Thank you for addressing these situations. I've been driving almost 4 years and these exact concerns has me ready to leave trucking all together. Like we don't have enough to deal with in educating dispatch to be mindful of their communication with us. We too have lives outside of trucking. Thank you my brother, well said.

Good Info! I did it ONE time when I was green. Saw the driver behind me struggle and get over. It never happened again! Had someone do it to me the other day and I didn't see it because the driver I was behind got over, only to see the dude in front of me moving at a snail's pace in my lane. Luckily, I could get over. Scared the u-know-what outta me! Please drivers! We r suppose to be professionals! We have a responsibility to ourselves, our families and the general public! Thx Rich!

Man, it’s a universal problem!!! People are becoming less considerate to others. Just remember the age old adage "you gotta drive for yourself, and everyone else."

I always check and make sure NOBODY is coming or I pick it up before I hit merge in.. yeah that's why I always get over when I see someone in the emergency lane.. idc if they have hazards on or not. I dont risk that shit.

Yeah Bruh! It's called, "Impeding Traffic". I learned that the hard way. Very first time taking my CDL road test(winter 2002), I pulled out the test location and slowed down the on coming traffic(I failed that test but not only for that reason). I found out afterwards that's a real moving violation! Rather you're putting into traffic from the shoulder or pulling out of a facility or making a right turn? Not sure. But I know it impedes the flow of traffic all the same. The law may vary State to State. Great video! Way to stay on this VERY IMPORTANT topic! Keep um comin Bruh!

Well said, Sir! Unfortunately, it seems as though "truck drivers", "4-wheelers", "PEOPLE" have sunk to the point where it appears the concern for others no longer exists. Examples are everywhere, exiting on the right from the far left lane, brake checking both cars and large vehicles, passing a vehicle after following for miles just to exit in front of them, running to the end of an ending lane just to be in front of someone but all the time causing unnecessary backups. All these things and many, many more are all evidence of your point. Pride and Ego do not belong behind the wheel of any vehicle. Confidence is good but anything beyond isn't needed. Stay safe and keep the positive vibes flowing. Thank you for your insight into my industry.

Hello, MR One Rich: Rules of the Road are a must to follow, this is life and death. Mindfulness of other drivers. I have never thought of this; I can see it in my mind's eye. Merging into traffic from a dead stop from the emergency lane. Oh no... I can see this crash!!! Thank you for sharing this warning.

Hey bro, you are 100% correct, I have seen it all. I been driving over 14 years, and I have many crazy drivers doing foolish things. As a experience driving with one million miles under my belt, I wouldn't think i m super trucker. In my opinion, in trucking, there is no thing like super trucker. My life and my family came first.

Never pull over unless it's a absolute emergency. When you pull out into traffic have on your blinkers and get on your big horn a few times until you build up speed. Sometimes its hard to tell if someone is coming out.

I am guilty of pushing too hard in bad weather. I was stupid to push it hard in heavy snow. My drive tires slipped and I started to turn sideways, but I recovered quickly by letting of the accelerator. Later on a car driver passed me making the same mistake I made. They spun out and landed in the snow banks in the middle of the interstate. I don't take stupid chances anymore. And yes, i was driving for Prime.

How about doing 70mph in construction zones when posted 55mph.. I will never understand why they speed threw them..had plenty cut me off just to get to an exit ramp like the 4wheelers...been driving since 2004 ..1 accident in California in 2005 no ticket not my fault..and 1 accident in 2017 hyroplane at 55mph in Winston Salem,NC..but man I've seen some of the stupidest things out here..but im guilty of the fuel lane too..bcuz i will park or pull forward just to grab something to eat

Common sense is key. But I know as a new driver I wouldn’t do that.. but the CDL test tells them to do that.. I argued this when testing... and also in orientation for driving.. but always check mirrors & traffic. Why do they think these trucks gone speed up so fast when it 53ft trailer& tractor length needed to even get on the interstate.

Sometime it's not about proving a point.. 11 hrs a day to drive, 2- 2.5 hrs left of the 14 after pre and post tripping then the shipper starts eating at the drive line, with a low cpm its a great combination to "race the clock" or live check to check in a truck starving and shyt aerodynamically speaking, sometimes the air sucks you in and pushes you away when passing. So I don't really make a deal out of it. If I'm wrong respond respectfully pls I'm looking for 2 cents not drama

I just had a trainee that could not get the concept of a truck's speed from a dead stop is not the same as a car. I put him back in the passenger seat after he was about to make a left turn in front of oncoming traffic that a car would have to speed through to clear. Last straw. I failed him and dropped him at the yard. A few days later I saw him with another trainer who was shook by him too. These companies are pumping out bodies without concern for other's lives. U can't teach common sense or good judgment.
