature christmas gift!

I really liked Barry's idea, using snails and the Spanish ham carbonara. I think that would be tasty and you can easily add pretentious ingredients in the form of champagne to deglaze, truffle shavings or as a finishing oil and real parmesan or pecorino cheese, without spoiling the dish. I would even argue the shallots could be counted as pretentious given their price premium over the standard onion.

Having James back for pass it on was a great Christmas gift! The final dish was eccentric, but it sounds quite tasty.
